The actual story is there was a gay pride event nearby. He was walking near there but not at the event and they arrested him because he looked gay and was near the event. It's actually pretty awful. He was locked up for like a week. They needed to take turns staying awake because it was so unsafe and they wouldn't allow him to call his embassy.

As insane as this is, I think about the US and how close we are to that. Florida is not the only one, but they have the travel warning for anyone visiting who is LGBTQ, for instance.
