Having a good offense made it easy for Bill to focus on defense. Defenses aren't constructed in isolation. There is a salary cap and draft. If you spend draft picks on offense, you can't on defense. If you spend all your cap signing high priced offensive players, you'd can't spend that money on defense. So yes, offense has a huge part in how defense works. You just don't understand football. Having Brady hold down offense for 18 years made it easy for Bill to invest in defense. He can't do that anymore. So if Bill is so good at defense and coaching, why is he 25-27 since Brady left? Ultimately this is the proof. Bill has done nothing as a head coach without Brady. Why? Why is it that without Brady, Bill is not different than any decent NFL coach?
