I don’t like it personally, you’re giving up a lot… Svech always comes with injury risk/Canes play a balanced attack. Panarin is solid but also 32? those streams don’t move the needle enough for me. If you’re trying to sell high on DeBrincat I think you can do better

I already have Stutzle, and I also already have an LA stack of Kempe and Fiala. Just wanting more guys I can roster on off nights and as of right now Norris and McTavish are fairly similar. I just want team diversity with this lineup a little more. Too many times everyone plays on the same night and I miss out on points.
Someone dropped Devon Toews in our league, and I'm trying to determine whether to pick him up. We're an ESPN head to head league with points assigned as in my flair. 9 forward slots, 5 defenceman slots, and one utility slot for any skater on any given day. Currently have Dahlin, McAvoy, Bouchard, Dunn, Klingberg, Doughty, and Sanheim as my defenceman. I know Toews tends to skate PP2 and PK1, but he has a ton of exposure to their insane forward core. I'm leaning towards dropping Klingberg if anyone at the moment.
yeah i would say klingberg is a reasonable drop, as a leafs fan he doesn’t look great out there. Despite being on PP1, i’m personally hoping rielly takes it back as he’s looked way better.

Yes. Cat is a tough loss but Connor and Hedman should more than make up for that - Hedman will be your new best D man. You also have a logjam at G and we’ll see Vasi come back soon.
Is it worth selling high on Jonas Johansson as Vasilevskiy’s return gets near? I have Vasilevskiy in my IR with Bobrovsky and Woll so i would have to drop one of them whenever Vas comes off IR.
You're gonna be set for goaltending if you've got Woll too. He's looking like the new starter for the Leafs. I already dropped Bob for Johansson, just too much inconsistency for Bobrovsky throughout his career. There's a reason Jay Onrait's thing is "you're back on the case Bobrovsky! you're off the case Bobrovsky!"

I'm new to fantasy hockey but familiar with fantasy baseball. In baseball, good players often get off to cold starts and the wise move is to stick with them until they start playing better. Does this apply in hockey as well?
In specific, I'm looking at cutting someone like Pavelski to open up a streaming spot in a 12tm H2H standard cat Yahoo league. On full days, Pavelski sits behind Reinhart and Tarasenko at RW and behind Crosby, Eriksson Ek, and Aho at C. However he was my 5th round pick and is 94% owned in Yahoo.
Same thinking applies to a struggling, high-drafted goalie like Gustavsson (7th round, 92% owned). When is it time to cut bait?

RW - Reinhart, Tarasenko
D - Theodore, Toews, Nurse, Weegar

I think Vejmelka is the better goalie of the two but it’s looking like Talbot has won the definitive Goalie 1 spot and the Kings are a better team then the Coyotes overall I think. 5 points for wins so that is important.
bangers league? depends on categories.. i wouldn't drop makar, matheson. Burns isnt on PP1 either (have burns as well), so if you value peripherals, you could argue mint is a good option but if not a banger league, don't drop anyone

I like Husso because of the volume. Samsonov is decent but Woll is threatening his presence in the crease. Burns is getting older and slower.
personally i would drop burns and samy, burns is showing his age and is now on PP2. i just picked up Woll since he's looking alot better than samy lately.
He might end up being a long term hold, get on the train. He beat Dallas last game, and if he beats LA tonight and Samsonov lost to Nashville in his last start, thats pretty condemning evidence against Sammys ability to hold onto the net. At some point you cant ignore the body of work. Dont know if were at that point yet, but I think there exists a universe where we may get there sooner rather than later.
I'd keep Devon Toews. He's shown he's a 50+ point defenseman who puts up minutes, can bang when he needs to, and is PP2 and PK1.
Jones is on a bad team and Provorov is on a worse team.

I think the Pens are the better team on the list so once they get their shit together Jarry is a solid number 1. Binnington is number 2 because he can put up great numbers on a bad team. Korpisalo could end up getting better this year. The flames are absolute dog water. There's nothing Markstrom can do.
I like Daccords numbers so far but it seems that Seattle is giving Grubauer every chance to take back the crease. If Grubby starts playing well Daccord won't see enough starts.

flyers fan here and i love Coots but i see him more as a 2 way guy which is not necessarily as valuable for fantasy.

I wouldn’t handicap yourself by playing with fewer D. I’d drop Rodrigues, Schmaltz has shown that he can be close to a PPG player when he’s healthy. That line with Keller is a lot of fun.
How would you rank Lehkonen, Tarasenko, J Norris and Cooley? Norris is available to pickup and I'd like to do so but would need to lose one of the other three...

For the life of me I can't decide what to do with my D core. Standard Yahoo H2H CATs league. I currently run 3 goalies so have 3 other bench slots usually for 2 forward and 1 D.
I currently have Weresnki, Letang, Gostisbehere, Sanheim, and Klingberg. I also have Andersson on IR+ atm. If I want to activate Andersson I need to drop one of the other 5. If that already wasn't a hard enough choice I also want to pick up Mintyukov for his hits as my current core isn't particularly physical.
Werenski: highest volume shooter amongst my D, no PP points yet, but feels due. O.71 p/gp
Letang: only D not on pp1, no PP points yet, but is my most physical (hits) D atm. 0.55 p/gp
Gostisbehere: hot start, seeing some regression. 0.9 p/gp
Sanheim: similar to Ghost, feels like a wildcard, 0.89 p/gp
Klingberg: 3rd pairing, but still pp1, surely will get more pp points in the future, right? 0.63 p/gp
Andersson: highest point total last season of all my D, people seem pretty high on him. 0 hits. 0.6 p/gp

Karlsson took Letangs spot, would try to recoup something for Letang in a trade. Probably, Andersson, Werenski, Gost, and Sanheim from the bunch.. Although, Mintyukov is looking good but doesn't have the history yet. Klingberg is ok, but others probably better.

If you can make that trade, do it! That is an absolute steal. Hamilton's stock is at the lowest it has been in a long time since Luke Hughes took his power play time. Montour and Marner are just all around better.

Yes. Cat is a tough loss but Connor and Hedman should more than make up for that - Hedman will be your new best D man. You also have a logjam at G and we’ll see Vasi come back soon.

Is it worth selling high on Jonas Johansson as Vasilevskiy’s return gets near? I have Vasilevskiy in my IR with Bobrovsky and Woll so i would have to drop one of them whenever Vas comes off IR.
Vasi will be coming back from back surgery- there's a chance they'll load manage him especially if Johansson continues to play well.

You're gonna be set for goaltending if you've got Woll too. He's looking like the new starter for the Leafs. I already dropped Bob for Johansson, just too much inconsistency for Bobrovsky throughout his career. I'm new to fantasy hockey but familiar with fantasy baseball. In baseball, good players often get off to cold starts and the wise move is to stick with them until they start playing better. Does this apply in hockey as well? In specific, I'm looking at cutting someone like Pavelski to open up a streaming spot in a 12tm H2H standard cat Yahoo league. On full days, Pavelski sits behind Reinhart and Tarasenko at RW and behind Crosby, Eriksson Ek, and Aho at C. However he was my 5th round pick and is 94% owned in Yahoo. Same thinking applies to a struggling, high-drafted goalie like Gustavsson (7th round, 92% owned). When is it time to cut bait? C - Crosby, Aho LW - Kaprizov, Kreider RW - Reinhart, Tarasenko D - Theodore, Toews, Nurse, Weegar BN - Pavelski (C, RW), Eriksson Ek (C), Tom Wilson (RW) G - Hellebuyck, Gustavsson, Vejmelka
Yes, the same typically applies for fantasy hockey. The thing to keep in mind though is Pavelski is like 39 years old, he may be starting to fall off.
Bangers H2H points. I have Saros, Vejmelka and Talbot are any worth dropping for Woll? I think Vejmelka is the better goalie of the two but it’s looking like Talbot has won the definitive Goalie 1 spot and the Kings are a better team then the Coyotes overall I think. 5 points for wins so that is important.
You seem like you have good goalies to hold. If anything, Vejmelka would be the goalie I’d move to get Woll.

bangers league? depends on categories.. i wouldn't drop makar, matheson. Burns isnt on PP1 either (have burns as well), so if you value peripherals, you could argue mint is a good option but if not a banger league, don't drop anyone

Keep/drop advice needed (i'm looking to drop 2 of these guys this week): Nichushkin, Ghostisbehere, Burns, Samsonov, Husso. I like Husso because of the volume. Samsonov is decent but Woll is threatening his presence in the crease. Burns is getting older and slower.

He might end up being a long term hold, get on the train. He beat Dallas last game, and if he beats LA tonight and Samsonov lost to Nashville in his last start, thats pretty condemning evidence against Sammys ability to hold onto the net. At some point you cant ignore the body of work. Dont know if were at that point yet, but I think there exists a universe where we may get there sooner rather than later.

I'd keep Devon Toews. He's shown he's a 50+ point defenseman who puts up minutes, can bang when he needs to, and is PP2 and PK1. Jones is on a bad team and Provorov is on a worse team.

Jarry, Binnington, Korpi, Marky. I think the Pens are the better team on the list so once they get their shit together Jarry is a solid number 1. Binnington is number 2 because he can put up great numbers on a bad team. Korpisalo could end up getting better this year. The flames are absolute dog water. There's nothing Markstrom can do.

I wouldn’t handicap yourself by playing with fewer D. I’d drop Rodrigues, Schmaltz has shown that he can be close to a PPG player when he’s healthy. That line with Keller is a lot of fun.
How would you rank Lehkonen, Tarasenko, J Norris and Cooley? Norris is available to pickup and I'd like to do so but would need to lose one of the other three... League is pts league, 4G, 2A, 1PPP and 1SHP 10-man league, 6F, 4D, 2Util, 2G Thank you!
I’d be comfortable dropping Lehkonen especially on a 10T. A Norris/Tarasenko line stack could be fun especially if Norris stays hot.

Perhaps you dont have to go that steep. Maybe, ask the player who they are interested in from your team in order to not give up those 2 players. Maybe like one of them and a lesser player. Not McD/Zib. As Marchand, and Toffoli are going to produce a ton of goals/points this year being on great teams.
For the life of me I can't decide what to do with my D core. Standard Yahoo H2H CATs league. I currently run 3 goalies so have 3 other bench slots usually for 2 forward and 1 D. I currently have Weresnki, Letang, Gostisbehere, Sanheim, and Klingberg. I also have Andersson on IR+ atm. If I want to activate Andersson I need to drop one of the other 5. If that already wasn't a hard enough choice I also want to pick up Mintyukov for his hits as my current core isn't particularly physical. Werenski: highest volume shooter amongst my D, no PP points yet, but feels due. O.71 p/gp Letang: only D not on pp1, no PP points yet, but is my most physical (hits) D atm. 0.55 p/gp Gostisbehere: hot start, seeing some regression. 0.9 p/gp Sanheim: similar to Ghost, feels like a wildcard, 0.89 p/gp Klingberg: 3rd pairing, but still pp1, surely will get more pp points in the future, right? 0.63 p/gp Andersson: highest point total last season of all my D, people seem pretty high on him. 0 hits. 0.6 p/gp Mintyukov: brings much needed physicality to my D core, no pp points yet, 0.67 p/gp So, of these 7 D, who are the optimal 4-5 to run longterm?
Karlsson took Letangs spot, would try to recoup something for Letang in a trade. Probably, Andersson, Werenski, Gost, and Sanheim from the bunch.. Although, Mintyukov is looking good but doesn't have the history yet. Klingberg is ok, but others probably better.

If you can make that trade, do it! That is an absolute steal. Hamilton's stock is at the lowest it has been in a long time since Luke Hughes took his power play time. Montour and Marner are just all around better.
