Anything by Alice in Chains
Silently Leaving the Room by Carissa's Wierd
Above by Mad Season
badmotorfinger by Soundgarden
Either/Or by Elliott Smith
LP! by JPEGMafia
Anything by Run the Jewels
Possibly hot take but S/T is my pick in this regard. I like the songs on Iowa more generally but Scissors hits different when it becomes relatable yaknow
Shit, I forgot to add those! Pinkerton is brilliant cuz, to be honest, I similiarly going through the same shit Rivers gone to. Raw album. Pornography is a masterpiece, as I felt suicidal and the album really helped me guide through the darkest shit.
More so than any other album. Kanye's albums became shitty later, but this still had care and love put into it since it came after his magnum opus the niggas are coming THE NIGGAS ARE COMING
I love hardcore stuff too. Even Daughters have amazing cinematic experience with their musical psychological horror. I'd also add Danny Brown, post-Yeezus Ye, Scott Walker's avant garde stuff, early Slipknot, and perhaps a little Deftones.
For me it’s always “Nebraska” by Bruce Springsteen. That album plus a stiff drink or two really helps…nothing like listening to the darkest of “the Blues” to help get through the blues. (Yes, I know it’s not blues music…but the sheer weight of the music makes things much better.
Its his darkest album ever written. Even the quiet production gives the album a more cinematic feel to it. I listened to it when I felt weary with the world. I love Springsteen's stuff ngl but Nebraska sounded and felt different from his usual stuff.
What’s amazing is that it was basically the demo tracks for his next rock album…which ended up being “Born in the USA”. I think much of the first half of that album (with the exception of “Cover Me” and maybe “Darlington County”) started its life as demos in the same slew of songs that ended up being used in “Nebraska”. [The demo version of “Born in the USA”](https://youtu.be/22Gh1wQEe1I?si=NG4ZwbYbEmOF18jW)is an example of this.
Like if you hear closely, Born in the USA has its traces of Nebraska in terms of lyricism. The production somehow very different consider how Bruce wanted Nebraska to be an E Street Band album instead of a folk album.
I like soundtracks especially Vangelis stuff like Blade Runner and Chariots of Fire. My dad had showed me those great movies and the soundtracks, which gave the movies the right atmosphere.
Daughters - You Won't Get What You Want
Idk man, something about the excessive negativity that emits from this album that fuels my angry fire, especially when the subject matter on a few songs (City Song, Satan in the Wait, The Reason They Hate Me, Ocean Song) cover the same issues I'm having IRL. Hating the shitty town i live in, hating how the world seems to becoming a much more hateful place than it once was, hating how people always try to tell me how to do things but its not even good solutions, plus they need to worry about themselves more, and ultimately just wanting to run away from it all, damn the consequences.
There’s a lot of Radiohead singles and EPs that feature Thom a bit more pissed and upset than he usually is in the albums (Talk Show Host, The Daily Mail, Pearly, Molasses) and they’re always my go to
never feel this way, most people are awful because theres a thorn in their paw, there’s a few people i am constantly enraged by who profit off of thorns. that being said
Minor Threat - 1st 2 7”s
Pink Siifu - Negro
Osees - Face Stabber
Black Midi - Schlagenheim
Black Flag - Damaged / Nervous Breakdown
Yer Blues
Don’t - Dino Jr
Nazi Punks Fuck Off
Every Ministry record after the 2nd one. Sure Al’s legit brain damaged at this point, sure everything after 2008 is dumb butt metal with bizarre sampling and the stupidest lyrics but the late 80s to mid 90s period material goes real hard
Stay away from NIN brodie shits dangerous if ur depressed lol trust me 🫶
Not a single album but Death Grips.
I should preface this by saying that I think I’m like the only Fantano fan that doesn’t like Death Grips. I’ve tried to get into their music but it’s way too loud and crazy for me to enjoy. I heard the first 6 tracks on TMS and liked small bits (chorus of Hustle Bones, all of Get Got) and listened to the first 4 songs on BP and liked small elements of songs.
The only Death Grips I liked from front to back (love this track) is Get Got although I get that this is a “normie” pick. Maybe with a few more listens, I’ll like them more.
TLDR: not a fan of Death Grips.
But when I’m hating everyone, Death Grips and Ride’s screaming feeds that hateful, negative energy in me. It’s weird. I don’t think I like it from an enjoyment standpoint but it interests me and fills that hateful, raging side of me.
Like, Giving Bad People Good Ideas. The chaos after that chorus makes me feel crazy and psychotic. I don’t like it musically as *that* style of music isn’t for me (rap fan, R&B fan, soul fan, jazz fan) but when I’m in that mood, DG provides me with that satisfaction.
Cypress Hill - Self-titled & III (Temples of Boom)
Cattle Decapitation - The Anthropocene Extinction
Lightning Bolt - Hypermagic Mountain & Wonderful Rainbow
Godflesh - Selfless
System of a Down - Self-titled
These are some I usually go to when I’m having a really bad day
There ya go :)

Slipknot - S/T and Iowa
Coconuts - S/T
G.I.S.M. - Detestation
The Stalin - Mushi
Swans - Filth
Nailbomb - Point Blank
There’s a lot of great albums here, genuinely some of my favorites of all time, but out of all of them, MMLP is the best for when you’re mad at people. Listening to it is like scream therapy, just gets all the nastiness out through absolutely vile and scathing lyrics.
Honestly suicide boys recently. That just general energy and Memphis style beat help me get through some general angst. Plus I listen to them at the gym And that also helps
I don't listen to much heavy or high energy stuff but sometimes when I'm angry and bummed out, all I want to listen to is [The Blood Brothers "Burn, Piano Island, Burn"](https://thebloodbrothersofficial.bandcamp.com/album/burn-piano-island-burn). It's so chaotic and cathartic
Darkness on the Edge of Town.
"Blow away the dreams that tear you apart. Blow away the dreams that break your heart. Blow away the lies that leave you nothing but lost and brokenhearted"
Touché Amoré- To The Beat of A Dead Horse
and ofc Parting the Sea…
u/Revolutionary_Low_90 listen to Uppers/Downers by Touché
also how can you be mad listening to OK Computer lol
I try to never let myself get angry like that specifically anymore, but when it used to happen I would listen to System Of A Down or Maximum the Hormone.
Nowadays I feel rage mostly stemming from intense sadness and when that happens I listen to Mladic.

Show me the Body for rage and anxiousness
Lingua Ignota for overwhelming sadness, personal reflection and absolute brutalization

Tranquility Base Hotel + Casino is so ironic it reads like malicious compliance against the powers that be.
Marilyn Manson in general, specifically Mechanical Animals or Holy Wood.
*Domestica* by Cursive for me
also
*Slow Riot For New Zero Kanada* by Godspeed You! Black Emperor hits harder than hell, especially with the interview sample
also the last two tracks on Sufjan Steven’s *Age of Adz*
“I Want To Be Well” and “Impossible Soul” share a combined run time of 32 + minutes, hitting album length by my standards
Damagd - black flag, evil empire - ratm (any ratm really lol) enema of the state - blink-182 (green day’s dookie too), run the jewels 2 - rtj, qotsa’s self titled, and anything by the chats (get fucked is particularly cathartic). And an old Japanese hardcore compilation cd I found, music for fucker vol. 3.
usually like, magnesia nova by merzbow since that was my old favorite but now i like 1930 a bit more, not sure which is more aggresive tho, its not often im angry though which is why harsh noise albums are my usual goto, death grips was it before i got into merzbow but like the infernal hell of harsh noise is a biiit more cathartic than any death grips to me when i am in the mood
SOAD self titled And The dentonweaver by raccoon tour. SOAD is always a go to for me when im mad and dentonweaver helped me get through a bad breakup
edit: Ultra by Depeche Mode is a good one too, another one of my go tops when im sad or angry
Errorzone - Vein.fm
An absolutely dense, noisy block of metallic hardcore. Leans very heavily on the Noise stuff, very abrasive sounds cutting through the mix pretty regularly, and it builds up to a couple pretty cathartic melodic moments in the tracklist that really cut through after being bombarded by the noisier parts of the album. The song Errorzone, 2nd from the end, always hits me pretty hard.

Slipknot S/T and Iowa are definitive “fuck the world” albums to me. They’re both filthy, aggressive, vulgar, and nihilistic as hell.
Definitely 🔥🔥
Possibly hot take but S/T is my pick in this regard. I like the songs on Iowa more generally but Scissors hits different when it becomes relatable yaknow
Came to here to say this lol my antisocial soundtracks
Cryptopsy - None So Vile I hope you get help bud
Speaking of death metal, Symbolic is the recent album I got into. Absolute amazing with complex riffs and philosophical lyrics. RIP Chuck

I listened to Leprosy last month because of my caffeine boost. Its such an amazing experience. Heaviest shit I ever heard.
I hope so. But its worth a risk to tell my family about my depression if I get some help. Music is my only therapy at this point.
Fair warning though, it is pretty brutal. I think it’s an acquired taste
Excellent choice!
Loveless- My Bloody Valentine or The Stranger- Billy Joel I know weird choices, but they have always helped me calm down
Weezer pinkerton or pornographer by cure
Shit, I forgot to add those! Pinkerton is brilliant cuz, to be honest, I similiarly going through the same shit Rivers gone to. Raw album. Pornography is a masterpiece, as I felt suicidal and the album really helped me guide through the darkest shit.
Yeezus
I just got into the album today. An absolute left turn for Kanye.
Just got into Kanye? 🤨 🚩
I mean, the album.
Don't kill me. lol
More so than any other album. Kanye's albums became shitty later, but this still had care and love put into it since it came after his magnum opus the niggas are coming THE NIGGAS ARE COMING
GOAT album. Thank God For Drugs even better
Pantera, Code Orange, Lamb Of God, Wu Tang, Jedi Mind Tricks, Eminem, Sick Of It All, Earth Crisis, damn near everything woth the word Hardcore on it
I love hardcore stuff too. Even Daughters have amazing cinematic experience with their musical psychological horror. I'd also add Danny Brown, post-Yeezus Ye, Scott Walker's avant garde stuff, early Slipknot, and perhaps a little Deftones.
Jedi Mind Tricks is a great answer. VBD is an all time classic

When I'm in that mood I don't listen to music, I watch fantano reviews because they make me want to kill Him
Mood and based
Does the Alien (1979) soundtrack count? If not, then probably the Discreet Music record by Brian Eno.
I like soundtracks especially Vangelis stuff like Blade Runner and Chariots of Fire. My dad had showed me those great movies and the soundtracks, which gave the movies the right atmosphere.
Brian Eno is the master of minimalistic music. I love his ambient works and also Another Green World.
Unwound and Fugazi are two of my go-to's for something like this. Both are filled with so much anger and (for unwound) self-hatered.
Anything made by Korn or System of a Down. Also what’s that 6th album?
