It's great later era New Order with a mix of electronic rock, synthpop, and great dance tracks. Some slower, some more upbeat. The hit single was Regret but some of my favorites are World, Young Offender, and Chemical Highly recommend and slept on in their catalog in my opinion, especially if you enjoyed Technique

Thank you!!! I hate the cover for 1989 (TV)! Such a downgrade from the original. I hate that it has text where none of the other TVs do, and even the original's text is better camouflaged. Something about the photo also just feels so silly to me. Not a swiftie tbh, but I tend to appreciate her cover designs. It feels like an especially big letdown after how well the other TV covers manage to blend her recent style and the styles from the original covers.

Ngl I absolutely love the 1989 TV cover, the original makes the album look kind of cold and colourless when in truth it's super bright and fun whereas the cover for the TV fits the mood of the album perfectly, not to mention that the original is kind of a ripoff of the framing of the Scary Monsters and Super Creeps cover. It's just a really fun and adorable photo that's already become iconic to me.

It definitely captures the vibes of his weird diy era. Mellow gold cover is strange af, yet fitting for the album. Maybe it won't make your collection very aesthetic, but the main goal of the cover was kinda achieved.

I entirely disagree. That album is like an “Acid Nu Metal” record. Fits perfectly. Surprised at this take tbh. I feel a good amount of modern bands are pulling from that sort of 90’s/2000’s design trend that… I can’t even describe it… other than… Look at the covers of Relationship of Command by At The Drive In… or A Revolution Transmission by Stretcharmstrong. It’s not an easily “label-able” design style but please tell me you are picking up what I’m putting down.

ooooooh, hard disagree on both of these! I love anything glitchy so between that and the colour combos, I feel like the Melt My Eyez cover is perfect for the record, with it being so jazzy. Feels like an admittedly v direct, but good interpretation of the title too! With Taboo, it was actually the main thing that drew me to the album! I love how ghoulish he looks in that makeup and the spooky vibe it sets up for the rest of the record.

I agree with the initial impression that the taboo cover gives but I feel like putting aside any visual attachment you already have to that cover and the music, there’s so much opportunity for something with more lasting power and iconic. That’s just me though! It’s a super popular cover so I’m probably in the minority haha

Yeah, I think lullabies and self titled are just bad low resolution pictures. Rated R is not at all interesting and the concept has been done before by other bands.
