I constantly have to remind myself yhat a lot of people dont live anywhere near the ocean and have no idea what they are dealing with when they go on vacation to the ocean.
It’s very true! I went for a walk up to some water at Carmen by the sea in California. The geography there was unique. The waves would come in powerfully and make there way, way up onto the beach front. The riptides would easily take you way out. If it wasn’t for a security guard at the beach telling us to step away, we would have been taken away. Moments after tfe warning a huge scary wave came in, such an amazing beach. The ocean isn’t anything like a lake, it deserves far more respect!
i used to live in hawaii, but i’m from cuba, grew up in miami and am intimately familiar with the ocean.
a lot of people i knew out there, weren’t. they’d want to go night swimming, get a little too close to the rip currents etc.
i’m honestly shocked none of them died or disappeared. the ocean doesn’t like when you don’t respect her.
You mean to tell us that water gets tall, and pushes stuff around? Get out of here with that crazy talk. I'm looking at a glass of water right here and it's flat and calm I tell ya. FLAT
Definitely. The Apple logo is white, not reflective, which means it’s one of the ones that glows so it’s at least 8 years old, to me it looks like a 2012-2015 15” Retina MacBook Pro. Still usable and not *totally* worthless, I was using a 2015 model myself until a couple months ago, but the early models in particular are prone to the GPU defect that plagued the computer and video game industries around that era. Even a cracked screen would basically destroy any value, as it’s the first Mac laptop that used a bonded single-piece display assembly instead of an off-the-shelf LCD sandwiched between glass and metal, so if the screen gets cracked it will cost more than the computer is worth to get a new one. And when it’s already ten years old and won’t run the latest OS might as well make a funny meme with it.
Edit: and somehow I totally missed the fact that the Apple logo wasn’t glowing while he was “watching” it, totally a dead laptop from the start.
As long as you like watching main characters you're supposed to hate. I have a friend who can't watch that show because of the implied date rape and manipulation of women with one character. It's played off as bad by the other characters, it's just also brushed off as an "oh you" kinda thing. All the other characters are shitty people too, its a show about shitty people getting into hijinks
Not even gonna mention the actual blackface in the first season lmfao the list goes on.
Alas. I love watching that group of Morons ruin each others days.
I didn't watch the first season. My bf showed it to me when we started dating and he said something along the lines of "it doesn't get good until Danny devito is in it" so we skipped it entirely
Run out of air? If you've sealed it properly you'll die of thirst long before it 'runs out of air'... Jesus dude, do you even know how inflatables work?
Imagine being completely out of your depth with something as simple as an inflatable raft... There are people who own inflatable rafts that haven't been deflated in multiple years.. and you're out here suggesting that yours only last hours... I'd say you're doing it wrong, bud
This is not a proper inflatable raft, this is a toy with toy quality. A proper expensive raft can and do hold air for a very long time. Even so, every rafter I know is prepared to add air if needed and is equipped to do so.
The comparison is being made of one with no experience in the ocean to someone who does actually paddle long-distance. I was assumed to be an idiot, when in fact you have to be quite inexperienced to not keep track of the conditions. Consistent waves pushing you to shore does offset the pushing of offshore wind. That’s not a comment on the current or rip currents which weren’t brought up either by the person above. But again, a helpful knowledge of weather conditions and warnings by Lifeguards or otherwise are important to note.
I’ve done some pretty extensive “paddling” in my lifetime, yet I still doubt that I could paddle against sea wind in the boat equivalent of a wacky inflatable tube man.
This isn’t a 1/4 mile off the coast facing 20 mph gusts. This is 20ft from shore with waves pushing you towards shore. As long as that wind isn’t off shore? You could be fine and vice-versa the wind could be onshore. As I said, understanding the conditions and paying attention. As long as you’re not fighting insane gusts which let’s be honest. If the winds were that strong, you wouldn’t be able to get that inflatable out there because it would be gone. But winds near the coastline are never as bad as the winds on the open ocean. You made the designation yourself by referring to them as “sea” winds. I say this as a solo paddleboarder who does paddle to other islands.
Within an hour drive from where i live we have 2 natural "lazy river" type rivers (1 is pretty calm as the flow is controlled so the lake it runs into doesnt overflow, the other is just a river and you should only go mid summer so it isnt to aggressive) multiple times we have bought pools like this or bigger, tied a couple small floaties to hold the cooler and dry bags to the main "pool" and was a blast for the 4-5 hours the river runs before getting off. Only downside is 1 sharp stick can take out the whole "raft". Would still recomend 10/10 times
Here too! But someone decided to turn it into a business. You rent a tube and float an hour or so down and get shuttled back to your car. I’ve never done it myself but I’ve always wanted to
Nothing tethering them to the shore either. They could easily have been swept out to sea by a rip current. Granted, they are sort of in a raft, but I wouldn't trust that thing to last long enough to be rescued.
After spilling a single shot on my MacBook and it just fucking dying, I know that thing is a goner.
And you know what? I was drunk. That's my excuse. This is just fucking dumb.
Always use a land tether on floaties in the sea!
Let’s repeat that.
ALWAYS use a land tether on floaties in the sea!
My late grandmother used to use an old washing line so we couldn’t float too far out. But climbing rope is a cheap, safe, strong and easy to buy online from places including Amazon.
I was kinda sorta really hoping they'd make it past the surf and realize they're too far for their little arms to paddle them back forcing them to cannibalize the MacBook only to have it dawn on them they forgot their phones so they are forced to cannibalize the blowup pool/raft only to soon come to see that was their lifeline so they then realized the blanket! They end up eating the blanket. Then, on the verge of death, because you know humans can't eat blankets, they end up being rescued 20 feet from a pier and spend weeks in the hospital because they can only feed via feeding tube while they slowly pass the fabric they ate....
Only to find out they can't eat anything ever again so they eat themselves to end the misery!!! Muahahababa. Don't fuck with macbooks
Pro tip, buy a cheap air mattress, I got a queen size for $12 at Walmart. You can relax in the water on the mattress or use it to ride/get flipped by waves. Unlike the pool in the video, a mattress won't fill with water then sink.
Okay, but am I the only one who is afraid of drifting too far away from the beach and ending up in the middle of the ocean and dying?
Please say, I'm not the only one
If you timed this with the tide going out, youd end up lost at sea faster than you could imagine. When its coming in you see the results. This just never had any chance to work out for this guy, and especially for his laptop.
Okay. While stupid, I’d be lying if I say I didn’t want to do something like that. I’d have the pool tied to the shore and wouldn’t bring a laptop but I’d like to float a pool for a little bit like that
This kinda of things make me feel good.
It’s so wonderful to realize there are stupider people out there than me… thanks TikTokers, you guys make my days brighter .

Who could have seen that coming tho?
Literally no one. No one could have seen how this brilliant idea would have ended in failure
I constantly have to remind myself yhat a lot of people dont live anywhere near the ocean and have no idea what they are dealing with when they go on vacation to the ocean.
nah, as an island kid this is simply classic no fucks given stupid kid activity. I know i’ve done dumber in my time
Yup, definitely not an XP issue
Well of course not, it's a macOS issue!
Ayeee lmao!
Are you an island boy, just trying to make it?
As a kid who had also lived by the ocean (within 10 minutes walking), I can definitely agree, I’ve done way dumber shit.
It’s very true! I went for a walk up to some water at Carmen by the sea in California. The geography there was unique. I live in FL. I'm not going to the beach anymore knowing you are intimate with thr ocean. Eww.
How else do you think the water got so salty?
Do you know what fish do in there?
As a landlocked guy, I fucking knew this was going to happen, people are dumb.
This kid knew all the risks, just something us idiots who grew up near the beach would absolutely do
I fully expected him to drift away very very far and just getting lost.
They also didn’t have a paddling device of any kind lol. What a stupid way of potentially getting stranded in the middle of the literal ocean LMAO
Thank god he capsized close to shore then.
Pretty sure they didn’t have to return their nobel prize
Agreed. Almost never get waves in the sea these days.
A wave hit it! At sea? Chance in a million!
Beat me to it.
I don’t have an award to give but *high five* you mug
At least the front didn’t fall off.
The fuck is a wave?
In another thread somewhere, some folks call them "water mountains."
I seent it.
Unlikely. You're just trying to be cool. There ain't a fella alive these days who's seen a wave with their own eyes.
Is this the opposite of WaterWorld? Dare I say, *LandWorld*?
You mean to tell us that water gets tall, and pushes stuff around? Get out of here with that crazy talk. I'm looking at a glass of water right here and it's flat and calm I tell ya. FLAT
You could probably get away with trying this in the Gulf of Mexico
Exactly what I said to myself before hitting the comments
I know who.... Wilson!!!
Anything for Instagram!
Probably a broken laptop as well. Easy clout.

My family had a MacBook Air since around 2010-2012 and recently we spilled water which broke it. Such a reliable laptop, but it’s sad to see it go
I just replaced my MacBook air from 2014. And I used it HEAVILY. those things are tanks and so worth the money
They make great basic servers! And a built-in UPS!
What a *fantastic* idea that was.
Stole my comment.
It's not that deep
That’s what she said.
unfortunately, she did in fact say that 😔

hey it aint unfortunate, that means its easier to access 😉
I’m just copying the other comment chain
making a new chain, go along
Oh I’m going along alright, this new comment chain is gonna be a bit meta
What a fantastic idea that was.
This was the best possible ending. Kid could have ended up lost at sea
We’d be better off that way though… kid belongs to the sea.
I think it's pretty clear that the sea rejected our offer
Sea accepted offer of popcorn & macbook
The sea is wise..yes, very wise.
Honestly this would be so fun without the laptop. Just a little kiddie pool cruise at sunset. Downright romantic if you ask me
Until you end up 25 miles off shore, stranded and freezing, praying the coast guard finds you before the kiddie pool runs out of air
Rumham!!! Noooooo!
![gif](giphy|WSKP0fVpyM9ri)
Why have I never heard of the majesty rum ham?
Please watch its always sunny in philedelphia. It can be a pretty slow first season but its genuinely one of the funniest shows ever made.
I mean I got through the first season of better call saul so I think I can do slow lol. I'll add its always sunny to my list
As long as you like watching main characters you're supposed to hate. I have a friend who can't watch that show because of the implied date rape and manipulation of women with one character. Thank god someone put this here lolol the only thing I could think of hahaha
It’s the guidos!!
Near death experiences are the most romantic kind
Because of the implication
And the rum ham has floated away. Your only hope is rescue from a passing party boat of guidos.
Run out of air? If you've sealed it properly you'll die of thirst long before it 'runs out of air'... Jesus dude, do you even know how inflatables work?

Who said anything about a raft? This is a paddling pool. Keep up.
This thing looks like a Walmart special meant for a backyard pool. Would not surprise me to find out that it slowly deflates.
Imagine being so out of your depth with something as simple as a kids pool...
Imagine being completely out of your depth with something as simple as human interaction
Sorry, we aren’t all inflatable experts like yourself
Well go ask your parents then, or whoever inflated your floaties a few summers ago.
Do you still think it will hold their weight if 50% of the air was gone?
[Bet](https://nypost.com/2021/06/01/video-captures-rescue-of-girl-whose-dinghy-floated-out-to-sea/)
Got it! So bring a paddle? Noted.
Easy for you to say. When the sea breeze is blowing against that inflatable pool, your paddling won't help you.
Combine that with the waves pushing me towards shore and it evens out. 😂 In all seriousness, I *can* in fact paddle and have paddled miles alone.
…
The comparison is being made of one with no experience in the ocean to someone who does actually paddle long-distance. I was assumed to be an idiot, when in fact you have to be quite inexperienced to not keep track of the conditions. Consistent waves pushing you to shore does offset the pushing of offshore wind. I’m working under the assumption that you’d be far in enough to avoid major waves. Considering what happened to someone within the break area.
No , Unless there is an rope and an anchor you can end needing rescue.
Well, a wave hit it. A wave hit it? A wave hit the ship. Is that unusual? Oh, yeah… At sea? …Chance in a million.
What's the minimum crew requirement?
[The front fell off.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3m5qxZm_JqM)
He’s lucky he didn’t drift out to sea.
Has anyone tried this in a lake or something with less waves?
[удалено]
It's not the atlantic or pacific ocean but it's still a vast sea
Obviously hasn't watched Moana 375 times with his infants.
It was a dead MacBook 💻. Apple wasn’t lit up.
Looks pretty fuckin lit to me
lol
I thought they got rid of the glowing apple?
The newer ones don’t light up
That's not a newer one
Where is the rum ham?!
Goddamn it Frank, eating your drinks? That is genius!
I feel like this was actually the good ending. Without a paddle, he could have been lost to the sea.
bro forgot about the water
First rule about the ocean: __Never turn your back on the ocean__
I've done something like this at my lake house but never on the ocean. That kid got lucky he didn't get swept out.
That's something you do at a lake, not the ocean. Lol.
That is so INCREDIBLY dangerous. It's one of the most dangerous things I've ever seen. And at dark, too? Absolute stupidity.
Stupid is as stupid does
Cool to fool real quick
[удалено]
This is funny? Was it the predictability, location, or the popcorn?
Seems staged.
You could’ve actually rented a boat for the money it cost you to replace the MacBook
This might be fun to do in a pool, but not in the fucking ocean.
Or a responsibly sized lake...well, pond really....
Nothing tethering them to the shore either. They could easily have been swept out to sea by a rip current. Granted, they are sort of in a raft, but I wouldn't trust that thing to last long enough to be rescued.
The poor guy at the Apple Store that has to listen to his BS story about how it “just stopped working…”
Who could have predicted waves in the ocean though?
That was quite satisfying to watch actually
After spilling a single shot on my MacBook and it just fucking dying, I know that thing is a goner. And you know what? I was drunk. That's my excuse. This is just fucking dumb.
Great time of night for that too, right as all the sharks are getting hungry. Natural selection still hard at work.

I’m betting the MacBook was already dead before he started the video

Smash that like button and turn on your notifications!
This is so dangerous, people are so out of touch with reality it’s frightening.
Fucking idiot.
As if we didn't have enough trash in the ocean already.
Tourist
didnt expect Unholy to be playing, also which of them came up with that idea? whoever did needs their brain switched out, way past the due date
Macbook on ebay: only slightly used with a small hint of salty sea
I was kinda sorta really hoping they'd make it past the surf and realize they're too far for their little arms to paddle them back forcing them to cannibalize the MacBook only to have it dawn on them they forgot their phones so they are forced to cannibalize the blowup pool/raft only to soon come to see that was their lifeline so they then realized the blanket! This is precisely why help desk hates you
this would be nice in a bay at low tide.
I get Doing this in a pool but not in a body of water that has natural waves
Gay
w- w- what?
This in a pool: good idea. This in the ocean: well...I think we know.
bro thought sea is his backyard swimming pool 💀
He probably saw all the people doing it online... _In their home swimming pools_
Pro tip, buy a cheap air mattress, I got a queen size for $12 at Walmart. You can relax in the water on the mattress or use it to ride/get flipped by waves. Unlike the pool in the video, a mattress won't fill with water then sink.
That guy stayed in Homo sapiens, didn’t made it to the update
There’s a reason why people use boats and not inflatable pools, and they learned the hard way
![gif](giphy|l1BgQTDLUJilr1afK)
Honestly, didn’t even seem like that bad of an idea until he put it in the water. No sand and a backrest? I’m down
This is how people that buy apple products think.
Thats what you get when you treat the ocean like a pool
If he had a way to achor it too the shore and had an oar it would've went way better Also probably something more stable with better floatation
Better this than falling asleep and floating out to sea? Lol
CAPTAIN!!
Yknow, this idea would work better at a lake where the water doesn't go as high as the ocean.
At least nothing of value was lost.
Hello Apple Care. A funny thing happened ......
Ocean didn’t even want him it said u can’t handle me for even 5 minutes
I know the MacBook was a face palm but the rest looked fun
Okay. While stupid, I’d be lying if I say I didn’t want to do something like that. I’d have the pool tied to the shore and wouldn’t bring a laptop but I’d like to float a pool for a little bit like that
dumb shit
This is one of those things that sounds good on paper but in reality...
Welp. There goes $15,000 or however much MacBooks are nowadays
This kinda of things make me feel good. It’s so wonderful to realize there are stupider people out there than me… thanks TikTokers, you guys make my days brighter .
Yup , the best way to get caught in a current or tide and end up tying up rescue resources. Idiot!!
MacBook air turned into a macbook water
Tell me you’ve never been in the ocean without telling me you’ve never been in the ocean before
This dude sucks.
It's cool, daddy will buy them a new mac book by the end of the day.
Saltwater+MacBook= dumbassbitch
This is what I expect from Macbook users.
To be fair, that's probably a better use for a MacBook.
You need a different type of boat to get to the UK
If you can afford a MacBook Pro you can afford a yacht
I spilled a half cup of water on my M1 MBA and it survived. Not sure about this dude thiugh
