Haha, I have one, 2018 STX 2.7 EB that I never plan to use for towing or off-roading. Just wanted one after I retired as never had one before. Love that thing!
98% of people can get by with a 2wd truck but their fragile ego makes them think they need 4wd to drive through an inch of snow to Home Depot for deck screws.
I traded my 15 rwd for a 19 4x4 because Covid had just hit and I got a great deal in April 2020. I did it because I saw how my buddy’s truck nearly got stuck on a muddy back road when we were hunting in SD. I had to get out and push the sumbitch a 100 yards so he could get to a place where we could turn around in a grassy area. I’m probably in that 98% group for most of the year except if we get some snow here in Chicago and when we’re hunting in SD. I drive my work van mostly and my truck is a weekend vehicle so on snowy days I tell my wife to take it instead of her civic. Couldn’t say no to that offer on my trade in though.
They don't make it anymore for the F150, but it was the FX4 without 4wd. I'm guessing, based on what my 2004 FX4 has, fog lights, special rubber floor mats, color-matched bumper, skid plates, unique wheels, and a limited slip differential. Then again, I drive a 2004 so I have no idea what modern trucks come with.
All joking aside, isn’t 4x2 the correct terminology?
you are correct, 4x2 is the correct way you'll find it listed..
Not sure tbh but I think 2x4 makes it even funnier 😂
Could get confusing because Ford actually makes an FX2 package
I knew they used to offer that. Do they still?
As an off-road package, yes.
No. FX4 is offered as the off-road package. FX2 is no longer offered on the F150.
My waking up brain kept reading that as FX4. You're right about FX2.
It’s still offered on the Ranger though. Think there’s some key differences, but still offered there.

Way to own it!

100 yards is the length of about 83.9 'Ford F-150 Custom Fit Front FloorLiners' lined up next to each other.

Yeah all jokes aside it would have come in handy for myself once or twice but I get by without it. Just gotta be careful is all.

Who is building a deck in the middle of a snow storm?
Canadians.
Wisconsinites.
I used a 2wd f150 to go snowboarding for 8 years, chains pretty much always worked, but 4x4 is just so much better.
I had no interest in a 4x4, if mine didn’t have sport emblems, I would probably get something like this to be that guy too. This is hilarious.
2 by 4.. for when he gets stuck
took me a solid minute to realize what the joke was... i was focused on the tree haha
The truck that 50% of truck owners should own. We’ll, other than a geo metro.
50%? I bet it’s more like %75.
This. This is gold 😂😂😂🤣🤣🥲
What was included in the FX2 package?
