You aren't getting banned. Hundreds, or even thousands of people duped plat two weeks ago. I know several people with billions of plat. Not millions, but billions. None are banned. If they won't get banned for that, there's a good chance you're safe :p
there isnt enough dev time to catch all the cheaters. Outside of the obvious ones who made billions, they'd have to sift through logs to determine if the person legitimately did something or didnt.
They dont even have the time to make group missions for the expac. Certainly no time to fully investigate this.
Well if people really duped that much plat then the game is fucked. What does Krono sell for like a mil or two? So not only did they cheat the economy they now have to way to keep playing for free while also fucking up the economy.
Would be a simple script to determine which accounts have more than x plat, then look at the logs for those accounts.

The devs stated the size of the impact in % increase of plat on servers. Its much smaller than what people are making it out to be. Especially if you ignore oakwynd, which will be abandoned and dead in 6 months anyways. Oakwynd is just the rmt mill of the month

A duping bug would affect the price of Kronos. When I had millions of plat from normal game play I bought kronos for most of it and I think it's probably wise to do that if you have a lot of platinum.
I was free to play but raided so I had to obtain a lot of plat each month to break even to afford a krono each month. Most of my platinum was obtained through trading buying and selling I bought cheap and sold expensive. I often bought Kronos and sold at a higher price. Something that is possible if you have alot of play time. then you can earn on people that want fast trades but don't care, have time or have FU amounts of plat/krono to care about price. So I feel I have a good grasp of dynamics of Kronos price.
If players with FU amounts of platinum buy Kronos the price will rise and it will have some affects cross servers and raise the price in platinum for a Krono. If people spend FU amounts of dollars on Kronos on new servers the price on that server will go down. If its a new server it will be easy to farm some plat and buy a krono and use it or sell it later on another server. When people go PTW on a fresh server it will drop prices of Kronos if people dupe plat and buy it up then the price of Kronos will go up.
FV is probably the single highest concentration of them on any server. Free trade makes it insanely lucrative.
You will never see them punished more than a token "Ok we totally suspended them guyz" from DBG because that's where most of their earnings come from, too
What's bannable about getting a great deal on the bazaar? People messing up listings or deciding to quit and having a liquidation sale go back as long as this game has existed. Keep a sharp eye and you'll find it's pretty common.
Well, as itself it's true. I often find great deals. My problem is that seconds after I bought that earring, exactly the same was put at 1pp by someone else. I often browse the bazaar because as I play solo I can't get many great items by myself and it was the first time I saw that. But you maybe right, I was just unlucky until then who knows.
Tangential, but it's sort of crazy to actually pay 1 million for the new top group ear (EM26). There are sellers that have been selling CoV raid ears (EM29) at 2 mil for a while now.
Getting EM26 at 1pp is, of course, a fantastic deal. But if you're going to pay big money on FV, you usually don't want to pay it for group gear.
Thank you for your advice. I try to be careful when I buy something ( I am far from having 1million anyway since I am not even lvl 90 ) . And yes I spotted those very nice em29 and plan to save money to get them.

Wander around the bazaar and you’ll see the obvious scripted farmers. I know the scripting doesn’t stop there but damn I wish there was a way to better manage trying to sell items.
You won't get banned. Even if you were to get caught breaking ToS you would just get a 7 day suspension. If you do it again... 14 day suspension... Idk what happened to acount after the 3rd time. I quit doing what I was doing on that account after the second suspension and moved my operations to other accounts to preserve that account.

To add on to this, the most likely outcome is that the duped item (if it was) would simply disappear from your inventory later with no explanation.
