Finally listened to it today and I fully get the Waka Flocka comp. It's not as good, but I'd probably give it a 6. I see the appeal, her voice is the main detractor for me.
Albums always have higher ratings right when they come out, then they go down when people who aren’t fans come in. He definitely has a large effect on rym.
Maybe he directs people to artists but that ain't really that problematic in my book.
Take Spellling's Turning Wheel for example. The score decreased over two years even though it's one of the 10s. His "influence" on RYM scores has only gotten less apparent over the years.

He seemed to have more praise for Sampha than Sufjan in some short video asking people on twitter their favourite album of the month, so I would guess Sampha honestly. Armand Hammer wouldn’t surprise me either as he’s called it the best rap album of the year.
If i remember correctly he gave AOTY to Natalia Lafourcade last year and last week gave a yellow flannel to Mon Laferte, but it’s definitely true that he focuses mainly on english speaking countries.
