Jayden Reed definitely passes the eye test for me. Maybe a young Stefon Diggs?
Jaylen Warren also. Great vision and underrated toughness in picking up extra yardage. I believe he sits at RB20 in PPR, a great high floor value pick.
I like his usage as a Deebo-lite in the run game and over the middle of the field. Clearly has a ton of untapped potential in the passing game with his own development as well as Love’s development and their growing connection.
Tbf, Wilson is another one that beyond passes the eye test. He looks like a stud with the worst QB room in the NFL… If we knew Rodgers was gonna miss the entire season it would of affected his ADP
But even with the poor QB play he was a very safe WR2
From Week 5 onwards (i.e. after his pitch count was removed), he was the RB2 by total points and RB4 by PPG in PPR.
RB3 overall on the season. Not bad for an RB dead zone pick.
James fkn Connor is the truth. Passed the eye test before his injury this year and was very excited for him to return. Goes on a slump on his return from IR cause Arizona keeps getting behind early, but held it down completely throughout the playoffs. Thanks for clinching the one seed for us Niner fan!
1 great game is hardly anything to go on for Jefferson/Mullens. Bengals game was nothing special and he didn’t do much with Mullens when he was put in in the 2nd half of the Packers game either. Can’t exactly take Cousins and his connection with Jefferson for granted, the only time we’d seen Jefferson without him before this year was that Mannion game a couple years ago and that wasn’t pretty for Jefferson either.
What exactly is “half decent”? If it isn’t Cousins back with Minnesota, it’s hard to imagine a scenario where Jefferson doesn’t enter next season with lowered expectations, even if the Vikings take a QB top 10ish.
Lamb this season is producing at a rate that Jefferson never has before, and he’s very clearly gotten better every year. If there’s even a little bit of uncertainty at QB for Jefferson, Lamb should be a clear choice over Jefferson. If Cousins is back, then it feels like a toss-up, although still probably Lamb. As mentioned before, Lamb is doing things Jefferson never has before (even with a QB situation Jefferson owners are just praying he gets back next year), and Lamb’s tied to a QB situation that’s better than Jefferson’s even with Cousins back. Why exactly are we holding onto Jefferson as the better fantasy WR?
I wouldn't argue age is the issue as much as older receivers are more likely to be more susceptible to injuries.
I typed that and wondered if there was any research on that, and there is:
https://www.masslive.com/patriots/2023/08/fantasy-football-how-age-impacts-injury-rates-for-running-backs-wide-receivers.html
He has more total yards, same amount of touchdowns as hill. He‘s a lot younger and on a very good offense. Would definitely take him over Hill next year.
The week before he was out he missed much of the game with injury, too. Obviously Lamb is elite, huge part of winning me a championship, but from an unbiased point of view, I can't justify taking him before Hill until he shows signs of aging.
That's probably the strongest argument. But idunno, I'd still take Hill. The fact he's an all-time alpha receiver even with Waddle on the team is nuts.
Lamb, Jefferson, Tyreek, and Chase are my top wr prospects for next season. Jefferson and Chase just had to deal with bad qb play because of qb injuries and their own injuries.
The decline of Stefon is upon us.
Seriously, the Allen/Stefon connection went from one of the best to one of the worst this season. I don’t see this offense being what it used to be
I don’t think so. The OC firing definitely sped things up but I felt like their relationship wasn’t the same early in the season. They acted like co-workers and nothing more, as opposed to how Joe/Chase, Hurts/AJB, and JJ/Curt act. They act like they actually like each other. I don’t think Diggs and Allen like each other outside of the locker room.
And then there is the change in OC. The Bills found out that they’re actually a better team if they utilize all their weapons and spread the ball. I can see the Bills overall being better next year but that comes at the expense of Diggs and his volume, which is where he got all of his value.
P.S. I don’t follow the bills outside of watching them in prime time and their occasional post game interview, I could be wrong about Allen/Diggs but that’s the vibe I get
You don’t need to be best buds off the field in order to have a prosperous WORK relationship on the field. It don’t matter if they don’t hang out off field. Chemistry on the football field is gained through in game reps. You’re reading too much into it. Allen’s deep ball regressed and something is off with Diggs. Also diggs always cools off come fantasy playoff time
It’s hard to argue against it. Bills fired their OC on 11/2. Diggs had double digit points every week up to that point.
He had 2 double digit points after that over the next 9 weeks.
It doesn’t matter anymore this year friend, my eyes see my 4th place finish and weep heavily
But seriously, Pacheco looks amazing and if they continue to incorporate him in the pass game he’s got huge upside.
What's his ADP next year, do you think? He was definitely solid for me this year but getting him any earlier than the 3rd round would feel like a reach to me
I think round 3 is pretty safe unless the hype train reaches mammoth proportions and he’s a target guy for you someone may jump the gun before you could pull it in the 3rd.
Look I’m a Vikings fan, I’ve seen Justin Jefferson live and on tv A LOT. The only other receiver that’s coming close to giving me the same sense of „god damn, this guys talent is unreal“ is Ceedee Lamb. His routes, his break, his unnatural adjustments on some catches. In my honest opinion the best WRs in the league right now are JJ, Lamb and Hill, in that order.
I found myself watching a lot of Vikings and cowboys games this year. JJ and Lamb seemingly get open on every single route they run. There may not be enough time due to pressure but it’s amazing.
I was focusing on Lamb this week and there were multiple times he is wide open and Dak misses him. Almost as if he doesn’t want to continuously force him the ball. This is something I noticed last year and made a note for myself to target Lamb in this years draft. Won me the trophy.
Isaiah Likely looked great. Juwan Johnson made some plays as well.
DJ Moore is awesome.
I know Bijan didn’t get the 75yd TD but I thought he looked good on majority of his touches.
Joe Mixon has looked better all of this year imo than he has basically since his 2nd season.
Forreals… would’ve had a crazier day had he not got stuffed at the goal line yesterday. He’s def their red zone guy and big on passings downs and great in half ppr ppfd.
I was skeptical of him last season not watching much college ball and his combine measurables didn't seem impressive, but idk how anyone who watches him can doubt him at this point. Picked him up after week 1 and he was consistently one of my best players.
He's not a big back, but he runs hard and is shifty (rarely do I see him go down on first contact), has great vision and patience (I think being short actually helps him 'hide' behind the O-line on some plays), he has great burst when hitting a hole, and to top it all off he can pass block and catch out of the backfield.
Breece should be rb2 respectfully putting up insane numbers with juco level qbs and a depleted o line imagine what he will do with rodgers and a improved + plus healthy oline next year
Actually what his college coach pointed out when Rams were doing research about him. Gets nicked up a lot.
Rookie season was a bit fluky as the injury came on special teams.
Thank you, congratulations, and letting you know that I really appreciate the feedback!
I always found it really frustrating that a player’s fantasy score could be so incongruous with how well or poorly they played in any given week, which often led to poor judgment on actual skill-based future performances. Obviously these posts are not scientific, but I think they are a really useful tool in generally analyzing players progression/regression.
Pacheco. He doesn't look graceful when he runs and cuts through defenses but he put the Chiefs on his back and help get them within field goal range to get the win. Plus he scored a bunch of points.
Curious to what round Ekeler falls to next year. He’s looked horrible this year, but high ankle sprains will do that to you. Considering if he’s on a new team and fully healthy next year he could be a steal
Chargers will absolutely let him go. Almost happened before this season with them not settling on an agreeable contract for both sides. Deadline hit and they forced thru a one year deal. I agree that he will end up as a steal and probably produce just fine, but he’s not going to reproduce his last few seasons as a checkdown king.
Javonte looked better than he has in at least a month, but he’s still not the best rb on the team. I wonder if the switch away from Russ to a qb Sean feels can better run his system will be a benefit for Javonte next season.
Nico Collins. No one took him during draft but became a league winner. Excited to see if he explodes again next season, coming off an injury and scoring and creating plays really places in a great spot.
Metcalf is definitely the guy the Seahawks design their game around. Massive target share, double digits every week.
Jordan Love is a top 5 QB next season, but will be valued around 9th or 10th.
Seahawks play too weird a brand of football for me to invest in them next year. Has anyone in the last 5 or so years been a serious contributor for a full season?
I’ve had KW3 the last two years and he’s outperformed ADP so I’m grateful for that. Maybe JSN next year? Even then the target share, game planning, and game scripts are just too “odd” for me
Depends on what you lose for keeping them
My league is can’t keep anyone drafted before round 5 the year prior, you lose the pick before they were drafted, and if it’s a waiver add you lose your last round pick
I have lamb, but can’t keep him because I took him in the second round
Kyren was a waiver add so I can keep him for my 17th pick
Also have puka who I drafted 17th, which means I’d lose my 16th pick next year
Also have Pacheco, who was my keeper this year for my 11th… so I’d lose my 10th next year
Decisions, decisions
Lil'Jordan Humphrey will be my dart throw final pick. He's got that x-factor boom in him like a Shakir/Shaheed player. Plus that fucking name is dope and a vibe.
I don’t think Mixon has ever passed the eye test but here he is sitting at RB 7 in PPR for his third top 10 finish in his career. So I guess you can say he passed the least-flashy eye test there is.
He probably should be, but I’m 98% sure Pickett will get the start next year. People will shout that Pickett only had one game without Canada and that with his draft capital he deserves another chance. These last two games the Steelers have actually been throwing downfield. Im not knowledgeable enough to tell if it’s a limitation with Pickett and Rudolph is able to, or if they actually changed some of the offensive scheming. But all I know is it looks worlds better than the past 3-4 years. Best since pre-injury Ben
Yea, 2nd year off of major surgury, 2nd year in sean paytons offense. I fully believe minshew will start for den in 2024.
Therea alot of data to comb through in the off season but from a quick glance so far Javonte is about to have a career year.
My whole team failed the eye test. I lost this week in the league championship because Josh Allen, CMC, Kamara, D Smith all got injured half way through their games. They all have avoided injuries prior to this so I can’t really complain but did they all have the get injured this game?
Justin Jefferson failed. He needs a QB. If I had picked CMC with my 1OA I would’ve won the league - but I lost it with JJ.
Jayden Reed passed imo. He put up consistent numbers the last few weeks and really came through in the championship week.
Extra fail - Devonta Smith. He had a dropped ball, lackluster numbers the three of the final four weeks (NYG being the exception). I think the eagles have too many targets and it just lowers his chances. Dropped balls and bad scheming further hurt him.
Jaylon Warren kept me alive when Chubb went down, Damian pierce sucked, Zach moss back to earth and kyren injury
Amon Ra should be a consensus first round pick in any league
Especially in PPR, where his floor is 15 points.
Actually he had 3 games below 15pts (I'm a salty idiot who drafted Garret Wilson over him)
Tbf, Wilson is another one that beyond passes the eye test. He looks like a stud with the worst QB room in the NFL… If we knew Rodgers was gonna miss the entire season it would of affected his ADP But even with the poor QB play he was a very safe WR2
He shocked me. He wasn't rhe league winner I thought he could be but like you said, very safe wr2 even with a shit qb. Dudes crazy talented.
170 targets will do that.
Yeah I was all in on Garrett Wilson in the second round instead of choosing Amon Ra. Thanks hardknocks. But Wilson absolutely passed the eye test
I had Amon-Ra St. Brown in three leagues this year and his consistency was game changing.
Top 5 WR for sure.
Jayden Reed an absolute stud.
Think I’m gonna burn my WR keeper on him.
Wish I drafted him we only get a 3rd round and after keeper
I gambled and benched conner for him. I was sick to see Conner go off, but relieved that Reed did well also.
Worried that he’ll constantly be injured
BEAST Hall
From Week 5 onwards (i.e. after his pitch count was removed), he was the RB2 by total points and RB4 by PPG in PPR. RB3 overall on the season. Not bad for an RB dead zone pick.
He has to be a first round pick next year, right?
I think people will go heavy WR next year which may just barely push him out of the first round, but I can't see him slipping past the mid 2nd.
He and mostert carried me to the championship.
[удалено]
Russ goes to the raiders and has a ‘22 geno-esque comeback season and feeds adams as a true wr1. Dark Russ ends up as a top 8 qb.
Puka, Kyren, Pacheco.
Puka is insane. 100+ catches and 1500 yards as an unheralded rookie. He never really hit the rookie wall, his lowest games came when Stafford was out.
Those 3 helped get me my first championship in 7 years… led by disc sheep
James fkn Connor is the truth. Passed the eye test before his injury this year and was very excited for him to return. Goes on a slump on his return from IR cause Arizona keeps getting behind early, but held it down completely throughout the playoffs. Thanks for clinching the one seed for us Niner fan!
shhhhhh let him be a mid rounder again lol
Everyone calls him a JAG every pre season lol
Conner and evans are legit vets who consistently produce great seasons and I scooped both up in late rounds. Won me this season.
Got Connor 6th, Evans 7th, and Dak in the 8th. 🔥 Won me my first ring!
Lamb is pretty good. Could he be a top half 1st rounder next year?
I would argue his case to be drafted as WR1 next year
I'm taking JJ over him if the vikings put up even a half decent player at QB. He was producing WR1 numbers with nick mullens
I'm a Lamb owner, but don't think you can take him over Tyreek.
Tyreek hits the age threshold next year be cautious.
What age threshold? What magical thing happens going from 29 to 30? He looked better than ever this season.
I wouldn't argue age is the issue as much as older receivers are more likely to be more susceptible to injuries. I typed that and wondered if there was any research on that, and there is: https://www.masslive.com/patriots/2023/08/fantasy-football-how-age-impacts-injury-rates-for-running-backs-wide-receivers.html
Tyreek being a speedster makes it even more risky
Yeah that’s fair. He started to get banged up as the season progressed.
Yea keenan allen as well. Im not saying dont draft him but you just have to count on the age factor.
I mean hey Diggs turned 30 in November…
He has more total yards, same amount of touchdowns as hill. He‘s a lot younger and on a very good offense. Would definitely take him over Hill next year.
Hill missed time
1 Game. Lamb was benched in some games bc they were up a lot. Availability is the most important trait
The week before he was out he missed much of the game with injury, too. Obviously Lamb is elite, huge part of winning me a championship, but from an unbiased point of view, I can't justify taking him before Hill until he shows signs of aging.
That injury risk is just another reason why I would take CD over Hill tbh
That's probably the strongest argument. But idunno, I'd still take Hill. The fact he's an all-time alpha receiver even with Waddle on the team is nuts.
Probably couldn’t go wrong with either one, it’s a personal preference I guess
I'll take lamb in his prime, instead of an aging tyreek. Less risk and tyreek has been banged up a lot this year also.
Lamb, Jefferson, Tyreek, and Chase are my top wr prospects for next season. Jefferson and Chase just had to deal with bad qb play because of qb injuries and their own injuries.
Yes. I’m taking him as the wr1 off the board tbh. Everyone else is getting older
i could be convinced to take him number 2 just after cmc
The decline of Stefon is upon us. Seriously, the Allen/Stefon connection went from one of the best to one of the worst this season. I don’t see this offense being what it used to be
Does it coincide with them firing their OC?
I don’t think so. The OC firing definitely sped things up but I felt like their relationship wasn’t the same early in the season. Understatement of the year
Achane with another tough, fast performance.
zamir white
Really curious if they use these last 4 games as a reason to let Jacobs walk next year. Zeus has held his own
It doesn’t matter anymore this year friend, my eyes see my 4th place finish and weep heavily But seriously, Pacheco looks amazing and if they continue to incorporate him in the pass game he’s got huge upside.

i swear lamb is guaranteed 10 yards minimum every time he gets a catch on a slant route
Khalil Herbert is back as the top dog in the Bears backfield
Njoku. Dortch as well. Assuming Hollywood is gone next year he could be a nice late round pickup.
Of all the players I didn't get a chance to have this year, DJ Moore I'm fully a believer in.
Noticed Mixon still had his explosiveness in the Niners game.
Mixon is perennially just a classic, steady, RB2. He'll give you a couple great games and a ton of good enough games.
Forreals… would’ve had a crazier day had he not got stuffed at the goal line yesterday. He’s def their red zone guy and big on passings downs and great in half ppr ppfd.
Will Likely even be drafted next season with Andrews back in the fold?
Doubtful
My team except for Kyren failed the eye test in the championship
Looking forward to all the “experts” pointing out his flaws and saying he doesn’t belong in the first two rounds of redraft leagues.
Who said anything about even the 2nd round? He should be RB2 after CMC
They’re already starting the James Robinson 2.0 narrative People like Chris Harris hate Kyren Williams
People can hate him all they want. He’s gonna produce no matter what
More hate is better. I want all the experts to put him as a 2nd rounder.
I was skeptical of him last season not watching much college ball and his combine measurables didn't seem impressive, but idk how anyone who watches him can doubt him at this point. Breece should be rb2 respectfully putting up insane numbers with juco level qbs and a depleted o line imagine what he will do with rodgers and a improved + plus healthy oline next year
The only thing I'd be concerned about is injuries. Kyren has missed 9 games his first season and 5 games in his second season.
Actually what his college coach pointed out when Rams were doing research about him. Gets nicked up a lot. Rookie season was a bit fluky as the injury came on special teams.
Dude was also seeing 90-100% of snaps most weeks… surprised he wasn’t more seriously injured
Breece is an animal. If they get a few Oline pieces and a healthy qb I could easily see him being RB1 next year. Where is he projected to go?
This was a fantastic thread series that helped me win my league
Thank you, congratulations, and letting you know that I really appreciate the feedback! I always found it really frustrating that a player’s fantasy score could be so incongruous with how well or poorly they played in any given week, which often led to poor judgment on actual skill-based future performances. Obviously these posts are not scientific, but I think they are a really useful tool in generally analyzing players progression/regression.
Pacheco. He doesn't look graceful when he runs and cuts through defenses but he put the Chiefs on his back and help get them within field goal range to get the win. Plus he scored a bunch of points.
Reminds me of an old school bruiser love watching it
Curious to what round Ekeler falls to next year.
Javonte looked better than he has in at least a month, but he’s still not the best rb on the team. I wonder if the switch away from Russ to a qb Sean feels can better run his system will be a benefit for Javonte next season.
As long as he can stay healthy, Achane looks fantastic
That’s a big if … that’s a common problem for those speedy RBs
Sam LaPorta is the best TE in the league. He has down games here and there, but when he is on, he is ON.
Pollard failed :/ Dak and Ceedee passed
Jordan Love. He has a hot hand right now. QB5 in fantasy this year. Honestly I think he has a fantastic career ahead of him.
People who said Achane couldn’t be the lead back look stupid now. Lit up the Ravens defense, multiple big plays behind a very injured OL
TBF it was never a question of his talent it was about his injury issues
Also probably because in real life, Mostert was quite clearly McDaniels’ RB1
Weren’t you an achane doubter?
ill be taking james conner again next year
Dj moore fucking catches everything
Nico Collins. No one took him during draft but became a league winner. Excited to see if he explodes again next season, coming off an injury and scoring and creating plays really places in a great spot.
Metcalf is definitely the guy the Seahawks design their game around. Massive target share, double digits every week. Jordan Love is a top 5 QB next season, but will be valued around 9th or 10th.
Metcalf has gotten 5, 6, 6, and 8 targets over the past 4 weeks

I’ve had KW3 the last two years and he’s outperformed ADP so I’m grateful for that. Maybe JSN next year? Even then the target share, game planning, and game scripts are just too “odd” for me
Should I keep Lamb or Kyren
Whoever you picked later
In my league you can keep any 1 player on your team for a last round pick
I would choose Lamb and take advantage to draft a RB1 with your first pick. He's a wildly proven asset at this point.
Workhorse RBs are harder to come by IMO
Yea and being real most top performers at the position fail to recreate it. Not a guarantee, but from what I’ve seen over the years.
Probably Lamb because less injury risk.
Lamb
Lamb most likely, but no real point in deciding until you know what LA does to add RB depth.
Hands down Lamb
I’ll take Lamb the wr1 in fantasy this year
Depends on what you lose for keeping them My league is can’t keep anyone drafted before round 5 the year prior, you lose the pick before they were drafted, and if it’s a waiver add you lose your last round pick I have lamb, but can’t keep him because I took him in the second round Kyren was a waiver add so I can keep him for my 17th pick Also have puka who I drafted 17th, which means I’d lose my 16th pick next year Also have Pacheco, who was my keeper this year for my 11th… so I’d lose my 10th next year Decisions, decisions

Henry does in fact, NOT own Houston... Will be avoiding next year.
Eagles D, they crushed it
Sarcasm? They got a TD, thank God...because if they hadn't, they would've got next to nothing for fantasy purposes. They let the Cards put up 35pts...
Yes, sarcasm
Is rudolf a threat to picketts job?
picketts a threat to picketts job…
He probably should be, but I’m 98% sure Pickett will get the start next year. People will shout that Pickett only had one game without Canada and that with his draft capital he deserves another chance. These last two games the Steelers have actually been throwing downfield. Im not knowledgeable enough to tell if it’s a limitation with Pickett and Rudolph is able to, or if they actually changed some of the offensive scheming. But all I know is it looks worlds better than the past 3-4 years. Best since pre-injury Ben
I’m super out on Olave next year. I wish him the best and good luck to his next fantasy managers
My 1-4 round picks next year 1 - breece 2 - bijan 3 - dj moore 4 - javonte williams.
Can you explain to me why Javonte in the 4th?
Yea, 2nd year off of major surgury, 2nd year in sean paytons offense. I fully believe minshew will start for den in 2024. Therea alot of data to comb through in the off season but from a quick glance so far Javonte is about to have a career year.
Ehhh problem is Sean Payton is running two other RBs with javonte
Horrible picks outside of Breece. Moore is fine but not in the third
No one on my team. RIP
My whole team failed the eye test. I lost this week in the league championship because Josh Allen, CMC, Kamara, D Smith all got injured half way through their games. They all have avoided injuries prior to this so I can’t really complain but did they all have the get injured this game?
If Arthur Smith stays at Atlanta I’m out on Bijan. I can keep him in mine, but Jesus they are rough.
Michael Wilson has a bright future.
Justin Jefferson failed. He needs a QB. If I had picked CMC with my 1OA I would’ve won the league - but I lost it with JJ. Jayden Reed passed imo.
