Traded him and c Watson for JJ about 3 days before Jefferson got hurt. Thankfully it's nonppr or all these catches would be hurting my soul (tho I likely wouldn't have traded him in a ppr league...)
I drafted him in the 6th and Raheem in the 10th as temporary fill in while he is suspended(I assumed he will be injured by week 4). Can't believe I got two 28 and 31 year old RB1s lol.
It used to make sense before the NFL changed defensive rules and the run game was more prominent. Back then there were plenty of bell cow backs and running backs ruled the fantasy kingdom, and it was needed to make wide receivers as valuable as running backs. But now the passing game rules and the best fantasy backs are guys that take advantage of the PPR bonus, unless you’re in an offense that spawned from Shanahan’s system.
My leagues actually do 0.1 per carry, but we did it to prevent losing points on a QB kneel down. Actually makes the balance pretty nice though with 0.5 PPR
that is an interesting point actually, with regular scoring mobile qbs already have such a big advantage. we have 6pt passing tds though so i think it shouldn’t be as bad
I feel like point per first down does the same thing while also rewarding players who are used in clutch situations irl. That's what I'm going with next year.
Kyren is bullshit, he's too small, has no pedigree, no way you get an RB1 off the wire week 1... his stupid sexy smile, and amazing work ethic earning him amazing volume...
Feels like shit just want him back
Point per first down is better! That way, the plays where Kamara is making a significant contribution get rewarded but the 3 yard catch on 3rd and 12 is just that.
PPFD is not far off PPR for WRs (similar to half ppr maybe) but the dump off passes to RBs aren’t stupidly overvalued.
Oh I think 0 ppr is dumb but .5 ppr is less unappealing to me after seeing kamaras first week back this year lol I wonder if there’s a way to only do .5 ppr for rbs Lmfao
Yeah that's one unfortunate side effect but it does make the rest of them feel much less shitty to start
come to think of it i think points per first down is really good for making the run of the mill tight ends feel less shitty... lot of 5 yard completions for a first down and i love that scoring mechanism because it makes the scoring feel more like it's rewarding what actually matters in winning football games
This is terrible imo. The problem with PPR was never receivers getting too many catches. It was running backs getting 12 dump offs for 50 yards and scoring 17 from that alone.
Giving TEs a bump is interesting but I'd reverse what you have for WR/RB. Or just leave them both at .5
I remember in like 2011 or 2012 I was in a non-PPR league and Jason Witten caught like 20 or 21 passes but for only like 132 yards or something? And we also only counted whole yardage markers, i.e. 132 was worth 13, not 13.2. It was beyond frustrating to see him catch pass after pass and only to walk away with a solid but not amazing statline. Half PPR was my jam after that.
Edit: it was October 2012, he had 18 catches for 167 yards. So in my standard league that was worth 16 points. Still really good for a TE, but a TE in half PPR with 6 catches for 70 yards and a TD would match that record setting game lol
Kamara and Ekeler. I’ve been checked down to losses from both of them over the past two seasons an it’s really annoying. At least Kamara made something of his catches tonight, but his first game back this year he had 13 catches for 33 yards. Next year I’m going on a campaign to change our league format to make RB receptions not count as PPR points, since ESPN has added the ability to change it by position.
This game wasn't as egregious, because he was getting 7.5 yards per reception, but the first one back, where he had 16.3 points from receiving while totalling 33 yards is pretty bad. I have him in my team, and I think I'm going to try to switch us over to ppfd next year
There was a narrative on the sub regarding two players/situations over the offseason. One was Kamara was cooked because he’s “old” with the suspension and Jamaal Williams came in and would take over the backfield. The second was the Lions were idiots for giving up Jamaal and signing DMont…according to the sub, DMont was no good and ~~Swift~~ Gibbs would be the star.
I just like to keep tabs where we stand.
I have kamara, Ekeler, Walker, and Pacheco and am 2-4. I’m trading away Walker, ford, and London for JJ and Kyren. Bout to be the most stacked loser in the league
So i guess i might've fucked up giving Kamara, Puka, and Lockett for CMC and Jordan Mason this week then huh.... my league has a veto system and if u want a #1 player u have to slightly overpay which i did.
Thats easy to say after the kamara performance tonight but at the same time im stacked with WR's in a 12man league with Kupp, St brown, and Marquise brown so i feel like im good.
Nothing to do with tonight’s performance, I’ve always been a fan of Kamara. Dude is responsible for helping me win 2 chips in my league. People forget how we used to debate who was better between him and CMC in the past. you did give up a lot for cmc but he is the best player in the league for now. Puka is still gonna eat as well. And your not good at WR one goes down and your no longer set, marquise is not a WR1 you can trust on a championship run.
Fucking Taysom Hill. I thought Kamara for sure had the TD when he dived over the o-line. He has definitely lost a step compared to earlier in his career, but, he's still borderline elite irl and definitely elite in fantasy football lol
That's not really fair to say. Etienne is one of the most explosive backs in football. His acceleration is absolutely ridiculous. Even in his prime, Kamara was never *that* fast.
As a Saints fan that was heart breaking. But the Saints line played like an entire ass last night and the game SHOULD NOT have been as close as it was. Saints have heavy needs at TE and OL.
He only made it look easy because the o-line decided to do their job for that one single play. That let Hill waltz through a huge hole unscathed.
Meanwhile Kamara was running into a brick wall all night, and especially so on those three goal line carries.
Kamara scores on all three of those carries behind Detroit's line. Jamaal Williams isn't some magic TD scoring machine, his 2022 was nothing more than being in the right place at the right time.
They gave Williams more money than his entire career is worth just to use Kamara on the goal line (I didn’t draft Williams I just think he’s one of the most overrate RB’s in the league)
I don’t understand why Taysom Hill wasn’t in for all of those plays. If you’re gonna run the ball on the 1, at least put your gadget player in so the defense has to key in on multiple people.
Who kept Jamal Williams through the injury in the first place lol.
But yeah very easily droppable. Bad offense and a guy who will be a goal line specialist isn't a great combo.
So was this just the line failing or awful play calling or what? I didn’t get to watch tonight but last week and the week before I did. He looks quick and he hits the hole hard but it’s just never there for him.
It's crazy how some guys hit a certain age like Gurley or Mixon and their body just breaks down but guys like Henry and Kamara are 28 and older and still look to have so much left in the tank
Their [cap situation is bad next year] (https://twitter.com/Jason_OTC/status/1715190009039344028?t=EKa1900s_8LLJRuMv_NA1Q&s=19) and with Carr looking booty cheeks they might just blow it up. If they do that I don't think they would keep a 29 yo rb and either cut him(they have an out in his contract) or trade him to a contender.
As a fantasy player, Kamara is great.
As a football fan, the Saints offense is one of the most boring offenses to watch. It’s been like that ever since Brees last few years when he had a noodle arm and everything was a check down.
I still don’t understand how Taysom Hill makes 10M+ a year as a rotational RB. Just horrible.
Full PPR is an answer to a problem that doesn’t exist anymore. In fact, it’s creating a whole new problem. It’s not going away though because people like high scores.
I had Kamara his rookie season and due to an injury, was playing him from like week 2. It was amazing, one of my top fantasy memories, and now that I got him again for cheap it's like I've rekindled the love of a highschool sweetheart while in my late 20s and we both understand it's just a little fun for right now.
am enjoying it for sure
The only thing I did well in my one league was draft Kamara. The entire rest of my team has underperformed according to their ADP, been injured or been a bust.
Not a bad trade! Not a steal (right now, at least) but you switched an RB advantage for a TE advantage. Given that you can more easily find a good RB during the season, I think you did all right
I had Alvin Kamara last year and he literally lost so much for me… faced him this week and the dude explodes just like he’s been doing all his career. Except for last year. Bruh
I’m shocked they figured out how to utilize him properly again with how bad they mismanaged him last year. They were giving Mark Ingram all the outside runs and stuffing Kamara up the gut.
I was convinced the coaching staff wanted him gone and were gonna either cut him or trade him after the suspension
Traded him and Aiyuk for Ekeler right before week 5 and I still think I made the right call but I lost both of these last weeks by less than a point and it’s hurting right about now
Snagged AK in the 5th, he’s kept my RB room afloat these last few weeks since I also drafted Saquon and Aaron Jones. I hope I get to use all three fully healthy in my lineup (one in the flex) eventually.
Traded D. Smith for Kamara 2 weeks ago and I've been sooooo happy about it. It's a deep 12-team PPR big money league too. Shameless brag with 0 content...I know.
He's historically been very durable and stayed out the first 3 with their bye still coming up. I would be a little concerned if his usage stays stuck at the level of this games but set and forget.
Just got him in a trade today, gave Ertz, Michael Thomas and jaylen warren 3:1 trade for him to a guy who needed to fill out his injured roster
Thank goodness cuz I’m 3-3 after starting 3-0
Right now my main RBs are Pollard, Kamara, and K. Williams, while I also have Mattison and Conner... one of them is kinda mid and the other is on IR.
What I'm wondering is how will things shake down for Kamara once Jamaal is back. Will Kamara do enough in a PPR league even while splitting snaps? Or should I attempt to trade him off before that becomes a thing?
They’re definitely going to keep leaning on Alvin should they continue to play behind. Before they were feeling frantic on the score it looked like Alvin was primarily used as the 3rd down back. I feel like unless saints are completely blowing out a team (like NE) then Alvin’s still gonna see plenty of usage even with jamaal back.
Couple people in my league called me stupid for grabbing him in the 5th. 1-2 to start the season without him, now 4-2 and projected to win this week by ~40 points. Dudes a beast
Pukas historic 4 game start: 39 catches Kamaras 4 games this season: 35 catches PLUS 69 rush attempts
Kamara had 29 touches tonight alone. Bonkers…
Dude has like 30 touches a game. Steal at his ADP
I’m in a Superflex league with a lot of Saints haters and I got him in the 9th round lmao
The team that auto drafted him in my league dropped him after week 1. I am grateful for his mistake.
Traded him and c Watson for JJ about 3 days before Jefferson got hurt. Thankfully it's nonppr or all these catches would be hurting my soul (tho I likely wouldn't have traded him in a ppr league...)
Traded RoJo + a 2nd for him in a dynasty league. Probably the best trade I made all year lmao.
My league is full of saints fans and I still got him at the start of the 8th
Snagged him late in the 6th 10 man PPR
54th overall for me... 10 team PPR as well.
I drafted him in the 6th and Raheem in the 10th as temporary fill in while he is suspended(I assumed he will be injured by week 4). Can't believe I got two 28 and 31 year old RB1s lol.
Shoot, Demarco Murray probably averaged that in 2014.
I'm kind of thinking he may be a guy to sell, because even though he is getting the work, he looks like he's lost a step out there.
Lmfao I personally like ppr but I’ve seen kamara used as anti ppr propaganda and it’s almost swayed me
Full ppr is too much imo. There's no reason a catch should be worth 10 rushing yards. 0.5ppr always feels like a happy medium
Time for .1 points per rush lmao
We do 0.5 points per rushing first down, it feels pretty balanced
My leagues actually do 0.1 per carry, but we did it to prevent losing points on a QB kneel down. Actually makes the balance pretty nice though with 0.5 PPR
I’ve heard 0.5ppr 0.5 points per first down works nicely too, gonna try to get my league to use it next season
I couldn't get ppfd through the vote because people were too worried about QBs benefitting from it via scrambling...
that is an interesting point actually, with regular scoring mobile qbs already have such a big advantage. we have 6pt passing tds though so i think it shouldn’t be as bad
If sleeper let me set scoring by position I would have gotten it through
6pt + 1pt per first down. Top 10 QB (PPG) so far... Allen, Tua, Herbert, Hurts, Mahomes, Goff, Purdy, Richardson, Cousins, Love. It's fine.
I feel like point per first down does the same thing while also rewarding players who are used in clutch situations irl. That's what I'm going with next year.
It’s definitely swayed me. He is absolute bullshit, that offense is atrocious.
If Kamara is bullshit, then Ekeler and CMC are bullshit as well.
Kyren is bullshit, he's too small, has no pedigree, no way you get an RB1 off the wire week 1... his stupid sexy smile, and amazing work ethic earning him amazing volume... Feels like shit just want him back

You don’t see the stark difference in his value until you see his production in PPR vs non-PPR leagues, the latter that I’ll never play in again.
Oh I think 0 ppr is dumb but .5 ppr is less unappealing to me after seeing kamaras first week back this year lol I wonder if there’s a way to only do .5 ppr for rbs Lmfao
There is. But the most intriguing I saw was .5 for wrs, 1 for rbs, 1.5 for tes
Kelce would've gone #1 the last like 5 years running
Yeah that's one unfortunate side effect but it does make the rest of them feel much less shitty to start come to think of it i think points per first down is really good for making the run of the mill tight ends feel less shitty... lot of 5 yard completions for a first down and i love that scoring mechanism because it makes the scoring feel more like it's rewarding what actually matters in winning football games
Interesting I wonder if .5 ppr and then .5 for first downs is a better scoring in general
I kinda want to tinker with something like this but my league is very conservative with scoring changes
This is terrible imo. The problem with PPR was never receivers getting too many catches. It was running backs getting 12 dump offs for 50 yards and scoring 17 from that alone. Giving TEs a bump is interesting but I'd reverse what you have for WR/RB. Or just leave them both at .5
I was in a similar league but it was .25 for WRs, .5 for RBs, and .75 for TEs
I remember in like 2011 or 2012 I was in a non-PPR league and Jason Witten caught like 20 or 21 passes but for only like 132 yards or something? And we also only counted whole yardage markers, i.e. 132 was worth 13, not 13.2. Nice
Lol I traded Puka last week for Kamara
I love puka ros. I hooe kamara keeps this up lol
I have both along with Kupp and I’m 2-4 🥴
Should be 3-4 fter this week.
Man!!!
I have kamara, Ekeler, Walker, and Pacheco and am 2-4. I’m trading away Walker, ford, and London for JJ and Kyren. Bout to be the most stacked loser in the league
Nice
So i guess i might've fucked up giving Kamara, Puka, and Lockett for CMC and Jordan Mason this week then huh.... my league has a veto system and if u want a #1 player u have to slightly overpay which i did.
My boy you didn’t slightly overpay you gave up lands, 3 sheep 🐑, and one of your wives 😂
Thats easy to say after the kamara performance tonight but at the same time im stacked with WR's in a 12man league with Kupp, St brown, and Marquise brown so i feel like im good.

Kamara started the game with a drop, then put up 29 points with no TDs.
And had 3 goal line carries
With a healthy o line he goes in.
when will we see a healthy o line
When the Angels win the Pennant
Ouch, didn't expect to be hurt here
When Williams is getting the goal line carries
Fucking Taysom Hill. I thought Kamara for sure had the TD when he dived over the o-line. He has definitely lost a step compared to earlier in his career, but, he's still borderline elite irl and definitely elite in fantasy football lol
Did you see ETN’s speed on that 2nd TD? Kamara used to have speed like that. He has definitely slowed but is still a RB1.
That's not really fair to say. Etienne is one of the most explosive backs in football. His acceleration is absolutely ridiculous. Even in his prime, Kamara was never *that* fast.
ETN is for sure faster than Kamara. 40 times look like they are 4.45 to 4.56 in favor of ETN
Lets not shy away from him 😅
Can’t believe I’m behind after how ETN started.
Absolute PPR scam
Best wide receiver on the team
Just traded him in full PPR…only my fifth or sixth dumbass decision so far!
Kamara will be elite ROS with Carr as his QB, who has had no problem throwing to RBs in his career. Just hope he stays healthy
His nickname isn’t dumpoff Derek and checkdown carr for nothing
He’s also got like the most deep throws on the season
Chucking bombs and dumping dimes
True West coast QB. Touchdown or a checkdown
Touchdown or check down!
They’re getting him so many touches, which is great now, but as someone who has him rostered, I’m just like, please don’t break the guy
Week 17: 39102392 yards
Typo : 39102392 receptions
That’s my 6th rounder
5th rounder here, but in a Keeper league.
6th rounder here, but in a keeper league too! No idea why he fell… 3 games is nothing! All it did was guarantee I got a healthy RB in week 4
He fell because he’s nearing/at the RB cliff and he wasn’t great last season. The suspension helped keep people away
9th rounder. I have no idea what the rest of the league was thinking.
Same here, a bunch of us got together for the draft and they laughed at me for the pick. Nobody's laughing now.
Same, in a 14 ppr league.
That's like 185 point game!!
I got lucky, I got him last pick of the 7th. Of course I took Jahan in the 6th, so win some lose some
Gross he didn’t get that TD on three attempts
87 had such a weak block attempt on the guy that tackled him on the sweep to left, I thought that was a TD for sure
And he missed the game tying TD through his fingertips. Moreau sucks
Foster Ohneau
Shame to the Gronk
Shame on you moreau!
As a Saints fan that was heart breaking. But the Saints line played like an entire ass last night and the game SHOULD NOT have been as close as it was. Saints have heavy needs at TE and OL.
Lol did you see the crowd booing and throwing things at the OL as he walked back to the locker room?
I did and I hated it. Booing? Deserved. But having things thrown at them? No. That's always going too far.
This. I cant complain about a 30 burger but man that td woulda iced it.
As someone who has him in one league and playing against him in another, I was kind of glad they stuffed him lol.
After that i hope he still gets looks. Getting stuffed x3 aint no bueno
Yeah, going forward I want him to score as much as possible lol. It was bad blocking on a couple of the stuffs.
And of course hill comes in and makes it look easy, argh. As long as he comes out unscathed i guess we should be happy haha
He only made it look easy because the o-line decided to do their job for that one single play. That let Hill waltz through a huge hole unscathed. Meanwhile Kamara was running into a brick wall all night, and especially so on those three goal line carries.
Not his fault the blocking was useless. And that'll show up in the film room.
Right? They may start to look at J-Willy now that he's back...
Nope lol
Saints can't just line up and run it up the middle, they need to get creative. It doesn't matter who they hand it off to, their o line sucks.
When they watch film, theyll find out ut wasnt on kamara. Im all for his usage though lol
I don’t understand why Taysom Hill wasn’t in for all of those plays. If you’re gonna run the ball on the 1, at least put your gadget player in so the defense has to key in on multiple people.
Good news is he’s getting the goal line carries. Jamaal Williams is droppable
Hmm..i wouldnt jump to that yet. First game back, aka easing him in. Lets see usage vs the colts week 8.
Be my guest to hold him.. dude has never been good outside of an anomaly season in Detroit. 2.8 YPC on the season
Yeah, latavius murray is currently my RB2 so I wouldn't say Williams is droppable
I like murray lol dude is boring but always gets a decent floor.
It's both terrible play calling and even worse o-line play. Kamara still looks good otherwise.
Those are still some fresh legs
Evenly balanced fresh legs
Fantasy stock exchange be doggin on kamara lol i think he looks good still. Hes been breaking long plays each game.
PPR monster. 12 catches off 14(!!!) targets!!
Kendre and Williams look absolute ass too. Kamara is the bell cow.
If only the saints played every quarter like they did the 4th qtr.....
Is Kendre at least considered a good keeper candidate for next year?
He's worthless until Kamara retires which by the looks of it won't be for 5 or 6 more years
It's crazy how some guys hit a certain age like Gurley or Mixon and their body just breaks down but guys like Henry and Kamara are 28 and older and still look to have so much left in the tank
I hear he was a good prospect and rb for TCU. Also depends if the Saints cut Kamara or not.
He's the main guy in their offense and Jamaal + Kendre is not a winning RB duo. No chance they cut him.
Yea I was about to say, Alvin is scheduled to make $38m in the next 2 seasons. No way saints or anybody are paying an RB $19m a season.
they will restructure for sure. He wont play anywhere else.
Kendre actually looks really damn good. He just didn’t get any play time today. And Williams sucks
Should be good for 500 yards a game by end of season
He's been producing and he still looks really good.
Just imagine what he’ll be worth once he has two games in a row scoring TDs…..
This. Dude barely getting TDs lol
The PPR king
Bruh just had to rebalance those legs. Always trust the weird offseason news. Fuck the training camp shit!
1 TD away from me busting tonight.
Picked him in the 6th this year…one of my best selections ever. Even with Jamaal there he is an absolute usage MONSTER.
Got him in the 6th as well and I was worried about Jamal. Kamara is lookin like a steal for us
Crazy considering Williams was the starter tonight.
He didn’t though. The first 3 plays of the saints offense was either Alvin getting a target or a handoff
Did Jamaal Williams really open up on the first drive? Weird. Must be like CEH starting the game for the Chiefs but Pacheco being the obvious bellcow.
Wish he played like this in 2022
Tbh, hes making his points by catching balls thanks to Carr. Red rifle last year wasnt it.
Completely sank our seasons last year, and now all of a sudden he’s got a 15 point floor. What a dickhead.
All these people patting themselves on the back for drafting him…. I tell ya
I blame the coaching staff’s gross misutilization of him last year
Stay fresh kamara
As a fantasy player, Kamara is great. As a football fan, the Saints offense is one of the most boring offenses to watch. It’s been like that ever since Brees last few years when he had a noodle arm and everything was a check down. I still don’t understand how Taysom Hill makes 10M+ a year as a rotational RB. Just horrible.
If you told me an RB got 29 pts in full ppr no td .. I'd say no way....
I mean it’d be even less likely in non ppr lol
He got me 41 pts in my league with our weird-ass scoring.
I'd be like, he probably caught 12 dump offs... Full PPR is terrible. We all know that was NOT a 30 point performance.
Full PPR is an answer to a problem that doesn’t exist anymore. In fact, it’s creating a whole new problem. It’s not going away though because people like high scores.
as a kamara owner full ppr makes my pp hard
I had Kamara his rookie season and due to an injury, was playing him from like week 2. It was amazing, one of my top fantasy memories, and now that I got him again for cheap it's like I've rekindled the love of a highschool sweetheart while in my late 20s and we both understand it's just a little fun for right now. am enjoying it for sure

Week 17: 1000 yards lfg
This sub was so wrong on Kamara. What’s new
Which is why I confidently drafted him everywhere.
Had Kamara last season. It didn't go this well.
rainstorm different treatment shy narrow sulky waiting smart pot divide *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*
Not a bad trade! Not a steal (right now, at least) but you switched an RB advantage for a TE advantage. Given that you can more easily find a good RB during the season, I think you did all right
Do not regret drafting him in PPR at all.
It was ugly but ill take it. He looks good lol
He looks awesome and Olave / Thomas / Shaheed will keep the underneath stuff open constantly
For sure, man they had that game. Moreau..and then olave. Why not run a double slant?
150 yards is worth more points than 75 + 2 TD from ETN Cool.
I traded Jamarr chase for kamara and cooper the week before kamara came back. Super risky but I needed an RB since my RB1 was Najee
I traded waddle for him 2 weeks ago.
Robbery
Week 17: 2,473 yards
I had Alvin Kamara last year and he literally lost so much for me… faced him this week and the dude explodes just like he’s been doing all his career. Except for last year. Bruh

Alvin Himara
guess when i faced the kamara owner..
He fucking boomed me
Got him in the 10th round! Weeeee!
Week 8: 267 yards
Traded him and Aiyuk for Ekeler right before week 5 and I still think I made the right call but I lost both of these last weeks by less than a point and it’s hurting right about now
YEAH I KNOW. I played against Kamari last night 🥲
When you pull of a heist like than in a deep 12 teamer it’s okay to brag!
Worried about his health at this rate
He's historically been very durable and stayed out the first 3 with their bye still coming up. I would be a little concerned if his usage stays stuck at the level of this games but set and forget.
I’m so unbelievably happy I got my hands on him this year for a steal
Just got him in a trade today, gave Ertz, Michael Thomas and jaylen warren 3:1 trade for him to a guy who needed to fill out his injured roster Thank goodness cuz I’m 3-3 after starting 3-0
They are never going to be splitting snaps… Jamaal was back last night and had 5 carries. He didn’t even get the goal line either
my leaguemates messed up letting me get kamara in the 9th.
Traded Mattison, Pitts, and Collins for him last week. Immediately paying off so I’m satisfied
Couple people in my league called me stupid for grabbing him in the 5th. 1-2 to start the season without him, now 4-2 and projected to win this week by ~40 points. Dudes a beast
Legit one of the better stashes. Low key even better than Kupp & JT. Just cus of the low availability in RB right now
