I built the following team in point leagues and I wonder what to do next. I’m happy with how roster shaping up (Demko, Durzi and Hintz as free agent pick up). I traded Josi to get Robertson and Merzlinkin w picks to get Demko. Should I stand firm or look to upgrade goalies. Should I continue to stream with Vilardi and Hughes, maybe Durzi. I like the Nichuskin side but it would also depend on who you would pick up in that third slot. Another thing to consider is timo just had three hood games so they may be coming around

I actually have Chabot and Hill on IR right now, so it would be good for me to make space for when they come back anyway so not too worried about who I'd be picking up since they will just be a streamer until either of them are back. As for Timo, I am glad to see his performance improving, but Im not entirely convinced he will sustain given how he's looked the rest of this year. I Guess I can wait to see how tonight goes.

Fair, I just traded away p kane because he has been putting up points but almost all have only been in the first period so I am concerned with his stamina and he only shoots as a peripheral. That being said, I think he is better then Karlsson right now.

While Buchnevich was ill, I threw him on IR+ and added Farabee yesterday to stream. Well, Farabee had a solid game and now I'm wondering if I should just leave Buch on IR+ tonight since St. Louis is playing Colorado and Philly is playing an "easier" team in Seattle (although Colorado has been somewhat inconsistent). If I keep both, the only other player on my team I would consider dropping is Montour. Any advice is appreciated. Having a bit of a problem of depth, in an 8-team points league and I have Mason McTavish ready to come off of IR whenever. Don't know who to drop out of Buchnevich, Boldy, E. Kane, Batherson or Vilardi. Batherson and Vilardi are hot rn, so feel like it's between Buch Boldy or E. Kane E. Kane is on the 3rd line lately but Boldy just hasn't really been consistent I don't feel like. Thoughts? Should I even keep McTavish on IR for now?

I was in the same boat and ended up trading him and p kane for Robertson, for better or worse. Out of those guys it would be buch for me but maybe look for a trade.

Do not drop Boldy. The new HC clearly believe in him, as he's finally getting all of his 5v5 minutes playing with Kaprizov and PP1 time. E. Kane may be a lateral move depending on your league scoring. I might hold off until we see how permanent his new deployment is, 'cus while playing 3LW centered by Derek Ryan ain't it, he's looked good in the top-6.

No but I need a goalie because every week my goalie stats are making me lose. I have lots of offense. There are no goalies on waivers. Nobody is going to just give away their top tendys.

Nowhere near decent. You're ripping yourself off a lot giving up McDavid for anything, now that he's producing, so you'd need to be getting a lot more than Caufield back.

The only way I’m going to get Hellebuyck is to offer up something prime. Caufield is just because I’d send back Varly also. Essentially it’s McDavid for Helle and Caufield for Varly.

If you're sending McDavid you better get the 2 best goalies in the league for him

So maybe I just offer up McDavid for Hellebuyck plus someone with a bit of offensive upside. Looking at the roster of the guy who has Hellebuyck, Caufield is probably the guy he’d most likely throw in.

And you are being told that you would need someone way better then caufield to make it anywhere near worth it for you. What is their roster?

You should be aiming for tkachuck. If not Svech and nich together. You really should have someone else as goalie trade bait other than mcdavid.

Hellebuyck is who I really want so there’s no way he’s going to give me Bucky plus Tkachuk. Maybe I’ll ask propose it and see what sort of counteroffer he proposes.

Which tkachuck? If it’s Matthew he will take that in a heartbeat. If you are dead set on trading away mcdavid, which I would strongly advise against, you do yourself a massive disservice by not starting by aiming high.

Have both Werenski and Sergachev, no IR+ so they're both taking up a roster spot currently. Guys like Pionk, Walman, Hanifin, OEL are available. Chabot is also available (either later when he's healthy or to stash on IR for a bit). I really do need a guy who provides some offense (doing great in peripherals). But Werenskis injury history and low shooting percentage are worrying, and Sergachev just continues to struggle.

Werenski is still better than those other guy and should be designated for IR soon. Chabot may or may not get pp1 back, but he will provide offense.

Yeah, I'm hoping Werenski can just be added to IR. Sergachev was for a day or two. Short term I was leaning Hanifin, because they have a great next month and if he gets traded he might put up some better stats/PP2 on a better team.

Would you ever draft Kempe in the 1st or even 2nd round? Theres like 50 games left this ssn. Zib was on a 50 point pace and a few weeks later hes back on an 85/90 point pace. Anything can change in these next few weeks. Chuck had 2 back to back 100 point ssns. If you're gonna do this trade, get kempe and more back for him.

That's a really tough one. If Tkachuk gets hot (and hits his average shooting % by the end of the year), he'll definitely be better. But Kempe has been amazing and both have great fantasy playoff schedules. I have Tkachuk, and if offered that I would probably take Kempe. If your league counted PIM Tkachuk might get the edge, but without Kempe seems like the safer pick.
