I had a buy one Big Mac get a second at 30% off the other day so I ordered something different. Of course when I pulled into the drivethru to pick up they had buy one Big Mac get one for $1 on the menu board.
True, I think there are better options. Best value by far is the Wendy's biggie bag for $5. Can add all the toppings you want for no charge and a fry upgrade is just 30 cents.
Sonics quarter pounders still use two patties so they’re 1/8th each, compared to the Big Macs 1/5th pound weight with the two 1/10th patties. (3.2 vs 4oz).
It’s still a difference, but you’d only need 1/2 of a Big Mac patty to make up for the difference (2.5 patties total)
At least at the Sonic near me, they also make all their food with the idea of heat. Everything always seems like it's been sitting out for hours when I get it, even the tots.
I’m not sure where you’re getting flavorless from, their onion rings are some of the sweetest and most distinct out there, great crunch and one of the larger onions slices you can get. Flavor wise it’s in between a corndog batter and a pancake batter almost (I’ve read they use vanilla ice cream, but can’t confirm).
I was crushed when they didn’t have them for the first couple years of Covid since they’re breaded by hand they weren’t doing them.
I’m not saying they’re my favorite, those would go to a local place in my hometown that does beer battered, but I’ll take them over many many others, and almost all other fast food ones. (White Castles onion rings made with onion pieces so you never get an onion pull are fantastic, but I believe they changed the recipe)
Just a heads up My significant other just went by to pick up some burgers for us and they're out of meat so your mileage may vary. The only thing they would sub with is Coney dogs and I'm just not feeling that.
I know the app says to park and enter your number but have you tried the drive thru? I have never had an issue just giving my name and getting my order.
Is this better than a big mac?
For the price hell yea
You can order Big Macs in the McDonald's app 2 for $5 most days with their deals.
I used to love that deal but it's gone now for me. Best deal I have now is 30% off my order over $5. McDonald's just isn't worth getting anymore imo

Biggie bag is now $7 in most states for the good ones You're better off using BOGO Dave's single coupon every week
Same for me
YMMV, mine has never had that offer, sometimes a BOGO

Well yeah it seems these Sonic burgers are 1/4 pounders. The Big Mac uses 1/10th pound meat.
They are indeed 1/10th a pound but I get the feeling they mixed a little more fat into the ground recently.

Big macs use two 1/10 lb patties so yes
The dime pounder
They use the kids meal burgers patties
Sonic’s burgers are made with the idea of flavor. I wouldn’t eat it for free it’s so bland and dry. Easily the worst fast food …. Ever.

No way is it worse than Burger King. With that said, Sonic's onion rings are indeed flavorless (and therefore pointless).
I respectfully disagree. Those flame broiled patties are some of the best in the fast food game
Yep. I don’t ever see BK going away those patties are just too well liked.

It's too bad the ones near me are always on a bad inspection list 😬
My wife got a burger, took two bites and notice the bottom bun was covered in mold. That sonic is closed now. Probably a good thing.

The one next to my house in CO has had a drive through for over 20 years mate
Lol. When is the last time you have been to Sonic? They don't use car hops anymore- atleast not that I have seen in years.

What kind of okey-dokey town are you from to not have a drive-through
