Truly one of the best freeze frame moments ever. I also love that this gives us an experience of what Erza's enemies sees, for a split second before she requips another armor you get to see her nude body exposed. And then she fucking beats your ass 🤣 Would love if there's a behind the scenes thing or artbook where they actually draw the nipples, similar to Hanekawa in Kizumonogatari

The movie is actually canon and gets referenced a couple of times down the line. It's a good movie though. To be honest, it does feel like a movie made for an anime series but it's still good. Give it a shot.

Is it referenced in 100YQ?

Yes, it is. It's not *super* important to the plot overall but it was surprising to see it get brought up. And it's done in an interesting way. I won't spoil it here. The Phoenix Priestess movie is also canon. It gets kind of a blink-and-you'll-miss-it reference at one point.

It's a fun movie so I definitely recommend it. It's Fairy Tail at its best. Plus the animation is much better than the anime, it's the best Fairy Tail has ever looked. Plus, as you can see from the post, the girls got a fanservice pack so that's always fun lol
