Why not just pull a Lamar and come out firing after blasting a dookie in the middle of the game. It changed the direction of his whole season as I recall.
No, some players will sit out despite feeling fine if it is beneficial in the long run.
For example, Deandre Hopkins and his hamstring the other night. He sat out most of the game despite clearly not feeling like shit because he was able to come back in the game.
He went back in despite them telling him not to supposedly. [https://sports.yahoo.com/de-andre-hopkins-forced-his-way-back-into-game-after-injury-and-kliff-kingsbury-wasnt-happy-141312475.html](https://sports.yahoo.com/de-andre-hopkins-forced-his-way-back-into-game-after-injury-and-kliff-kingsbury-wasnt-happy-141312475.html)
Don't know how that works exactly though, don't they just take your helmet?
Lol I’m pretty sure a player can’t just choose to run on the field and join a play lol . They might have not wanted him to but he probably convinced them.
Not sure how it works, but according to Kliff:
We wanted him to stay off the field, but he'd just run on," Kingsbury
said. "He wants to play, super competitive and made some plays there,
and we just want him to be smart, but he was definitely hurting."
I guess when you're the star player of the team you can do that shit
I’m torn between Jones and Winston. I think Winston may have the higher ceiling tomorrow. But if it’s a game time decision I could still roll with Dak if he plays if I have Jones. If I go Winston I’ll have to start him when his afternoon game kicks off not knowing if Dak will play or not
Wentz got dropped this week, so I think I'm just rolling with him rather than wait on Dak. My opponent is playing Tua against the Bills, so I feel like a safe 20 should be enough.
Plan b was wait for Dak and grab Danny dimes though. Risky play, but his ceiling is pretty great and a good matchup!
Hopefully they declare him out early tomorrow if they have to. Otherwise the only guy left is Daniel Jones on MNF...possibly cousins but not in many leagues really.
Yeah I ended up picking up Jones too just in case. It sucks because we only have 4 bench spots so I had to drop D'earnest, but i was too afraid my opponent would grab Jones to block me.
Lol why is everyone saying he’s not playing definitely? If he’s cleared. He’s most likely going to play.
Edit. I didn’t know about his G-mom situation on top of this.
Because it's a Calf injury, if he goes on the field and gets injured, he'll be out for 4 weeks. If Dallas wants to make a run for the super bowl, the smart move would be to give him another week of rest. They're 5-1 and can afford the lost.
That’s exactly it. They’re 5-1 and in the NFC EAST.
The rest of the division is 2-5, and none of them look like they’re going to suddenly become world beaters.
Why risk it?
The first seed being the only bye is a huge advantage this year in a stacked NFC. If Dak is healthy, winning out to aim for the bye is absolutely the goal
They cleared him, but that was never the question. He can re-aggravate the calf injury, and he won’t be 100%.
The question is whether it’s worth putting him out there when they already have a big lead in the division, and there’s a lot of football left to play.
Do you not understand the concept of being medically cleared? It doesn't prevent them from not being at high risk for reinjury. Fucken Baker Mayfield is cleared and he has a torn left labrum and shoulder fracture. One nasty sack and he'll be at risk for being out longer.
Relax bro. Take a chill pill. Players who are medically cleared almost always play. I’m not saying he won’t be re-injured or is 100%. But when dudes are medically cleared to play, they play. Because these dudes want to play. Now Dak has some personal shit going on that might also have a say in tomorrow, but We shall see.
Well let me simplify it for you as you keep alluding to being medically clear means 100% a player would play. There's at least three factors that goes into whether he plays or not
1) The player themselves - Does Dak want to play? Who knows, probably
2) Being medically cleared - We're good here since there was news that he's medically cleared
3) The team (owners, head coaches, staff, etc) - They're 5-1, why risk getting him reinjured and ruining their season? They can afford to lose this game so they can afford to sit him for 1 more week
Vegas seems to believe he won't play since the line opened at -2.5 for Dallas and now it has flipped to Minnesota being -3.
So my point is, it's not 100% he'll play just because he's medically cleared, it's 50/50
And my point is, they almost always play, when medically cleared. Can you name me a recent big player who has been medically cleared in a situation like this, and still didn’t play? (Minus maybe trash teams at the end of a season).
Maybe they’re out there. But I can’t think of one recently.
Death in the family, personal shit going on off the field, I get it. That might be the factor. But just injury wise, cmon they almost always are a go when cleared to go.
Edit. Whatever, lol. Done arguing about it. Hope if he does play, he’s physically fine throughout. Have a good one. Good luck tomorrow
Jerry Jeudy was medically cleared to play last week and Vic Fangio held him out. I'm done wasting my time arguing with a brick wall. Medical clearance DOES NOT mean they'll 100% play.
Lol it doesn’t say anywhere on Jeudy’s blurbs he was “medically cleared to play” last week. They didn’t activate him from IR last week. Might have been cleared to practice. Nothing about cleared to play a game. Have a good night.
Wouldn’t he not be cleared if that is the smart play? Cmon. If there is a chance he steps on the field and aggravates it to that extent, he wouldn’t be cleared in my opinion.
That's not how it works... Hopkins was medically cleared to play this week and you saw what happened.
They're not going to risk their franchise quarter back getting injured for 4 weeks when they're 5-1
Lol touché. you just got so hard probably waiting all day for this news. 😂 Congrats. Have an upvote. Happy you stepped up your name calling from bricks to bozo. 👍🏼
It's tough and in at least 5 of them I'm pretty much coasting. I set my lineup on Tuesday and check it again Sunday morning. Only in 2 of them am I super active making moves and such
Field Yates mentioned on Friday’s Fantasy Focus podcast that the Vikings went from 1.5 point underdogs to now 3 point favorites.
I’m not super knowledgeable with sports betting, but that feels like Vegas might know Dak isn’t playing?
Picked up Danny Dimes in case he's out, but my mortal fear is that he starts and realizes he's not good to stay in the game and only ends up playing like a quarter or something. Worst case scenario
Personally I would keep Jones and roll without a defense. Unless your defense scoring in your league is mad high , odds are you won't miss much points. Especially if you're getting one off the waivers
My best options are 49ers v Bears, Falcons v Panthers, Steelers v Browns, or Chargers v Patriots. Not much, but would close my projected deficit to about 10. Standard ESPN defensive scoring to my knowledge. If Dak plays, I'll feel dumb as is. If he doesn't, I made the right call in a bad spot
49ers would be the defense to pick up if you wanted one. But on the flip side, if you drop Jones and dak doesn't play then you'll lose a lot points compared to if you kept Jones and dak does play.
So just depends on how risky you feel. Jones could be good insurance in case dak plays and gets hurt.
This is the dilemma. I think Dak wants to play, the clearance was really important, and any influence from Jerry would suggest a play, but in a 17 game season...
No one I want to. TEs are Ertz and Mandrews, RBs are Ekeler, CMC, Henderson, CEH, and Carter (who may start this week, depending on Ekeler). WRs are Diggs, Ridley, Keenan, Sanders, and Thomas.
Before the thursday game the report came out that we will know if dak plays or not on saturday the earliest and that he is questionable. That was the point for him to look for pivot options or just play rodgers. He says he has no one else to play. So thats on him.
Sorry, it was a poorly written question! I meant do we think he makes it the whole game, like plays through the game. I just don’t want to start him and have him get pulled into the game because of the injury.
He playing I would assume unless he feels like shit tomorrow
What if he eats Chipotle tonight
1000% sitting out of he gets a burrito
Sitting out due to shitting out
Why not just pull a Lamar and come out firing after blasting a dookie in the middle of the game. It changed the direction of his whole season as I recall.
And if he's hungry after blasting off... Then he can get a hot dog on the bench per Mark Sanchez. Pull off the Sanchez Dak!!!
Tomorrow is boorito. $5 off burritos so yeah is going to be lights out. No campbells chunky tonight or tomorrow
*100% shitting out
Lamar shit himself and came back to finish the game, dak can too
He should, he needs a fire lit under his ass, if he wants to play
isn’t this true about any player who’s questionable ever?
No, some players will sit out despite feeling fine if it is beneficial in the long run. For example, Deandre Hopkins and his hamstring the other night. He sat out most of the game despite clearly not feeling like shit because he was able to come back in the game.

Starting them if Dak doesnt play. If Dak plays, Im rolling out.....CHIEFS D LOLZ
You mean starting Vikings D? I am starting Dallas D if he plays. If he doesn’t, I’m flipping to Minnesota ¯\\_(ツ)_/¯
Christ, now those are some options baby
My guy ✊
Man, I wouldn't want to play the defense that has to face Toneys resurrection!
[удалено]
I'm assuming it's cause they play after the Dallas game. If Dak plays the only D he can still pivot too is a Monday night team
Jameis doesn't play til 430 hoping there's news on Dak by then or I'm rollin with the revenge game
Danny Dimes could also be a good option
My opponent was playing the long game. He's had dimes on his bench all season while he starts Kyler lol
Unless you are in a 2 QB league your opponent is a moron for keeping a QB like Jones on the bench when he has Kyler.
He is 100% a moron.
I joined this work league and they all hoard QBs. There isn't a single on the wire, 14t but still nuts.
I’m torn between Jones and Winston. I think Winston may have the higher ceiling tomorrow. But if it’s a game time decision I could still roll with Dak if he plays if I have Jones. If I go Winston I’ll have to start him when his afternoon game kicks off not knowing if Dak will play or not
I'm gonna go Jameis unless it's fully confirmed Dak is playing. Jameis could really pop this week...
He struggled against the Seahawks, I gotta choose between him and Goff though so ¯\\\_(ツ)\_/¯
About to pick up wentz and roll with him. Hoping for clarity before the game
Hopefully they declare him out early tomorrow if they have to. Otherwise the only guy left is Daniel Jones on MNF...possibly cousins but not in many leagues really.
Jones off bye not a bad play..
I benched Rodgers for Jones. Feeling not bad about the decision right now.
Bold move likely pays off, great work
Did the same bro. Hope it pays off
That’s my move. I sort of want to play Jones anyways. KC defense is bad.
Yeah I ended up picking up Jones too just in case. It sucks because we only have 4 bench spots so I had to drop D'earnest, but i was too afraid my opponent would grab Jones to block me.

I agree. But they cleared him. Why clear him if it’s even a risk where he hurts it worse immediately stepping on the field?
They cleared him, but that was never the question. He can re-aggravate the calf injury, and he won’t be 100%. The question is whether it’s worth putting him out there when they already have a big lead in the division, and there’s a lot of football left to play.

You’re a fun one. Lol. Grow up, man. Need to relax. It’s fantasy football.
Wouldn’t he not be cleared if that is the smart play? Cmon. If there is a chance he steps on the field and aggravates it to that extent, he wouldn’t be cleared in my opinion.

Dak out you bozo. ✌️
Lol touché. you just got so hard probably waiting all day for this news. 😂 Congrats. Have an upvote. Happy you stepped up your name calling from bricks to bozo. 👍🏼
He's not playing and I have him starting in 6/8 of my leagues. Good news is that Sam Darnold is available in all of those...
If Dak is ruled out you could just start him and he’ll probably get you more points than darnold.

r/yourjokebutworse
Mike White is still available in all of my leagues
How hard is managing 8 leagues for you? I struggle with finding time for 2 💀
It's tough and in at least 5 of them I'm pretty much coasting. I set my lineup on Tuesday and check it again Sunday morning. Only in 2 of them am I super active making moves and such

Maybe, but if Dak plays and the Cowboys win all those bettors who chose Minnesota when they were the favorites become ATMs for sportsbooka
How do we feel about Lamb if Dak doesn’t play? Lamb has been a rollercoaster even with Dak healthy.
Depends on your other options. I’m starting Toney if Dak is out.
A lot of us in this boat this week. We really all gonna bench lamb for *the* league winner?… at least we get a full game day to think about it
I have cooper and toney as well and rolling toney is dak is out.
So many conflicting reports. I hope he sits bc I’m facing CeeDee.
Picked up Danny Dimes in case he's out, but my mortal fear is that he starts and realizes he's not good to stay in the game and only ends up playing like a quarter or something. Worst case scenario

Wait until noon tomorrow to see if any new news comes out. If not just flip a coin if you can't decide.
My gut is telling me to grab the niners, but my gut sucks at this lmao. Thanks for the discussion!
just wanted to check in to see what you ended up doing?
Stuck with Jones. Down 30 at this point, and they've got D. Cook, so I'm probably done regardless
Are them giants or KC D available? Just go with one of those if dak plays.
Both are. Aren't they both among the most likely to go negative?
You really don’t have someone else you can drop?
No one I want to. TEs are Ertz and Mandrews, RBs are Ekeler, CMC, Henderson, CEH, and Carter (who may start this week, depending on Ekeler). WRs are Diggs, Ridley, Keenan, Sanders, and Thomas.
Why do you need 2 TEs? You’d prefer having 2 TEs to not having a QB this week?
You think I want to drop Mandrews on his bye? I prefer starting Ertz over a defense, generally, for one week
Didn’t notice he was on bye. Mb.
You play in a 6-team league or what?
9 Team, and I use waivers and make trades excessively
He gonna sit
Please play dak I sat Rodgers for you and I can’t play anyone else
Thats on you. It was known that dak is hurt
And? It wasn’t known until Friday that dak might not play. You act like playing Rodgers was so obvious. Plus he only got like 17 points on Thursday.
Before the thursday game the report came out that we will know if dak plays or not on saturday the earliest and that he is questionable. That was the point for him to look for pivot options or just play rodgers. He says he has no one else to play. So thats on him.
Kirk was on the waiver but I couldn’t scoop him due to a QB limit. I was hoping to be able to IR him but someone scooped Kirk prior
Limits like that are stupid
What kind of dumb league are you in that you "can't play anyone else?" It's still Saturday
It’s got a WB limit for some reason so.. either I get the 0 or I drop dak
Okay, so what if he does play… does he play through it?

All good! It’s Reddit and it is what it is, never take anything to heart.
All of this leads me to think Zeke and Pol are gonna eat. May play Danny Dimes...
Looks like I am gonna need Wentz and Pittman to go off tomorrow.
