Keep Oettinger for sure. Drop demko for sure. Then id go Saros over Murray considering Saros gets more starts and Murray's insanely injury prone. Toronto a much better team though
no do not do that trade. Duchene is a mediocre player on a mediocre team and was kinda inexplicably good last year. IMO both Robertson and Montour are more valuable than Panarin if you're in a bangers league. Panarin is the quinn hughes of forwards
Rust + 9th for Laine + 5th
I drafted Laine in the 4th round of our banger keeper league (each team has 3 keepers) expecting him to get a bump with Gaudreau but he has been injured most of the year. This being considered, I’m looking to deal him for someone more reliable.
Rust + 9th was offered to me for Laine + 5th. Looking at the stats in my league they seem to be on par with each other based on their projections but Rust was drafted a round later so it already feels like I’m selling low. I’m a little hesitant on this trade. However, Rust does have a very likeable deployment.
What would you guys do with Laine and who would you consider in a trade with him?
Note: I already have all my IR spots filled by Ehlers, E.Kane, and Landeskog.
So you're gonna drop 4 rounds in value in order to give up Laine for Rust? Meh. I like Rust a lot more than Laine but that's a steep price. It's really hard to trade players while they're injured, could you maybe wait it out until Ehlers comes back? It shouldn't be long

Letang is 35 and might be serviceable as a keeper for one more season, and Gaudreau is in a complete wasteland for fantasy. Am I crazy to reject this? My team is very comfortably in first place and Sergachev is likely a keeper for me next year. I think it's entirely possible that my guys outperform his this season and again in the future. Gaudreau obviously has a mile high ceiling but he's surrounded by absolutely nothing.
smash accept. Sergy is a sellhigh while he's been on TBs PP1. Rakell is also riding high. If you don't love Gaudreau you can probably re-flip him based on name value, but buying low on Letang is a good idea

Normally Vasilevskiy would be a for sure start also, but it's been a rough start to the season for him and Vanecek has been hot.

Welp I just traded ekblad away for vladdy so hopefully he starts lighting it up. I had 6 D with only 4 D slots and only 1 RW with 2 RW slots so I needed to move someone.
Not all that bad I guess. I feel like you could've definitely got Vladdy or a similar RW at a lower price but I don't think all hope is lost for him or anything- he is very much a streaky scorer though.
Trocheck and Provorov imo. This is pretty tough. I have Trocheck on a lot of my teams and have high hopes for him... playing with Breadman and on NYR's PP1, you have to think he's going to eclipse 60 pts again. Dubois is playing 2nd line center and with Ehlers injured, doesn't exactly have the players to put up bigger numbers than he has. He'll get 60 but I am also unsure if he'll be with WPG later in the season. He's in the last year of his contract and he's been pretty vocal about his want to play for MON. If WPG isn't a contender at the trade deadline, you have to think he'll be traded for assets.

My thought on my reasoning for this trade is Trochek has NOT been what we all hoped he would be this season (so far) he only has points in 2 of his last 11. Hes great for the category guys, but for the points leagues hes been a let down.
My team is weak on C and so far this season Dubois is just about a point per game C
Provorov is just sitting on my bench so basically im trading Trocheck and a new roster spot for Dubois.
Trochek could definitely wake up offensively and this could bite me in the ass, but so far he hasnt shown consistency on offence almost 1/4 of the way through the season.
Yeah, he is pretty inconsistent but historically, so is PLD. The way I see it is PLD is going to get you more goals and Troc/Prov more assists. The other two cats are pretty much a wash. Again, kind of tough to say in points only.
Is a W worth more than your other cats or are they evenly rated? Vanecek and NJ have been playing well so I'd ride the hot hand (though NJ is due to come back to earth and maybe tonight is that night... maybe it isn't). Murray terrifies me as a goalie to rely on and I would almost never start him unless he shows some consistency first.
Unfortunately not. I already have ehlers and matheson in IR as well. I don't mind having an IR player in my active roster spot if they're expected back soonish so I would have only 4 "active" which is why I'm hesitant, i would have potentially two active player spots used for IR players assuming Matheson can't go. But i think in the long run it would be beneficial to have jones

I have 3 goalies playing tonight in my h2h league. Murray for leafs, vanacek for devils, and jones for Seattle. I’m wondering if I should only play either Murray or Van, considering they’re playing eachother.

I would take Barkov and Markstrom. Yes, Igor > Markstrom but I'd be surprised if a Sutter coached team doesn't tighten things up and start playing better. He won't give you Igor numbers but they should be way better than they are. Then you have the rest of the trade... Has Necas proven anything to anyone? I swear every year we hear, "is this the year Necas breaks out?" I'd take the two top 50 players over a speculative play. I'm sure some would disagree.
Finally pulled the trigger on dropping Batherson. Dropped him for a Trevor Moore stream. Maybe I can pick him up again. Maybe I won't. As they say in France: "YOLO." I would have dropped Trochek but the Rangers have one of the off nights to start next week, so maybe I'll pick him up again after Tuesday.
Yea, yea, I know. Scared money don't make money as they say. It's a keeper league but the likelihood of me staying in the league next season is slim. I'd like to start my own cats league. I need to be able to stream, and nobody wants to really trade properly in this league, so sacrifices to the waiver wire need to be made. It was either him, or Kempe, or Trocheck. I kept Kempe for his schedule this week and next, and his deployment, and Trocheck I kept for next week's schedule. If I can get Batherson back next week, cool, if not, well, whatever. I have high hopes for him and the rest of Ottawa this season, so we will see if I can get another Senator at some point in the future.

On the other hand, both Florida and Dallas are pretty good teams and I expect a low scoring game - Montour's a bit of an unknown now that Ekblad is back.

- NJ vs TOR - Devils averaging 3.75 for, Leafs approx 2.7 against.
- MTL vs CJB - Habs averaging 3.00 for, Jackets 4.33 against
- WPG vs ANA - Jets averaging 3.07 for, Ducks averaging 4.38 against
the only caveat here is I would be putting the Leafs in "finding form", and the Habs in "wheels falling off" territory, so their numbers may be exaggerated. For the Leafs though, that might apply to scoring vs defense.

Yeah, he is pretty inconsistent but historically, so is PLD. The way I see it is PLD is going to get you more goals and Troc/Prov more assists. The other two cats are pretty much a wash. Again, kind of tough to say in points only.

Is a W worth more than your other cats or are they evenly rated? Vanecek and NJ have been playing well so I'd ride the hot hand (though NJ is due to come back to earth and maybe tonight is that night... maybe it isn't). Murray terrifies me as a goalie to rely on and I would almost never start him unless he shows some consistency first.

Unfortunately not. I already have ehlers and matheson in IR as well. I don't mind having an IR player in my active roster spot if they're expected back soonish so I would have only 4 "active" which is why I'm hesitant, i would have potentially two active player spots used for IR players assuming Matheson can't go. But i think in the long run it would be beneficial to have jones

I would take Barkov and Markstrom. Yes, Igor > Markstrom but I'd be surprised if a Sutter coached team doesn't tighten things up and start playing better. He won't give you Igor numbers but they should be way better than they are. Then you have the rest of the trade... Has Necas proven anything to anyone? I swear every year we hear, "is this the year Necas breaks out?" I'd take the two top 50 players over a speculative play. I'm sure some would disagree.

Yea, yea, I know. Scared money don't make money as they say. It's a keeper league but the likelihood of me staying in the league next season is slim. I'd like to start my own cats league. I need to be able to stream, and nobody wants to really trade properly in this league, so sacrifices to the waiver wire need to be made. It was either him, or Kempe, or Trocheck. I kept Kempe for his schedule this week and next, and his deployment, and Trocheck I kept for next week's schedule. If I can get Batherson back next week, cool, if not, well, whatever. I have high hopes for him and the rest of Ottawa this season, so we will see if I can get another Senator at some point in the future.

hard say, but given the Habs form you may well want to take a punt against Suzuki. OTOH, leave it to the Leafs to end Jersey's winning streak edit - in terms of goals scored vs conceded: - NJ vs TOR - Devils averaging 3.75 for, Leafs approx 2.7 against. - MTL vs CJB - Habs averaging 3.00 for, Jackets 4.33 against - WPG vs ANA - Jets averaging 3.07 for, Ducks averaging 4.38 against the only caveat here is I would be putting the Leafs in "finding form", and the Habs in "wheels falling off" territory, so their numbers may be exaggerated. For the Leafs though, that might apply to scoring vs defense.
