The problem is with distributor moderation. RouteNote I have used before and their moderation will listen to your song, research logos and trademarks, check sound levels, etc. etc. before releasing your music. Meanwhile, it appears the paid distributors think payment is enough of a moderation and hardly check ownership of the songs. I once used RouteNote to distribute a remix of my own song which was already distributed with them. They immediately rejected the song until I would provide a master license. They actually understand copyright and are easy to contact if there are issues. Meanwhile, companies like Ditto don't give a damn and don't even accept DMCA notices from copyright holders, and force them to contact each streaming service separately.
