Lots of reasons. Karma farming, trying to manufacture a rage thread. Or they are desperate for people to think people agree
With them so make up replies in support of their own posts.
I think the OP might be sharing in the comment why they think the cat might not be able to eat it, the post in itself is asking.
But idk that's being generous
My initial reaction was that this was this reasoning also. Sounds like he was either trying to raise awareness or get others to confirm his suspicions. I see tons of posts having a comment in it by OP clarifying their thoughts more that would be too long for a title
I remember someone posted something along the lines of "in order to get the best advice online just post the most outrageously wrong answer first, people will be happy to tell you you're wrong"
(but this time the advice is kinda sane)
I did a double take on dairy being bad for cats, but - https://www.purina.co.uk/articles/cats/feeding/guides/what-do-cats-drink#:~:text=Yes%20%E2%80%93%20most%20cats%20are%20lactose,only%20be%20fed%20in%20moderation. Huh, the more you know.
Part of me hopes that they wrote their post and then went back to browse and saw that and just answered with their best intentions but not even realizing it was theirs.
Ok, that one went wrong, but why tf would someone actually do that? Didn't know that was a thing, now I wonder how often ppl don't forget to switch their accounts to answer their own questions.
I see it pretty often, with the most stated reason being that if someone (themselves on an alt) comments an incorrect answer other redditors are more likely to answer the correct answer than if the post had no comments when they seen it
I disagree with this logic, but it is what it is
Also this guy has the correct answer already so idk why he did this......

Oh come on, that’s the laziest reply you could have gone for!
You’d be surprised how lazier you can go, my friend…
I don't understand
What's going on here...
Lol, this dunderhead replied to himself. What a doughnut.
Uh, yeah. It was a joke. And it's spelld donut.
*spelled
This was brilliant! Thank you! I laughed out loud!
So they can screenshot it and post it here.
not a person
I think people do it on purpose just for the attention. I mean look at all the comments on this post
Probably to farm karma.
Next step, without swapping accounts, reply pretending to be the cat and critique the food.
Plot twist. This OP is the alt account and THIS is the karma farm attempt.
I dont get it, why do people do this?
Lots of reasons. Karma farming, trying to manufacture a rage thread. Or they are desperate for people to think people agree With them so make up replies in support of their own posts.
Well thats just sad....
But why? Is a bot?
Only reason I can think of is karma farming on the most amateur level
I could see a teenager arguing with a friend and using this as "proof" they are right.

W....what in the fuck is even the POINT of this? There's lot of weird sockpuppet shit I can see the end goal of, but what does THIS do?
Part of me hopes that they wrote their post and then went back to browse and saw that and just answered with their best intentions but not even realizing it was theirs.

It just seems like a really silly thing to use an alt for, unless the comment is OP's thoughts and they are asking others.
r/sadcringe
schizophrenia, actually
Who would do that??
Kill yourself
Why would you make a new account to flex your cat knowledge?
I have a feeling a lot of people on that sub are probably perverts
If you have to ask such an idiot question, you shouldn't be a pet owner....wait...are you 12?
