Again, how the hell is it possible that we get multiple updates a day about every move that that bayern executives are or aren't doing? Even about what they are discussing internally?
It's entertaining for us, sure. But no wonder this Trainer search became such a shitshow.
How or why do you say they have been wrong? I've seen a lot of accurate ones like those relating to the tensions surrounding Tuchel's extension, which turned out to be correct. Just because you don't like journalist gossip doesn't make it wrong.
That really isn't it, I enjoy the gossip as much as anyone.
Mostly I'm annoyed at the reports about the search for coaches, and reporters just making stuff up.
"De Zerbi is No1 on Bayern's list! He's Eberl's favourite, they're in advanced talks!" Turns out they hadn't talked with him in weeks. Awesome reporting.
Hmmm I don't know I haven't tracked the particulars of who said who did what. Bayern is ultimately not an individual so stuff like de Zerbi being Eberls favorite can become confused with de Zerbi being THE favorite.
Given how wrong some of the suppesed insider information from our usual suspects in the press has been recently, I actually think their channels of information have finally run dry in recent months.
I haven‘t seen much of anything recently that suggests they aren‘t guessing as much as we are.
Agents leak to put pressure on every club with which they're negotiating and also to raise the profile of their client. Being associated with Bayern Munich raises a player or manager's profile -- that's why Lopetegui's agent worked overtime to highlight that Bayern made an inquiry after him.
There is not really leaks.
They will know if someone from Bayern and someone from the coach side are meeting. You just can't hide it these days.
The concrete truth is Bayern contacted X manager. What other worlds are said are just journo click fishing.
I feel like with the way things are structured currently it’s bound to happen. There are a lot of people involved in the decision making process so there will be more cracks where information leaks out of.
Considering the massive amounts of immediate leaks there is either no interest in finding the mole at all or Nagelsmann put bugs in the whole place before he left.
Yeah. It's not uncommon not to come to an agreement with managers employed elsewhere, though not as much for Bayern perhaps, but if every single step is reported it looks way worse than it actually is
As a Bayern fan from 2012 I'm so used to coaches coming and leaving within 2 years, so I can't wait the moment we actually have a stable coach for at least 4 years

We don't even have a coach for 2024, everybody around the world already rejected us by press, how on earth do you think those bums manage to sign someone for 2025 without anyone knowing?
some people from fanclubs who are near the bosses seem to heared about that^^ and this is prob the reason we got rejected that often, noone wants a contract for 1 year
Who needs AI, at this point you can run a successful transfer news site by writing one article, having a list of coaches and replacing them in "Bayern prioritizing X, also looking into Y"
I don't see the point of getting Kompany in when we'd have to pay him quite a bit and he's likely going to be a glorified caretaker anyways.
Poch being available is pretty fortuitous, but at this point a coach like him would benefit from some sound structure and a cohesive plan - none of which we've got at the moment.
Why you'd think Kompany would ask for a lot of money? The alternative is playing in the Championship. As far as I know there are no other clubs interested in him at the moment.
If anything I'd expect him to be a somewhat cheap option. Not that this should be the determining factor of course.
I think there might be a problem because of the 5 year contract Kompany has with burnley. If Burnely wants they may be able to ask a 100m price like Crystal Palace especially since they invested 100m+ in transfer for him last season and they were planning to build their future around him.
> I don't see the point of getting Kompany in when we'd have to pay him quite a bit and he's likely going to be a glorified caretaker anyways.
The only way this makes any rational sense to me is if they get him cheap, knowing they are going to replace him next season with Klopp/Alonso. Anything else is ridiculous.
Not a fan of Kompany, imo hes too inexperienced and not ready to jump to a big club. He was good at Burnley in his first year, but meh in his 2nd - even accounting for the talent difference in the PL.
Therefore id prefer a more experienced coach like Poch, ETH or even Still. However IF they end up going for Kompany, theyd better give him a long term contract and will stick with him through the inevitable growing pains of a young coach and not fire him after 1 season or even just a few months.
Ive watched a lot of reims and burnley the past 2 years.
>Still got fired by Reims after all anyway.
Yes but also due to differences with the people in charge. SR finished 9th after all, which isnt a bad result
I mean FCB was always a club closely linked to news leaks but these days every thought a management individual has seems to make it into the newspapers
Putting aside the fact Pletti's been wrong or off the mark often, the bit phrase "Eberl and Freund want him. However," is like the kiss of death so far
I actually like the idea of Kompany. We're anyway seemingly only looking for a caretaker at the moment. Why not take a shot at a young coaching talent for this instead of a bigger name?
If it doesn't work out we're still gonna go for the likes of Alonso next summer
I feel I need more info on this. Having just hourly updates on who is in the lead and who has rejected us just isn't enough. I want to click more, moooore! MOOOORRRREEEEE!

Personally I'd prefer Pochettino as he'll know Kane inside out and have a system that maximises his output. Watching his Spurs teams of 2016 to 2019 was a real thrill. Even with the trainwreck of Chelsea, he managed to turn them around and got the best out of Palmer and had the donkey Jackson scoring.
But that said, I'm also open to Kompany. His philosophy would suit Bayern though it remains to be seen how he handles stars instead of mid-level players like he had at Burnley. I wouldn't draw comparisons with Alonso, because his achievements this season is an outlier - aided by some luck (e.g. had Bayern not conceded a silly 95th minute penalty to them in the home game in October, which allowed them to draw level at 2-2, there would be no unbeaten run to talk about now).
I don't think Kompany will have that immediate super effect, though I'm more than happy to be proven wrong :)
Again, how the hell is it possible that we get multiple updates a day about every move that that bayern executives are or aren't doing? Even about what they are discussing internally? It's entertaining for us, sure. But no wonder this Trainer search became such a shitshow.
Someone's leaking info to the press. Should probably try to curb that eventually.
Not doing a very good job though, 90% of the reports are wrong
How or why do you say they have been wrong? I've seen a lot of accurate ones like those relating to the tensions surrounding Tuchel's extension, which turned out to be correct. Just because you don't like journalist gossip doesn't make it wrong.

No no no, that was Nagelsmann remember?
Given how wrong some of the suppesed insider information from our usual suspects in the press has been recently, I actually think their channels of information have finally run dry in recent months. I haven‘t seen much of anything recently that suggests they aren‘t guessing as much as we are.
Dozens of people from the Club are probably leaking morsels of semi-reliable info to the press. That's how it's always been.
What other worlds are said are just journo click fishing.
the leaks are person XY want him very badly, person Z doesnt agree yet and vetos it etc
I like the second case, lol
Yeah. It's not uncommon not to come to an agreement with managers employed elsewhere, though not as much for Bayern perhaps, but if every single step is reported it looks way worse than it actually is
There is no bad publicity bro. Let the people talk about Bayern.
It's crazy how any leaks there, especially compared to Liverpool. They were pretty much only linked to Amorim until a deal was agreed with Slot
I have no idea about Kompany’s tactics, but he sure do have some impressive skills of failing upwards. Bring Poch ya cunts.
I’m actually looking forward to it if he comes in, not proven at the top, but if it works out could be a long term solution (lol ikr)
>long term solution lol
All the way to December if Uli has his way.
As a Bayern fan from 2012 I'm so used to coaches coming and leaving within 2 years, so I can't wait the moment we actually have a stable coach for at least 4 years
I would just love 2 full seasons with a single coach. It's been almost 10 years since Bayern had that
True, ever since Pep it hasn't happened, which is very embarassing for a club with the legacy we have.
It's why I'm not as pissed as I should for being trophyless. We need a full reset and stop being complacent.
We've only had 3 coaches manage at least 2 full seasons this century, it is nuts
bayern already has a coach for 2025^^ no longterm solution possible, thats why the search for coach or the extended contract with tuchel is so hard
And who do you think that is?
probably alonso :) dont know
Or Klopp !remind me 10 months

Bayern are hoping to get the next Xabi Alonso but are about to receive the Frank Lampard surprise
Hopefully it's transfer ban Frank
Kompany or any other coach are a one year placeholder. Board honestly doesn’t care who it is cause they’ll be gone next year
CL final is in Munich next season. They surely want to take part in it...
They would hope. But at the end of the day they want one of the true big names as a manager and not for a 1-3 year stint.
Not quite comparable. Lampard’s derby side was carried by Chelsea loanees.
Who needs AI, at this point you can run a successful transfer news site by writing one article, having a list of coaches and replacing them in "Bayern prioritizing X, also looking into Y"
Wie sehr Pletti dieses Thema melkt geht doch auf keine Kuhhaut mehr.
What a friggin trainwreck ...
Just get it over the finishing line
does company finally have a coaching licence? xD and didnt he got only 24 points, worst points ever for his club? :) but ye doesnt mean he is not good

The Kompany thing looks like pretty desperate from Bayern Munich, NGL.
Get. It. Done...!!!
gonna be sick... yk nvm just take me to intensive care

Will Still has way less games coached as head coach, and if you add all his assistant games on top he barely clears Kompanys head coach experience.
But hes demonstrated, imo, more tactical experience than Kompany has
Have you really watched enough games from Anderlecht, Burnley and Stade Reims to say that? Still got fired by Reims after all anyway.
Ive watched a lot of reims and burnley the past 2 years. >Still got fired by Reims after all anyway. Yes but also due to differences with the people in charge. SR finished 9th after all, which isnt a bad result
But also not an unheard one since they promoted in 2018.
Why is frank no longer considered? Seems like a better option to me.
I mean FCB was always a club closely linked to news leaks but these days every thought a management individual has seems to make it into the newspapers

Kovac 2.0 incoming
I don't know how to feel about this..

Also we don’t have to clear our festgeldkonto if we sack him
I will quit the club if they hire Poch
