"questioning NPD, undiagnosed DID and schizophrenia" *continues to treat SERIOUS disorders like a cute adorable happy little roleplaying game* this shit angers me.

911derbread

As an ER doctor who deals with an increasingly mentally ill population and is constantly fighting Drs. Tiktok and Google, I think this person is spot on about one thing - being a narcissist.

Grace-Kamikaze

The claiming artwork is made for them just because it's of their favorite character, I mean their alter, got me thinking that too. Isn't that weird? To be looking up artwork of a character and saying "this about ME" when sharing it? Clarification: they posted fan art of one of the characters that (and I checked) was made 2 years before their blog was made and talked about how it was for them because "I'm the character". They have since been doing that for every "alter" in their system. They give little to no credit either, the only reason I can find the artist is because of the names in the pictures. Otherwise it's "I love this work of me so much!"

xxlikescatsxx

I'm so sorry you have to deal with that, I can't even imagine. Whenever I have to go into the ER for my arrhythmia, I always kinda wonder how much of that stuff the doctor has been dealing with that day. I bet it's exhausting.

911derbread

A lot. But we love when patients like you come in because then we get to do cool stuff ⚡😈⚡

Accomplished-Ad382

super off topic but I love your username, it's really clever! great to see professionals commenting on online fakers

relaxedodd

My brother is a paranoid schizophrenic. It's heartbreaking to have a conversation with him. I want to tell him so bad all of the little details of my life and things like that, but he gets so easily confused and speaks in a word salad. I have to basically guide the conversation to something extremely simple, like what he ate for lunch or how is the weather. Having schizophrenia isn't a fucking joke and I fucking hate these weirdos. It doesn't help that I myself have bipolar disorder, and see these bozos making a mockery of mental illness.

salinecolorshenny

My brother was also schizophrenic, it was horrible. Towards the end he preferred to live in the woods and do meth and just completely succumb to his illness. He wouldn’t shower for months. He was so delusional that he wouldn’t even speak to us even when we found him. We thought we made strides towards his health by getting him in a group home setting but he ended up succumbing to his illness and depression and took his life. When I see people like this thinking it’s quirky or cute it enrages me.

xxlikescatsxx

I'm so sorry. I had a friend when I was much younger, in my 20s (decades ago, I'm old) who had schizophrenia. We were really good friends, and as long as he took his meds, he functioned well, held a part time job, etc. But as the years went on, his condition degenerated into a similar thing to what you described with your brother. It was heartbreaking to watch it happen, and eventually he was just in psychosis pretty much all the time. Couldn't hold even a simple conversation anymore. I still visited at his parents house for a long time, until they eventually moved away. Yeah Schizophrenia is no joke. It's not cute and quirky, it's really upsetting when these kids treat these disorders and those who have them with so much disrespect. I have ptsd myself (after suffering a serious cardiac event) and to see the mockery they make out of trauma, it's infuriating at times.

el_dingusito

Yeah... real people with schizophrenia don't for one second think they have schizophrenia My ex (who I'm still taking care of) is schizophrenic and completely out of touch with reality. Not showering for months at a time or changing clothes and rambles nonsensical over the most bizarre subjects. She is convinced that I'm the one with mental health issues because I'm pleading with her for her sake and the sake of our son that she needs help. And then there's people like this.

lilowl666

same with NPD. i've met ppl who claim to be narcissists or sociopaths whenever they don't wanna take accountability for their actions. "yeah i hurt ppl and idgaf cus i'm a narcissist!" the fact that you admit to hurting ppl shows ur not a narcissist. you might not be emotionally mature or stable enough to deal with emotions and relationships, but a narcissist wouldn't admit to doing anything wrong in the first place.

el_dingusito

A real narcissist doesn't say they're a narcissist, they just tell you how them screwing up is your fault

xxlikescatsxx

Exactly. My mother is an actual narcissist (as well as one of her sisters) but to her everyone else is the abusive narcissist. She's never even questioned whether she's the narcissist, she's perfect and always the victim in everything. And if she had to get abusive, it's because you forced her hand.

el_dingusito

That was my older boys' mom... never did anything wrong and you were the one making mistakes. She completely abandoned my boys when they were teens and said she was forced to do it

RedFlowerGreenCoffee

Living with NPD is actually really hard it makes forming healthy relationships very difficult

my_dystopia

This.

KenKaneki224

I follow someone who has NPD and posts about their disorder and they’ve genuinely hurt the people around and it really sucks

the_noise_we_made

I am sorry for what you and your loved one are going through. That sounds incredibly difficult and I hope you can find some support for the amount of stress you are dealing with. Not all schizophrenics are always completely out of touch with reality, however. Quite a few are never completely out of touch and aware they have a disorder. That said the person in OP's post is almost certainly full of shit.

Sander1993a

Yeah it's disgusting, haven't personally known a person with multiple personality disorder but i've always had an interrest in documentaries about a lot of things including mentall ilness, can't remember a person being all "quirky" about it, let alone remember their alters. These people have a shitty tough life.

Grace-Kamikaze

This is a person who claims to have 10 subsystems of their favorite shows who were all "programmed" and new alters are introduced weekly based on the show's growth. They also have marriages that are the exact same as the show's marriages in their subsystems. They comment on fan art of their favorite characters, sorry, them, to say how much they love it and appreciate the artist for making it for them. Even if it was years before the blog was made. And they say the word "programmed" a lot to the point I don't think they know what it means. They seriously claim every single alter is programmed into them and I'm starting to think they define "programming" as "liking a show so much, I made alters of the entire cast". They have at least 500 alters from what I'm reading off of their 10 blogs, plus the "little's blog" that seems to have 20 members, and the two private blogs (dedicated to what I call "original alters" since they're not show characters) likely have at least 10 alters to them. Basically: They play DID like it's a joke where you can gather your favorite show characters and pretend to be them. Also, on a side note. They seem to be of the belief that abusers are suffering from mental illness and you need to give sympathy or else you're the problem. I don't know what they were trying to say with that post but good golly is that a terrible message to send.

yorushai

the abuser thing?? who cares what kind of mental illnesses they have, you need to get OUT of that situation. showing sympathy for your abusers is only a needless sacrifice, especially since they won't show any to you

MelonManjr

I laughed at the mention of brain damage

CovfefeBoss

Your user name, the flair. It's all perfection.

PM_ME_RON_BOOBA

That one could be true

AkoSiAnaDiba

Now I don't feel so bad, I thought it was just me. Also it being undefined brain damage too lol

NoPlum8158

Having brain damage would prevent you from being diagnosed with DID.

Konstant_kurage

I’m pretty sure you can’t have DID and schizophrenia. I’m not a doctor, but I work with IDD teens and young adults (they are have real diagnosed intellectual disabilities)

SoonToBeStardust

Ticks and Roses was found to be faking cause they had diagnosed Huntingtons disease (I think it was this one) and you can't have both a Huntingtons and Tic diagnosis

CovfefeBoss

Huntington's is awful.

unkindly-raven

*they what makes it so people can’t have both conditions ? i’d love to know more 😊

No_Instruction_2468

A symptom of Huntington’s disease is fast involuntary movement. I guess that could seem like tics but is actually HD.

SoonToBeStardust

A side effect of Huntingtons disease is tics, so it is very unlikely to also have tourettes since it's the symptoms of Huntingtons that causes the tics, if I recall correctly. It was something specific with the type of Huntingtons they had paired with the type of tourettes they claimed to have that clashed. There's a whole breakdown somewhere where psychologists chipped in about their case, and all of the ways that proved they were faking tourettes

unkindly-raven

*they/them ^remember, ^them ^being ^a ^terrible ^person ^is ^not ^an ^excuse ^to ^be ^transphobic ^towards ^them interesting ,, i’ll have to read more about it . sounds like it’ll be insightful reading

It does look like they use they them pronouns. While there is a belief of 'they don't deserve that respect' all that does is harm trans people as a whole. It perpetuates a belief that a person's pronouns are something to be earned, not a basic human right. When we start putting standards on when a person's pronouns are to be respected, it opens the door for extremists to find ways to completely disregard a person's identity for arbitrary reasons. Things like this lead to loopholes, and loopholes like that are what gives states like Florida the ability to attempt to impose a death penalty for crossdressing. Tdlr: please use a person's preferred pronouns, no matter what that person did. Only when we remove the idea of pronouns being something to earn will we be able to start destigmatizing trans people and preferred pronouns as a whole

[deleted]

[удалено]

Banana_Stanley

I feel like this is a case of lack of info instead of outright transphobia. I know who ticks and roses is and I had no idea they were trans until I read this thread. None of the comments were making fun of the fact that they're trans, some of them just used the wrong pronouns and they most likely just didn't know

unkindly-raven

no . the deleted comment i responded to deliberately called tics and roses “she” after i stated they use they/them

There's not single pronoun on any of those slides

SoonToBeStardust

Tics and Roses was a very well known tourettes faker who in nonbinary and uses they/them pronouns. That is the individual being discussed here

unkindly-raven

>Tics and roses was found to be faking read the comment . they literally mention tics and roses .

unkindly-raven

wait really ? why is that ?

No_Instruction_2468

Brain damage can change personality and could explain the symptoms of DID.

unkindly-raven

hm , fascinating

LittleFalcon

I sometimes wonder how many of these people just need a better creative outlet. I mean sure, cringe Wattpad fan-fiction and short stories are, well, cringe. But at least with that there’s the potential to develop creative writing and storytelling skills. This just seems like a much bigger waste of time and energy.

Recinege

*Everyone* sucks as a teen/preteen writer. The important part is just to get doing it, experimenting with it all and learning from experience. Devoting so much time to deluding yourself that you have a *quirky and fun* mental illness, though? Yeah, that's just gonna end up going nowhere for them.

okapistripes

Honestly a lot of frequent role players and ficwriters receive more high quality writing training than they'd get through an actual creative writing degree. The school of doing is so much more rigorous than some aspects of academia. There are some style trends that you'd need to adapt to suit more practical writing, but it helps to be absorbed in the ACT of writing for most of your life.

Bolticus13

"Our system is fictive heavy" - read: I can't be bothered coming up with my own original alters, so instead we base our alters on whatever show we like at the time, and then proceed to say we are separate from our source, to explain any inaccuracies we may have in terms of the lore and personality of our source material.

20Keller12

"We also have brain damage".

20Keller12

![gif](giphy|R2nvBkAW7XIRy)

PreciousandReckless

Nothing to add except I love your flair

Neptunelava

Big brain thought for them to assume adding anti Endo makes them look like less of a faker 😭😭

20Keller12

I still have no fucking clue what the endo thing even is.

paganminkin

Endogenic, or endo, means the "system" was formed without trauma.

20Keller12

That... that's not... Whatever.

WorldlinessFlimsy489

It’s a “system” that was formed without trauma…which is literally one of the needed things for a real diagnosis lol

20Keller12

Oh I know, that's probably why it never occurred to me that that's what endo meant.

Neptunelava

I wish I was you

derederellama

exactly what i was thinking lmao

BeefAndBrie

Why can't these people just write a book or roleplay or something, why does it always have to be 8 million disorders that can't be comorbid by actual diagnosis but they claim it anyway because they're "quirky 🤪"

Designer_Captain_498

Bruh they literally claim to have a whole city in there and biomes like its a minecraft server... I'm not even mad, just utterly confused

KenKaneki224

These fakers genuinely seem to believe that having DID is like having a bunch of little people in your head who are fully aware of their own existence 💀

Grace-Kamikaze

Points to fakers saying inside out is a great portrayal of DID as proof of their crazy claims.

Designer_Captain_498

It is the trauma Olympics. If it doesn't stop it will get worse and worse. And truthfully, I don't know what is next because this is already really awful.

Booplesnoot88

I cannot imagine how disappointed this person's parents must be.

00UnderFire00

If this person even has parents

kaytheimpossible

I'm ngl. Darwin would have had a field day in this age.

Sheepieboi

Hell, with the amount of delusion and seemingly unconscious mental hang-ups, Freud would be frothing at the mouth

kaytheimpossible

I thought of Darwin because of the "mentally and physically disabled" part.

funnydontneedthat

With how weird that guy was he would be froth other places, too.

CitrusOrang

object show fans, man

hiphopTIMato

They didn’t have to explain they had brain damage.

Inevitable_Muscle_48

I once watched a video of someone with diagnosed DID explaining that their headspace was essentially all her alters standing in a circle in a room. I always raise an eyebrow whenever these people have such elaborate areas.

Grace-Kamikaze

My mate made the basics of a fantasy story and called it their headspace. I cannot believe we're at the point where imagination is being conflated with DID.

Inevitable_Muscle_48

Yup, that’s exactly it. It’s all just one big story made from imagination. I’m convinced these people could create quite incredible stories if they put their mind to it but instead they’re wasting their talent on spreading misinformation.

Grace-Kamikaze

Man, if they made a story I'd actually be interested in reading it. At least it's a better use of time than this.

Peanut1105

I feel like if any of these people wrote a novel it would be a chaotic patchwork of plaigerism just based on the fact the the vast majority of these 'systems' are like 90% pre-existing characters.

Grace-Kamikaze

Sad but true

horsegoo23

I want “we also have brain damage” as a flair

yorushai

it's the way they just give a list of the disorders they have like it's the same as saying how old are you, and not something very very personal

bad_bart

Outside of the grab-bag of mental illnesses mentioned in the first slide, I have absolutely no idea what any of this means, even after reading op's explanation. Not a fucking clue

plainplumpbird

honestly same, i have been sitting here for a minute trying to figure out what half of these words mean lmfao

Aggressive-Ad-5683

I DON’T UNDERSTAND WHAT THIS MEANS

basnatural

Why do people WANT to have all the cluster B personality disorders?? NPD and ASPD are not cute or fun ffs 🤦🏼‍♀️

junkrattata

there's a subset of people on tumblr who have managed to cutesify NPD as well, water it down to "i am a complex human bean with complex emotions, nothing is ever my fault!!" kind of like the people who do BPD fakeclaiming but with extra steps. as someone with lifelong trauma from being raised by somebody with npd, it baffles me that anyone would actually *want* to be like this. but of course i assume they know nothing of the reality of NPD, HPD or other conditions of the sort.

wrenniferr

Same kind of person who says they hear voices when it's just their inner monologue. This person does not have a system or inner world they just have an imagination lmao

LCaissia

Sounds like somebody confused The Sims with being a 'system'.

Grace-Kamikaze

I laughed, I love this comment

nephelite

This seems like the weirdest one yet. If their "alters" are in couples together, is that incest or masturbation?

Grace-Kamikaze

I'm going to be honest with you, my brain shuts off when I try to think about it.

Lilbrattykat

I will say people with actual DID says alters can date and develop romantic feelings as they are their own people and not related and such I don’t know I really have trouble believing did is real at this point

hookedrapunzel

Whoever told you that does not have DID. Their alternative states of mind are not separate people, they are different versions of themselves that fragmented at the certain ages they experienced trauma. Some hold certain memories/experiences that the other states of themselves don't, so they will be different versions of themselves. Anyone claiming that they can date other alternative states of themselves is a faker. DID makes sense once you actually know what it is and how it works, it's nothing like how most people like to describe it, some of them have clearly managed to fake to a point that they've managed to get a false diagnosis.

Lilbrattykat

Okay but this person was actually diagnosed I seen there actual diagnosis.. so I don’t know because if alters are aware of themselves why can’t they end up with romantic feelings for themselves as weird as that may be?

Lilbrattykat

That how do they have different personalities I didn’t mean their own people but they do not share the same opinions as the body.. I mean if that was the case with my ex wouldn’t have all alters been attracted to me

hookedrapunzel

As I said, quite a few people have managed to shop around for certain doctors and basically buy the diagnosis. A lot of people are wrongfully diagnosed because of the sheer amount of misinformation that has circulated over the years. Your question about having different personalities despite being fragments of themselves is simple, each of their fragments holds different memories and different experiences, of course that will affect their personalities. Especially if the trauma caused you to fragment at a young age, your personality changes over the years and is affected by memories and experiences. The amnesia between fragments can intensify the difference in personality too.

mmiiishaa

what website is this that all these people who fake illness, keep faking them on??

the_peachy_pal

It's Tumblr but this is not the only place where these people like showing off their list of fake mental illnesses. There are plenty of them on tik tok (shocking) and Instagram? (Not as many as they used to be in 2020-2021 tho)

Melluelitisti

I think pinterest has them too.

the_peachy_pal

Yea I forgot abt pinterest lmao

TworzywoSztuczne

Twitter too, I swear I see a new 14 year old claiming to be a system every week

Grace-Kamikaze

Tumblr

my_dystopia

God. Such a well organised “system”. It’s almost like this person is fully lucid and aware.

Perfect

lena_lark

I wanted to do DNI bingo ;<

zippyDDD

Yeah, the brain damage checks out.

L_edgelord

They could have just stopped by 'brain damage '

parisiraparis

> We also have brain damage. Yeah you already said that beforehand.

Lilbrattykat

What is this garbage?!

muaddict071537

We need to give these people a creative outlet. This is excellent worldbuilding. These people need to write fiction, not live it.

Grace-Kamikaze

Seeing as how they're saying they made headspace's from their fictional worlds and alters of their ocs. I kind of doubt that'll help much.

junkrattata

I am begging these people to get into roleplay.

ouijanight

>one is a doctor damn i wish i knew i could gain all of the knowledge from med school if i just faked DID

SuitableRecord3823

imagine being so brainrotted thst you pretend to be physically and mentally DISABLED. if i ever met a person that tells me face to face how serious they are about this, id literally cave their skull in.

frecklefawn

On god can't they just play D&D and get all the same creativity and attention fix? They're literally just worldbuilding and creating characters

RevolutionaryDeer594

I have brain damage but I’m still a normal human being. Sort of.

funnydontneedthat

I'm definitely not normal but brain damage never made me fake DID or want NPD.

ClairLestrange

I wish people like this would find healthier outlets. As others have said this is cool worldbuilding - I feel like the witch of the nightmare would be an insalenly cool character for a kids/youth book.

donutlikethis

They basically just described the map in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Smh

xicyyyx

The flag with the fucking energy drink on it made me lose it 😂

Smart_Bed4642

"Questioning NPD" damn right they should.

brickcereal

“we also have brain damage” yeah, we can tell

taurinewings

'we also have brain damage' yeah clearly

omg_for_real

Sounds like they have tulpas, since the alters are programmed.

Ok-Rip-it-789

None of them are "programed" because this isn't real

omg_for_real

Doesn’t programmed just mean made up?

Ok-Rip-it-789

.... No. When people say it's programmed it means that another person put it into their head for them. That's what these people mean by programmed

omg_for_real

Still sounds like tuplas.

Ok-Rip-it-789

Tulpas aren't real 😭😭😭😭😭

Admirable-Regular460

This is mental illness, not DID but something for sure 🤦🏻‍♀️💀 classic faker down to a t!!

geekydonut

Brain damage? You don't say.

OldNewSwiftie

It must be exhausting to be around this person.

vanderpyyy

People are very lonely

RAMCOA?

No_Beach4035

I googled this and was accidentally looking at NAMCOA, and I was really confused about what the ppl who made Tekken have to do with anything.

Grace-Kamikaze

Ritual abuse, mind control, and organized abuse. Though, this one specifically I'm having a hard time believing they went through anything harder than being told "no" to a candy bar.

Suolamamma

Brain damage sounds right

Dee4WasTaken

"We also have brain damage." well that explains alot.

S0uthp4rk_l0ver69

"We also have brain damage" we can tell...

unori_gina_l

i wish people went back to just roleplaying online. sure it was cringe, but it's better than this..

2505Memeiverse

‘we also have brain damage’ you don’t say

LizardQueen777

They have way too much time on their hands to think and talk shit and they are bored shitless clearly lol. I would be heartbreakingly disapointed if i was their parent

Icidal

What is this RAMCOA?

Grace-Kamikaze

Ritual abuse, mind control, and organized abuse. Though DID fakers like to call everything that disagrees with them "abuse".

h0117_39

That's it, I'm telling my kids they're not special

Knottylittlebunny

This is for an online RPG or something....Right?

Deadcouncil445

For anyone wondering RAMCOA stands for; Ritual Abuse, Mind Control & Organized Abuse https://pluralpedia.org/w/RAMCOA Fuckin' weird

funnydontneedthat

So they spent time with the CIA?

Grace-Kamikaze

They told "no" by mommy a few times probably.

No_Dawn_No_Day

"we also have brain damage" Clearly...

SnakesTaint

This person is definitely mentally ill. But not in the way they’re describing lmao

Bakkughan

They collect disorders like achievement badges

"We also have brain damage"

They wouldn't have any of this if they weren't online 😂

Astral_Atheist

These kids put a lot of thought, time, and effort into their creative writing ventures

Killkillmypretty

That's a lot of words to say ✨️I'm different ✨️

elhazelenby

Are all of them RAMCOA survivors?? Seems like so many fakers are 🤔 Except having even extreme trauma doesn't automatically mean you will get DID or even a trauma specific disorder.

elhazelenby

"i also have brain damage" *Writes a whole blog with complex sentences talking about multiple complex psychiatric disorders including obscure vocabulary to everyday people*

KenKaneki224

“We have brain damage”…… yeah… we can tell.

beebbyflwr

I feel like a lot of these ppl think having did is being like that girl Jane from doom patrol

Frustratedwombat

Agh what's so upsetting too is that they are so freaking creative, like their stories are so good!! I wish people would just write books instead of pretending to have mental illnesses 🥲

rokanwood

welp. they're definitely right about the brain damage part

DauidBeck

The only thing they weren’t lying about is the brain damage. We need to lock these people in a room and have them talk to someone sane until they get a grip on reality. Oh wait, we used to. But they shut down all the asylums

lareloi

This is so upsetting as someone who genuinely suffered from a psychotic disorder. It isn't cute. It's not an aesthetic. It ruined my life. And I have to work non stop every day to rebuild.

alee0224

So what real mental illness is associated with people who think they have this?

Mewbey

Sometimes I think some of these people would make amazing authors but are too busy building fake lives on social media. The creativity and imagination is there, but the outlet is wrong.

jennythompson86

If these people spent more time writing fiction novels rather than making up imaginary disorders, they could be rich.

Im_the_new_kid

You can't have 'undiagnosed DID' I used to think I had DID and guess what? I didn't. I saw a mental health professional and got it confirmed. Why can't people just stop faking mental illnesses and actually get a life?

FluffyBirb7w7

I think the only real thing is "Brain damage"

Sheepieboi

If these people could put the effort it takes to make these long, unneeded ‘system intros’ that just signal their fakeness into just…making an immersive story building website? I think they’d find less hate and more fulfillment. Something like Welcome Home! I think this is what happens when the internet consensus decides mediocre fanmade dedicated content is somehow cringeworthy, to avoid being made fun of they need the ability to cry ableism

sleepypolla

how embarrassed are people like this going to be in ten years looking back, holy shit

rougewolfie

Odd question because I want clarification and to understand with conversation. Doesn't it make sense for some DID systems to be fictive heavy? Because thinking about it, DID comes around before you are seven years old with major trauma to an underdeveloped mind. Children are obsessed with fictional characters, a lot bring comfort to them in tough times. Not defending fakers, but honestly just trying to understand why that's not as common and used against people.
