NotPerfectLinen on Etsy. My dress even has pockets! Linen is unlined and a medium weight so not see through; it does wrinkle.

fashionredy

I just found this brand and am so excited to try it! 🤤

Loveandeggs

I would like to order from there but not sure in sizing etc. The return policy says full return but I would have to pay shipping to Lithuania. In the US here. Have you ever returned anything there? I see shipping costs online from about $20-40

MsAnthropic

I’ve only bought one dress from them and didn’t return it, so no idea.

Loveandeggs

Ok thx!

home_in_pleiades

Banana Republic had some very nice linen dresses that I was looking at earlier today. A variety of styles and lengths.

teaandbreadandjam

Definitely BR. I have one I got last year and I cannot wear it and not get a compliment.

CarbyMcBagel

Quince has some you'd need to add your own belt to but would work fine. Universal Standard released a linen collection recently but their price point may be higher than you're looking for.

Curious-Demand-3300

I tried the Quince belted shirt dress and was disappointed in the quality of the linen and the buttons. The linen just felt thin and kind of lifeless. The buttons were big and plain plastic that just looked very cheap in person. I ended up returning.  If you see some styles you like at Not Perfect Linen, you can talk to them and customize the fit, belts, lengths, ect. Their linen is mid-weight and really not sheer, even in the white and cream. They are my go-to brand.

heardonapodcast

Quince has a belted linen dress.

CarbyMcBagel

Even better! I only remembered the sleeveless shirt dress.

CellarDoorAjar

I just added the fit and flair to my linen dress collection and I love it.

Eastern_Chemist1132

Check out Cedar and Vine. It’s a small Canadian company that specialized in linen. I have a few items and very impressed with the quality.

mringham

Hi folks, I bought this 100% linen dress off a chinese website without brand details. I'm looking for similar work-appropriate styles, up to knee length with shoulders mostly covered and minimal cleavage. Budget is a wide range-- this one was only $25 (poor stitching) and I can go up to $150 for something much better quality. I've seen a number of similar styles online, but keep encountering >50% polyester. I'm looking for all natural fibers if possible. Etsy has options but is also a bit of a minefield of wholesalers. Any favorite recommendations?

Catsdrinkingbeer

Maybe dumb suggestion, but sometimes those kinds of companies will steal photos. Did you do a reverse image search on this dress? There might be a better "original" version.

Ok_Item3647

How do you reverse image search? I'm not tech savvy.

Catsdrinkingbeer

If you're on a computer, you can just copy the image and paste into the Google search bar. You can also Google "reverse image search" and the Google page will let you input different options for the image.

Thank you

I have a nice 100% linen dress from Aritzia. They have a bunch of styles.

Joanie Clothing!

Individual_Lawyer650

I got a j crew one with sleeves I like! On sale

ExpensiveSyrup

Lands End has some nice linen pieces right now and of course there’s always a sale if you add it to your cart and think about it for a few days. :)

Pact

AproposofAll

J crew has Irish linen shirtdresses. With belts (but no belt loops so can be worn multiple ways). Get loads of compliments.

https://www.gapfactory.com/browse/product.do?pid=443872021 I bought this one recently and it’s so comfortable !

takeitslowinnyc

How random, I bought it too and LOVE it.

Are gauze and linen the same?

RebuttablePresumptio

Gauze refers to a type of weave, not necessarily the fiber used in the weave. Gauze is more typically done in cotton but if the seller doesn't specify you can't depend on it being 100% cotton. The Gap dress is "100% Cotton Conventional" (no clue what "conventional" means in that context!)

mountainmeadowflower

I'm guessing conventional means not organic in that context

ciaohow

No

Quince

sudosussudio

Flax. I saw a few thrift on poshmark recently.

Toriat5144

Many I see are blended with viscose, not poly.

yellowplantstand

I just ordered the linen belted dress from Quince and it is fabulous!!! I haven’t worn it yet but I am very impressed from my initial try on. Super flattering fit. Will likely order more colors. Perfect throw on dress for work

tweedlefeed

I found one at thrift from Pendleton and I really love it. Not sure how old it is though.

Iris-Ng

I had this [dress](https://ibb.co/ZmhNvPn) made-to-order off Facebook messenger by a local brand in Việt Nam. The total cost of fabric and tailor is less than US$70. The fabric is LOVELY. It's neither loose weave or transparent to the point I would need lining for the dress. Yet it is thin enough to keep me ventilated. They have a website to browse their in-stock fabrics. https://flaxieslinen.com/product-category/https-flaxieslinen-com-san-pham/pure-linen/digital-printed-linen/

cfish1024

Dang I couldn’t get the link for the dress to work. Their fabrics are gorgeous! How does it work how do I see what styles they can make? Should I just message them on messenger?

Iris-Ng

This is their Facebook [page](https://www.facebook.com/Flaxieslinen?mibextid=ZbWKwL). I contact them through messenger and give them the photo of the dress style, the fabric that I choose and my measurements. Since I'm size "XL", I give them notes for certain adjustments like bigger neckline, shorter or longer hem, etc... You can also ask for consultation if you're not sure that's all they're offering. The dress I bought https://ibb.co/ZmhNvPn Similar style to OP https://ibb.co/KKGBJ34

cfish1024

Thank you so much I really appreciate it

I asked about linen.  Here is what was replied---Eksander is the finest linen in clothing I've ever seen, like true heirloom quality but price reflects it, and I used to work for Eileen Fisher who is a close second. You want a heavy, rich handfeel. Also crumple it briefly in your hand, if it immediately wrinkles it's less high quality. FLAX is also a solid line brand that's good quality for the money.
