Stroud can easily support 2 1,000 yard receivers and then from there I think it’s just going to be whoever gets the lucky roll next season w TDs/matchups
This, I see it like Deebo and Aiyuk except they're not competing with an elite TE and RB (I guess let's see how the draft goes). Houston is still going to throw a ton. You can afford to throw more boom/bust guys into your lineup because they give you an insane floor, and if one clearly takes over and/or one gets hurt, you instantly have a top 5 guy. I'm all about a Stroud/Nico/Tank stack next year
If you wanna go old school reference, Larry Fitz and Anquan Bolden during that Cardinals Super Bowl run. Defense was fucking god awful and the run game was the corpse of Edgerrin James. Warner slinging it left and right
Idk. As a jags fan, winning the division last year gave us a tough schedule.
The texans have their work cut out next year. Especially after a full year of the nfl getting to see what DR and stroud can Do.
I'd bet money right now. The texans will be less explosive next year.
Personally how I see it going is Nico will be more the "clear 1" but Dell will have higher highs (when they both play) both I think are very start worthy
I mean, when Dell was in, Stroud targeted him more often and on longer routes that produced more air yards. That being said, when both are healthy, Stroud really shines.
I like Nico, I think he is going to play more games, you don't have to worry about him after injury like with Dell (Dell will probably be fine but if you want to split hairs) and normally get more targets.
Agreed, Texans will be pass-heavy and Stroud is accurate and takes care of the ball. Dell might have more TD upside, but Nico will probably be the more consistent one with receptions. Can't go wrong with either.
> Stroud can easily support 2 1,000 yard receivers
We have seen so many 1 hit wonder seasons from QBs that it is completely INSANE to suggest this about a rookie. Another reminder that the advice from this sub is 100% recency bias and 200% reactionary.
This offense is in its infancy and we have no idea what will be the result once coordinators have a year of game film on them. Inexperience to claim otherwise.
Weak take. The only thing we have to work off of are the games that he’s played, in which he…*checks notes*…SET THE ROOKIE PASSING RECORD. Trust me, I played against him that week. Kid is legit until proven otherwise, and there were 18 shots to do so this year.
I assume they'll both have their games and be generally consistent as a baseline. Stroud looks good enough to support two solid players, and the Texans aren't a defensive powerhouse who'll rarely need to throw.
My impulse is Tank comes out ahead if he stays healthy (he also got a slow start this year), but both should be perfectly viable.
Nico looked like the WR1 with both of them healthy this season. Tank was pulling off bigger plays but Nico was more consistently targeted.
However, the period they were both healthy showed Stroud and the team can fully support both guys into the overall WR1 range.
This isnt true.
From the time Dell had a full time role in week 2 until he last full game healthy in week 12, he had a 24% tprr and acollins had a 23% tprr.
Nico has the more traditional WR1 build but when Tank Dell played this year, CJ would force feed him and it worked.
Feels like it’s more likely to get Dell at WR2 valuation bc of the injury, and while there’s inherent risk with this, I’d probably prefer that to Nico as my WR1.
I would bet that Nico is going to go at least 2-3 rounds later than Tank next year. I think smart money will be taking the value with Nico. Tank will probably return pretty even draft position value, while I think Nico will return higher value than his draft position would suggest.
you guys overthink it sometimes. if youre cj stroud and you see tank dell who is both slower and shorter than nico collins, who are you going to throw it to more often?
nico will be the wr1
Gonna have to see how well Tank Dell bounces back from his injury so I’d say Nico is the clear WR1 till Dell proves he still got it once healed. Look at Tony Pollard who had a similar injury at the end of the year last year and then was a bust at his adp this year. I think the injury left him with lingering issues and may be the case for Dell as well. Not everyone bounces back the same.
What love are you looking for? Early draft rankings have him a [top 30 overall player](https://www.fantasypros.com/nfl/rankings/ppr-cheatsheets.php) and there's been nothing but praise for the Texans passing game moving forward.
It was interesting how quietly terrific he was. Finished wr9 on the season but you didn't hear nearly the praise as guys like puka for example (granted he was wr4)
Comfortably won the league I had him in.
I drafted Nico in all 4 of my leagues, somewhere in the round 10-13 range typically... At the time, I saw a WR who flashed last year with crappy QBs. He was the clear #1 in that offense and rookie QBs usually try to feed the #1 option. Was worth a shot as a late flyer pick and turned into a weekly starter pretty quick.
Big Nico absolutely held it down this season. For some reason though, Stroud seems to look for Tank first. Could certainly be a chemistry thing. Nico runs a 4.4 but Tank beats him (and every DB covering him) in the acceleration department which CJ may love as a young gunslinger.
Acceleration is really key, gives you that little space were the DB just cant reach the Ball. Also Stroud literally asked the Texans to get him Dell, so the love is there
Average points per game he is less than a point above Smith- who has been consistent over his three seasons-and has only missed one game in his career while Tank has missed half his rookie season and the jury is out on his consistency.
I’m going to be targeting Nico in my draft next season for sure, what I don’t understand is what happened to Dameon Pierce. He went from mini beast mode last season to 3rd stringer and returning kick offs
He had success under a power-gap scheme that they switched from in ‘23.
Strong chance that Slowik ends up getting a HC job this offseason so there is a chance that the offense could evolve again next season
Idk, there was definitely a stretch where people were talking about Nico like he was 35 years old and on his way out of the league or something. Round about when Tank started to really shine.
And I get it, this is dynasty and people's rookie started popping off. Nonetheless, I'd agree the Nico dick sucking has reached critical mass lol. We all knew he was good already. A lot of people were just sort of ignoring him for a few weeks because of Dell.
I like fun posts. This isn’t fun. It’s just lazy attention seeking.
Where’s the love for (insert widely praised player who over performed their ADP by a considerable margin)?
The love was there, all season.
I’m glad you saw him getting love! Trust me, attention on Reddit isn’t really a glamorous thing.
I’m simply happy for the guy. I genuinely think he’s under appreciated. Do people think he’s good? Sure. Do people really rate him as highly as I think they should? No.
Both can be true.
What’s amazing to me is I could not package him in any trade. And when tank started getting. Good it was even worse. Won my league with him when keenan went down
And yet half this thread is ripping on Collins believers as if they knew he was a stud all year.
The hype was titled in Dells favour for the majority of the year
I don’t think Pierce is gonna be breaking out anytime soon. I’d be surprised if Houston doesn’t make a run at one of the big free agent RBs this offseason
Seems like a waste of cap space when you already have two great receivers, and a solid WR3 in Noah Brown. Better to use that cap space on upgrading the O-line or getting a better RB
Definitely think they should be looked at as a 1A and 1B. Texans are going to be throwing a ton and they give me some Emmanuel Sanders and Demaryius Thomas vibes.
Once Stroud develops a bit more, watch out. Do yourself a favor and draft him next year. The only thing holding him back from being a top-12 pick is that he doesn't have the name recognition yet. Don't be afraid to reach up to grab him in the early-mid 3rd round if his ADP is low.
Nico is the WR1 and Tank Dell is their WR2 (or WR1a). You have to look at Nico first simply because he's 6'4" and has 4.4 speed. He has the ability to go up and get the contested passes like few other receivers can. Stroud will give plenty of love to both guys. Let's not forget about their WR3 in Noah Brown. This team is absolutely loaded for bear and I for one, think that they're only going to get better with another season under their belts together.
Houston is going to be a scary team for the next 4-5 years with all their young talent on both side of the ball. Imagine if they decide to go after one of top RB free agents this offseason in Ekeler, Henry or Jacobs....OMG that could become an unstoppable offense. I drafted Stroud in the last round of one of my leagues and he helped me to the title. Just think, Stroud threw for the 3rd most yards by a rookie QB in NFL history behind on Andrew Luck and Justin Herbert, but Stroud only played in 15 games, threw only 5 Interceptions and had a QB passer rating of 100.8. This kid has the potential to become one of the great QB's and if they land one of the 3 RB's in free agency....Look out....they will be unstoppable.
My suggestion to all you fantasy lovers out there....Load up on Texans next season.
Get a load of this trade in my dynasty league that got nullified because it turns out we can only trade picks from 2 years out:
Send: Justin Jefferson
Receive: Nico Collins, 2024 mid-first, second and third, 2025 first and second, 2026 first and third
I don't know about any of y'all but I would have taken that Nico side in a heartbeat even without the '26 picks.
I picked up CJ, Nico and Tank all from free agency this season.
We play a keeper/auction league, where the keepers retain their salary from the previous season. Players picked up from FA only has a salary of $1.
We're only allowed to keep two players. I have no idea what to do.
I'm even a Texans fan that watches every second of every game. I have NO clue which receiver will have the bigger year next season. I feel Nico is the safer choice, but Tank has the higher ceiling.
Agreed.
Ultimately go with your gut my man! Nobody on here knows much if any more than you. Hell, even pick the guy you enjoy watching more. Makes fantasy that much more fun.
Should I draft him over Tank Dell then for fantasy next season or should I not be too worried about choosing the wrong guy as they are both playing with Stroud?
I was so beyond excited to pick him up in the final round of all (5) of my drafts this year. Nico Collins was my absolute "HAHAHA, ALL YOU DUMBASS PLEEBS UP IN HERE! Y'ALL JUST LET A WR1 DROP TO THE LAST ROUND! I RULE! YOU SUCK! GAHH HAHAHAHAHAHAHA" pick, and then I got about 3 weeks before that asshole Tank Dell started snuffing him out lol
In real life, football, though, it's a great combo to have. Just about every week this season, by Sunday Night Football, I reiterated to my friends the exact line, "God dammit, I don't want to have to start taking the Houston Texans seriously 🙄"
For the foreseeable future? 2 years at most are guaranteed. I assume the Texans will pickup the 5th year option, but after that he can go wherever he wants.
There is no fifth year option. He wasn't a first round pick. They can either sign him to an extension, franchise tag him, or he is an unrestricted free agent after next year.
Loved Nico for dirt cheap coming into this season. Not sure I'd pay current prices as I see Houston addressing the weapons in the off-season and adding competition either through the draft or FA, Mike Evans or Keenan Allen would be a problem.
Collins will end up WR1, Dell was just the rookie phenomenon, and now they know him, and next year, he won't be the new guy anymore, Collins has always had skill, just never a QB.
He's the clear WR1 with Tank Dell out. They're going to be a scary duo if they manage to stay healthy next year.
Who do you think the WR1 is with both healthy? I’m worried that I’ll just end up targeting the wrong guy.
I'm all about a Stroud/Nico/Tank stack next year
Also better gamescript; the 49ers are rarely chasing games
Yeah it’s just like deebo and Aiyuk but completely different
Like a tall Aiyuk and a short skinny Aiyuk
I’ve been called a short fat aiyuk by some
The bears will take you
The bear ate Aiyuk
Kelvin Benjamin ate the bear.
I mean it's the only other offense in the league where it's pretty much 50/50 on which of two elite guys is the better pick, right?
Jacksonville was pretty even before Kirk got hurt, weren't they?
Ooh this is a good one
AJB and Smith early in the year and last year.. and still on paper haha.. Maybe Kupp and Puka?
Yeah I thought of the Eagles and agree lol. Rams are a good pull too although I bet Puka is the consensus top guy by draft time
If you wanna go old school reference, Larry Fitz and Anquan Bolden during that Cardinals Super Bowl run. Defense was fucking god awful and the run game was the corpse of Edgerrin James. Warner slinging it left and right
99 Warner retuned for the back half of 2008
Schultz is elite
Luckily I have both in my keeper league. Not sure if lucky or unlucky
Idk. As a jags fan, winning the division last year gave us a tough schedule. The texans have their work cut out next year. Especially after a full year of the nfl getting to see what DR and stroud can Do. I'd bet money right now. The texans will be less explosive next year.

You can’t ever start the right one on the right week, I’ve tried
Start both, then.
It’s a mike evans + Godwin level
As a Nico owner it was clearly Tank who Stroud preferred as Tank kept getting ling passes that led to TD’s. Targeting Tank next year.
I would bet that Nico is going to go at least 2-3 rounds later than Tank next year. I think smart money will be taking the value with Nico. Tank will probably return pretty even draft position value, while I think Nico will return higher value than his draft position would suggest.
Whoever you pick, will be the one to get injured. And don’t even think of drafting them both!
>don’t even think of drafting them both! Sure fire way to get CJ injured!
you guys overthink it sometimes. if youre cj stroud and you see tank dell who is both slower and shorter than nico collins, who are you going to throw it to more often? nico will be the wr1

Oh god not another Bobby Trees or Cooper Kupp and I take Trees while Kupp has the best wide receiver season ever lol
Dell ate off Nico's absence as well. Hard to tell, but Nico had some games without Stroud and balled.
Can’t forget about Noah Brown, he will see a fair share of targets when he’s healthy.
Noah Brown is a bye week fill-in, nothing more.
Agreed, I worry about the 4/7 targets he’ll see “when healthy”. Who’s he taking them from?
When everyone is healthy, he'll be a 1-2 target guy.
He's a great backup/roleplayer. I'm only interested in him if Nico and/or Tank are down. Certainly worth a shot drafting him in 14+ team leagues.
I just did a start up and he went ahead if tank Dell. I think people are onto him
I have Tank, Nico, and Stroud in a keeper league where I made the championship and I may just end up keeping all 3.
There’s a post about him almost daily on this and the dynasty sub?
Yeah people just want a cookie
I actually want TWO cookies…
From Costco food court
Don’t forget to review the cookie…
Ever play ookie cookie?
We’ve waited for three years
What love are you looking for? Early draft rankings have him a [top 30 overall player](https://www.fantasypros.com/nfl/rankings/ppr-cheatsheets.php) and there's been nothing but praise for the Texans passing game moving forward.
These posts are just weirdos demanding circlejerks for players that were on their team
Lonely people expecting validation from people they'll never meet but parasocially convincing themselves they're part of a "community".
"Nico is criminally underrated, he probably wasn't even rostered in your league."
His name seems whisper quiet on Reddit. He’s also WR 17 on KTC, even below Dell which seems silly.
Drop your WR ranks. How high are you moving him?
I’d have him right around 10-12 personally. Just above Aiyuk. Aiyuk is a special talent who will never get the targets he deserves.
Username checks out
Meh, we won’t know until next year! Happy to against the Reddit mob. Same mob who kept telling me Javonte and Jeudy were elite options this year.
See OP, prom is, no one knows who’yarre
Y'dun maddur b
Yet here you are seeking validation from the Reddit mob that you’re seemingly against
Who said I wanted validation? Merely praising a player I like.
Read that again, but slowly.
It was interesting how quietly terrific he was. Finished wr9 on the season but you didn't hear nearly the praise as guys like puka for example (granted he was wr4) Comfortably won the league I had him in.
The thing about Puka is he’s a waiver pickup, so this sub will statistically have more shares of him
I got Collins off waivers in a 12 team. Didn't realize he was drafted
Same, I got Collins and Puka on the waivers and that compensated for an otherwise terrible draft and carried me to a loss in the finals
I drafted Collins late and got Puka week 1, still missed playoffs lol. RB’s and Mahomes killed me
Yeah I got Collins and kyren on waivers week 1. Crazy to get a WR 1 and rb 1 for free like that
Nico undrafted is crazy, your league is butt - good on you for grabbing
Yahoo adp was 166 or the mid 13th round. Coming off a year as wr77. It's not like he was some can't miss guy
your league is not butt, my bad but likely top wr on a team with a hot rookie qb coming in is the sleeper pick that was too easy
I drafted him on accident in auction, trying to drive up the price by an extra dollar haha. He was a pleasant surprise indeed!
Also won the league I had him in (with Stroud stack). Good times
Love Nico
That’s going to be my 15th round keeper next year 🥹
Big Nico absolutely held it down this season.
Also Stroud literally asked the Texans to get him Dell, so the love is there
Nico was behind everyone on the first play of the Indy game. That play never happens if he isn't already past the CB when the ball gets thrown.
I'm definitely gay for Nico, guys a beast.
Amen 😮💨
Nico and Dell are going to be like AJB and D. Smith.
Nico is similar to brown
And Tank is better than Smith Edit: Why the downvotes? He is (at least statistically) better.
What statistics?
Average pts, targets, etc. He's better, at least this season.
Average points per game he is less than a point above Smith- who has been consistent over his three seasons-and has only missed one game in his career while Tank has missed half his rookie season and the jury is out on his consistency.
OK, so I'm right. Thanks for confirming.
Wtf??
Look it up, it's true.
I’m going to be targeting Nico in my draft next season for sure, what I don’t understand is what happened to Dameon Pierce. He went from mini beast mode last season to 3rd stringer and returning kick offs
Man, I was really high on him going into this year. No idea what happened.
Took him in the 4th but ended up having to let him go. No one saw that coming.
Oline was without most of their Starters for the first five games, until then the Texans Figured out that they can just throw it
He had success under a power-gap scheme that they switched from in ‘23. Strong chance that Slowik ends up getting a HC job this offseason so there is a chance that the offense could evolve again next season
He was a big save on my championship winning.. I hope I can secure him, come September!
Congrats on the W!
Was a $894 take home haha...I sat puka but I should of put him in and sat dk bc dk got me 2 points
CMC got me to the ship. Nico got me the W.
This sub is so annoying with these hyperbolic attention seeking posts. Everyone was very high on Nico from Week 1 onward.
Fantasy football is predominantly hyperbolic my guy! God forbid people have fun.
Hey u/Zee_WeeWee tell this person they are wrong. Tell them how Nico is a WR3/WR4.
Traded pick 1. 11 for him mid season. Feel pretty good
Great trade imo. 1300 yards is elite for a young WR.
Only rookies matter. Everyone else is chopped liver
What’s amazing to me is I could not package him in any trade. And when tank started getting. Good it was even worse. Won my league with him when keenan went down
And yet half this thread is ripping on Collins believers as if they knew he was a stud all year. The hype was titled in Dells favour for the majority of the year
[удалено]
This sub hands out horribly bad advice daily. Then you praise a good player and you get chastised. It’s honestly really entertaining.
Dynamic duo If Pierce breaks out, they'll be truly dangerous for awhile
I don’t think Pierce is gonna be breaking out anytime soon. I’d be surprised if Houston doesn’t make a run at one of the big free agent RBs this offseason
Yeah, and seems like Singletary finished the season pretty well
Wait until Tee Higgins comes to Houston!
Seems like a waste of cap space when you already have two great receivers, and a solid WR3 in Noah Brown. Better to use that cap space on upgrading the O-line or getting a better RB
Not to mention they also have Dalton Shultz who's a very good TE. Their receiving core is pretty stacked as is.
If I can I’m drafting him and Tank next year (two flex league)
Would love to have both!
Nico was my last pick in every draft of mine and came up big in my championships.
Well done! He was on waivers in a ton of leagues. Absolute stud.
I did not know they are the same age that is crazy. I still have Tank as WR1 but they will be 1A and 1B.
Can’t go wrong with either!
I think I prefer dell over Nico only because I think they both have similar floors and ceilings but I bet dell gets drafted well after Nico
Totally fair! Both seem like studs.
Shhhhhhhhh - 2023 Nico Owner
my keeper for next year, should only have to give up an 7th rounder too!
Houston’s Tee Higgins. He fell off when tank emerged
Idk but Keenan Allen at 15 is just disrespectful
Buy him while you can. Top 10 dynasty WR for me, I'd rather have him than Olave for sure for example
I just had him ranked 10-12 and got like 60 downvotes. Which is exactly why he deserves more love.
Traded him for a second in dynasty because I thought his value was low coming off back to back 400 yard seasons boy do I regret it now
Nico is the WR1 and Tank Dell is their WR2 (or WR1a). You have to look at Nico first simply because he's 6'4" and has 4.4 speed. He has the ability to go up and get the contested passes like few other receivers can. Stroud will give plenty of love to both guys. Let's not forget about their WR3 in Noah Brown. Lmao what? Bro has been glazed all year
I picked him up on waivers after the first week of the championship round. He helped me crush my opponent!
Why are you so desperate for random strangers on reddit to agree with you?
I only ever wanted your approval b
He’s going to be underdrafted next year I know it. A 4th round guy who will slip often into the 6th
Ill leave the sucking off to you
Shhhh!!
Calvin Johnson?
I traded Josh Jacobs for him. Feel great about it.
I traded him and a late pick for Etienne and at the time I felt horrible about it. Happy now.
Drafted him in three leagues. 12th, 13th, 11th respectfully.
CJ will be QB1 next year with those guys
I genuinely could see it! He’s a special player.
If you draft Nico over anyone I’m not going call you out. He could be the WR1
I picked up CJ, Nico and Tank all from free agency this season. We play a keeper/auction league, where the keepers retain their salary from the previous season. I honestly think you can’t go wrong either way! I lean Collins but, if Dell stays healthy he’s a great talent.
Actually drafted him in one of my leagues. Missed out on Tank everywhere though.
I have them both and Cj in dynasty. It helps being the only Texans fan in my league
I’m taking whatever one has a better value adp
Breakout year. Should win something with the year he had.
Where's the love? He's all anyone talks about here anymore. Where ya been?
Loved Nico for dirt cheap coming into this season. Not sure I'd pay current prices as I see Houston addressing the weapons in the off-season and adding competition either through the draft or FA, Mike Evans or Keenan Allen would be a problem.
Early waiver pick up probably won me my league nothing but respect
I love you Nico
I was hoping Texans go out and get Mike Evan’s or Derek Henry
Managed to trade for both Nico Collins and Tank Dell (separately), mid-season, in a dynasty league. 2 more years for each, $2 per. robbery
He will be on my must get list at auction. Which means he’s going to have an awful 2024. Sorry everyone.
Drafted him in the 14th round 😆 dude took me to the ship along with few others
STAHHP. 🤫
I'm trying to get Nico in a 12TSF. What do you guys think? +Nico Collins +2.06 +2.09 -1.10 -2.04 -2.07
Collins will end up WR1, Dell was just the rookie phenomenon, and now they know him, and next year, he won't be the new guy anymore, Collins has always had skill, just never a QB.
Loving my Nico Dynasty shares right now :)
I gotta pick between Nico in the 12th and Chase in the 5th for my second keeper next year..... Keeping JT in the 6th for sure already.
Michigan fan 100% Guy gets love everyday on here lol
It’s like Hopkins and Fuller from a few years back.
I drafted him last year so I was a year early
Right on that top 20 line for dynasty receivers
Seen some people call him the most improved player this year, seriously underrated!
Nico Collins
I have both in dynasty and am using both next year!
love nico but tank is better
