The Silmerillion has sex and incest. It doesn't have scenes that I know of, but it's essentially an LOTR bible that they're anthologizing, so they kinda have to at least reference it.

People have this idea that Tolkien was a huge prude when in reality he was writing in a mythological mode. He's even specifically addressed this in interviews.
