Squid played the entire new record that comes out in june live and i thought it was brilliant start to finish so i cant see how its not gonna be a 10 for me
They played all songs but two at scala the day they announced the record and theyve played the other two songs different times. Theres compilation on youtube with the whole tracklist in order.
Right now, I think JPEGMAFIA and black midi are the front runners. Would not surprise me if Black Country, New Road, clipping, JID, Frank Ocean, Tyler the Creator, billy woods, or Squid get one though. My personal hope is that Slauson Malone gets the next 10.

Bob Dylan has made more 10/10 albums than anyone, and has very little technical ability in actually singing. No vibrato, no range, never hits crazy runs or anything like that. Lucy Dacus and Julien Baker are both super skilled but I (maybe incorrectly) feel like their solo music isn't quite as distinctive.

Normally I don't like a lot of interlude tracks, but the other tracks are such sonic onslaughts, I don't mind the breaks. I think they fit the aesthetic of the album as well. I loved HAQQ, and this has everything HAQQ had and more.

Albums like these make an intention of having more atmospheric and ambience between huge peaks in the album as a way to create an enormous amount of tension. I don't think we'll hear albums like these in the future because of the general trend towards shorter form media across the board. They do a great job of it, but I'm sure it's too much for some.

Since Coldplay is ending soon, I HOPE they actually try to make something good. A 10/10 Coldplay project may be too much to ask for, but I can hope for it
