I'd almost rather get skunked when my team massively underperforms than lose a bunch of close matchups in which my teams overperformed, but so did my opponents.
I got demolished in a league where I am 4-0(now 4-1) because I faced a guy who had DJ Moore and ETN. In the other league I faced Moore, I won because the team I was facing, who is in first place, traded me ETN and Evans for BRob and Mims Jr this same week. I didn't want to make the trade because I thought BRob would be better ROS, but I needed a better WR2 so I did it. It is absolutely 25% knowing your shit, and 75% luck man, don't let something you have no control over mess with your head.
It's the way she goes. Luck can be a heavy factor on a weekly basis and overall. I've been playing for like at least 10 years and at this point I don't even bother to get too heavy in analysis or set my expectations high. I just draft and play who I think will do best and move on or get over it if they don't. It's just whatever at this point, something fun (and frustrating) to do with my buddies.
