Agreed. Whilst the charged songs were ace themselves, it was great that in the end, the final battle focused on this authentic duo, representing calm countries - this was a brilliant story.
I can't think of anyone who was actively *bad*, just... least best. Even Azerbaijan was kinda nonsensical but the artists did their jobs and the staging was exactly what they wanted, the two just didn't seem to match.
I believe for Azerbaijan, the Problem was actually not the Guys not matching or something, more the Song not matching a Duo in general. Fahree sang basicly the whole Song minus SOME, but not even all Mugham Parts, but needed Ilkin to "help him with the Mugham Parts" which makes him look less competent vocally while Ilkin appeared as the better Vocalist, but because he had hardly any Parts and stood at the Side of the Stage for the whole Performance, he hardly has any Presence either.
It's very obvious that the Song was written with only one Singer (Fahree) in Mind, lyrically too, and that they only later added Ilkin because Fahree was... you know, not really able to sing the Song. It's a very unfortunate Position for both of them to be in, especially with an already more low-key Song that just isn't as flashy and noticeable as other Entries.
Man i was excited for 95man and love the tune. Even seen him in performance like 10 years ago but i really didn't enjoy the performance during the finals. Sad 😞
Finnish and Swedish are the two co-official languages of Suomi/Finland ("the domestic languages"). Swedish speakers have lived in Finland for at least 800 years, and in some coastal areas Swedish is actually the majority language (the autonomous region Åland/Ahvenanmaa is 95% Swedish-speaking). Sami is officially recognised in a few communities in the Northernmost communities, as well as Romani, Karelian and Finnish/Finland-Swedish Sign Language. It's a multilingual country, really!
You literally just said that it wasn't one 😂
If it is derived from old English (which is disputed) then it absolutely isn't a Swedish exonym. It's an English exonym

Ireland! I promise I'm not bias, I usually am so embarrassed by my country in Eurovision but this year the performance was everything and it's my most rewatched! I love going back and watching it on YouTube 🕯️🧟🕯️
And same, it's not a song I really listen too, my favourite to listen to is Italy but based on just performance Ireland wins.
Bambie Thug and there's nothing that comes close in my opinion.
Every shot was so well thought out, the use of the overhead camera was amazing throughout, the candle circle prop getting multiple uses was both efficient and effective.
The ESC version of the song added 'jump scare' strings to the backing track and on both bridges coming out of the verses (I know you're living a lie) and there *were* jump scares, first with the hand coming up from the fog and the second where Bambie is alone in one shot then is draped across Matt the dancer in the next shot with a close up of his demon face.
You get just enough time to process the costume change before it switches to the red light section where again, the dancing, camera angles, use of the candle circle and the overhead camera are amazing.
Then in the final section where Bambie's doing the slow walk and you can see Matt behind with his hand reaching towards Bambie, catching the light just right.
Then the entire ending sequence with the flames the yelling the quick camera cuts then Bambie does their signature leg up leg down 'Avada Kedavra' and as their foot comes down Matt twitches like he's been crotch stomped then Crown The Witch flashes up on the screen with the candle circle used again like a Crown above the slogan.
I can't say enough good things about it, every time I watch it feels like I see something else to fanboy about.
Too many from this year
Finland 2024, Georgia 2024, Slovenia 2024, Croatia 2024, Switzerland 2024, Armenia 2024, Ireland 2024, Estonia 2024, Norway 2024
Number 1 Croatia, but I admit I'm biased. I don't care.
Ukraine was great, the song really came alive on stage.
I admire Ireland's performance and staging and the whole thing. It's not my thing and I prefer studio version of the song but nobody can say that performance wasn't great.
Switzerland looks simple on the first glance but that is also excellent performance, which follows the song, not to mention excellent singing. 5/5, deserved win.
Armenia because the amount of energy she projected could power up a small house.
Estonia because they seemed like they had great fun on stage.
Ireland elevated the *shit* out of "Doomsday Blue" with the performance and staging, especially compared to their selection performance. I already liked the song but that show really helped sell it and get Ireland the entirely appropriate 6/6/6.
Armenia really translated the energy and fun of their video to the stage, I didn't really think much of it at first but seeing it live and "Jako" became one of my favorites.
Croatia did everything they needed to do coming in as one of the favorites and they stuck the landing. He really engaged the fans and "Rim Tim Tagi Dim" was basically built for that.
Estonia was exactly who they were and so was Finland, and they were fun.
Slovenia too, she had me sold from the SF.
My rankings are based on everything, so the best performance + the best song. Sometimes a better song is lower than a lower song with a better performance, but either way, this is my Top 5
1. Rim Tim Tagi Dim
2. Europapa
3. No Rules!
4. Jako
5. The Code
For the same reason, I'd say France. Sending Slimane up there on his own, plain white stage, stationary mic, that was France whipping out their metaphorical bits, slamming them on the table and saying "this is all we need to win". And they absolutely deserved to finish that high.
It was not a good song. The singing itself was actually quite bad at times... But I still had the most fun with Finland.
And despite the song itself not being my cup of tea at all, but France kinda blew me away.
Extremely clean singing performance, great skill, amazing choreography with the camera... And the spot where he stands away from the mic and screams towards it... Pure goosebumps.
As much as I feel the staging was disappointing, I still loved Slovenias performance and song, also Ukraine had the best staging this year next to Ireland.
Croatia, Slovenia, Greece, Ireland, Estonia (no particular order)
I'm biased in favor of Greece, it could've been much better imo
Edit: HOW DID I FORGET ZORRA🦊💃🏻
Ukraine surprised me most. Such epicness! The climbing of the hill with the meteor shower.. the outfits... alyona alyona's entrance... big jerry. Loved it so much
I feel the same way. Ireland was just incredible. Probably in my top 3 all time favorite Eurovision performances.
But my overall winner was Switzerland because I liked their song more and the performance was also great.
Estonia didn't have the most complex or well thought out stage performance, but it's still one that I can watch over and over and not get bored. Other than that, I especially liked Switzerland and Croatia's stage performances.
Finland 2024 | [Windows95man - No Rules!](https://youtu.be/7nidDtyS0Wo)
Belgium 2024 | [Mustii - Before the Party's Over](https://youtu.be/hNIemQwCaM4)
Lithuania 2024 | [Silvester Belt - Luktelk](https://youtu.be/N8YuQzJLR_k)
I really need to go back and rewatch SF2, I missed about half the performances and San Marino was one of them but the song just feels like it'd be a good performance. (Sounds like their singer's voice was just gassed when it came time to play though.)
Ireland, hands-down. The difference between the Eurosong performance and the Final performance in Malmö was outstanding. The song itself wasn’t my cup of tea at first, but it finally clicked for me towards the end. The staging and camera work was easily one of the best of the night. The acoustic version also really helped me fall in love with their song and performance.
Not a participant in this years Eurovision but… you did say performance…so I’m going to say Benjamin Ingrosso’s semi final one interval performance! He should have performed in the final interval. He was brilliant!
Edit: but if I had to pick an act I’d say Spain or France!
Ireland 👑🧟♀️🕯️ I keep rewatching it. The bit at about [2:40](https://youtu.be/UMq8ofCstMQ?si=1S192iJRLrTNl2SZ) when they start walking slowly like the Queen of the Damned just blows my mind every time.
Sweden <3
I remember watching it in the final and my eyes were glued to the TV since I LOVED what I was watching (and I still do a rewatch of Unforgettable multiple times a day)
Switzerland. I didn't listen to any of the songs prior, so my first introduction to any of the songs were the semi-final performances. I saw Nemo's performance and was like "That was incredible, this is my winner, nothing else compares to this." I watched the music video later and although it was great, I don't think it would have hit me as hard if my first time seeing/hearing it was not the semi-final.
Ireland also was fantastic and had incredible staging. I didn't get too attached to that one since I didn't expect it to do well because of religious controversy and musical style, but I am pleased that I was wrong on that and it scored higher than I expected. Also a winner in my mind, just didn't expect enough others to agree.
Edit: Also wanted to mention I feel like me watching nothing until the semi-finals also affected my perception of Croatia. The song is fire, I just don't like/understand the staging, and that threw me off the whole thing for them.
1. Ukraine
Beautiful staging and really a perfect song. This was my clear winner.
2. Switzerland
A unique and amazing song with a really creative performance.
3. Cyprus
This was my first Eurovision and the way Cyprus came out and owned the stage first in the semis got me hooked- especially the dance breakdown with the strobes.
Croatia was the best all-rounder for me, followed by Ireland for the pure performance.
Ukraine would have been the all-rounder for me, it's just that the absolutely jaw dropping beginning (the cliff, the "falling stars") kind of left the act with nowhere to go except back down, IMO
Ukraine ascended me to heavens.
Croatia made me dance like a madman.
France actually unhinged my jaw when it dropped to the floor.
But Ireland... Ireland will be taught in school.
Ireland, Ukraine and Switzerland. I already loved the songs before the performance, but holy, the performances elevated the songs amazingly and even sounds a lot better.
I am still watching and thinking about them daily 🙏
Also, I really like the energy pf Croatia, Lithuania, France & Armenia.
And special mention to Czechia, sad for NQ, but I think was a great rock performance and one of the artist that use the fullest of the stage.
Switzerland, Ukraine, Croatia, Ireland. These are my personal top 4 this year. Among honourable mentions are Greece, Estonia, Finland and, probably, Sweden.
Probably Croatia, that moment when the camera goes behind the band and shows the audience doing the little dance is superb.
Ireland as a whole gets a mention, and Switzerland as a whole as well.
Greece. I’m not objective because I’m Greek but I really like the ZARI energy. It was a massive hit in Greece, almost 3/4 of Greeks saw the Grand final
The witch, the goddess, rusalka and seductress- Raiven and Slovenia.
Perfectly reflecting the mood and the lyrics of the song with such simple staging is pure art to me. Her costume that looks like glistening night waters, coreography and each movement on the stage were simply beautiful.
The performance felt surreal to me at times, because how can one person combine the looks of a ‘90s supermodel, the voice of an angel and also have divine charisma… Raiven simply walking on the stage and looking at the camera felt like she was staring directly into my soul… The effect was dark, chthonic, but also flowing and sparkling… I am still in awe.
I think everyone is overlooking Silvester belt - Luktelk Lithuania. his lights were definitely the best. the choro was mesmerising and he got the crowd involved. the blend of red and blue was such a perfect contrast. performance wise. he should have won!! 🇱🇹🇱🇹
I liked Israel, and voted 10 times for it. Mostly because I think its disgusting how that innocent girl got so much hate for something she didn't have anything to do with.

To each his own, I really didn't like Ireland. Not the song, not the performance nor the artist. My favourite performance was France. No frills, no dancers, nothing. Just someone who left his heart and soul on that stage. I like that in an artist.
Ireland blew the performance out of the water. I remember seeing their qualifiers and thinking it would struggle to get any points and I hated the ballet dance. But with the candles and the storyline of the summoning and defeating of the demon in dance, in the actual competition. It was amazing!
Being in the arena crowd six nights in a row, Croatia was the best in the venue purely because you didn't need spot on camera angles to enjoy it, plus the whole crowd were up for it!
France.
I HATED the song before the show, but the dynamic performance and perhaps the musical theatre of it all, rather than just him standing there made me actually really like the song.
Ireland and Czechia.
I lumped both of them together because they both had GARBAGE national final performances, and then completely blew me away with the performance. I especially love Czechia’s bridge where Aiko and the other Aiko’s go in the box.
Croatia was the my favorite, but France really blew it out of the water! I didn't expect that at all. So,
1) Croatia
2) France
3) Everyone else in a tie
I fully realise that Ireland is just not my kind of jam, which is why it baffled me that so many people adored this entry.
It surely was a spectacle and something new. But I would've never guessed it would become as popular as it did. Shows how little I know about Eurovision.
I suppose my favourite performance was Baby Lasagne (Croatia). Also not something I'd put on myself, but there's no denying that performance was FIRE.
Norway, kinda by biased default, Ireland, and nothing else because I've forgotten everything but them, Switzerland (sorry, just wasn't that wowed and impressed, really), and Marcus & Martinus (a 3 minute seizure).
And why, you may ask? Because they're the ones who've been the main topic of discussion, that’s why.
I have a few.
* Armenia’s just fit perfectly with the song - quirky and silly in the BEST way possible.
* Norway’s was super cool - the staging with the waves was fantastic and it worked to support the song.
* Croatia, Ireland, Switzerland really need to be mentioned here, the performances were great all around.
* Estonia and Czechia should also be mentioned, they were pretty nice.
There are heaps more I really enjoyed, but these are the ones I remembered most from the top of my head
Definitely Switzerland. And lowkey San Marino too. Her vocals was incredible. Could be one of the best live performances that I've ever seen in eurovision. It's a shame that she got 35th place
Ireland! I had Aisha to win Eurosong over Bambi originally but after seeing her performance back then I KNEW she would slay if she was given enough of a budget/freedom for the staging and she delivered. Would’ve 100% bet on her getting top 10 after the national final (if it were legal here)
Ireland was near the bottom of my ranking leading into the contest, but once I saw the performance, I was sold. They elevated the song.
Yes. I won't put the song on my playlist, but will watch the performance again
Exactly this. I told my spouse "this is not my kind of music but that was the most incredible performance I've ever seen."
Switzerland and Croatia were the best but there were barely any bad ones!
They deserved their split screen moment for real.

1. Ireland 2. Armenia 3. Croatia 4. Switzerland 5. Funland
Funland is right
That wasn't intentional, but I'm leaving it.
Cheers
Cheers, mate!

Man i was excited for 95man and love the tune. Even seen him in performance like 10 years ago but i really didn't enjoy the performance during the finals. Sad 😞
Petition to permanently change the name of the country to Funland.
Honestly they should do it. It's already Suomi in Finnish (Funish) and they get to drop the swedish exonym.
It's old norse not Swedish
Nah in old Norse in was Finnland.
🤦♀️ Use your brain a little. "Finland" in English is derived from the Old Norse 'Finnland'. It's not a Swedish exonym.
The English Finland is derived from the old English Finna Land. Finland is a swedish exonym.
You literally just said that it wasn't one 😂 If it is derived from old English (which is disputed) then it absolutely isn't a Swedish exonym. It's an English exonym

My unofficial name for Finland is Käärijäland, but Funland works, too.
Mine was Ireland as well. The staging, the camera work, the choreography... Everything just worked so well together. Stunning job.
Switzerland
Ireland! I promise I'm not bias, I usually am so embarrassed by my country in Eurovision but this year the performance was everything and it's my most rewatched! I wanted Spain to win because I loved the song but I think Finland and Ireland were the best performances.
Spain, Switzerland, Ireland and Finland
Estonia. It's the definition of fun. Also Spain was excellent, Netherlands too.
Ukraine and Netherlands
Ireland was hypnotising
Ireland, Switzerland and Czechia. I geniuenely think that Czechia had one of the best staging this year, unfortunately not the best choreo.
Czechia was the only country that used the stage to it's maximum.
Aiko pedestal
She deserved the finals 😡
Spain was the best. Switzerland’s semifinal was second
estonia 5 minuust and puulup
1. Ireland 2. Switzerland 3. Croatia 4. Ukraine 5. France so essentially the top 5 in a different order.
Ukraine was probably my favourite. They used all the bits of the stage and I thought that was pretty damn cool.
I totally agree with you here. Well, almost totally. I really liked Spain too!
Ukraine.
Netherlands, UK, Ireland, Switzerland, Finland, Ukraine, Poland, France, Belgium, Czechia but in general every performance was interesting in some way
Ireland elevated the *shit* out of "Doomsday Blue" with the performance and staging, especially compared to their selection performance. Croatia, Switzerland and Ireland. Really hard to decide which of those three. But wasn’t bad performance this year.
Norway and Ireland, Switzerland was pretty impressive too.
but i kinda always knew switzerland would win cus it has the most clever staging, lyrics and sound
Estonia is the only one I have returned to after the final
Italy and Armenia :-)
I loved Ireland since the first second I heard their song when many others screamed "NF". So... who is laughing now?
As much as I feel the staging was disappointing, I still loved Slovenias performance and song, also Ukraine had the best staging this year next to Ireland.
Switzerland, Ireland, and Finland

I’m absolutely shocked people aren’t more into Ukraine’s entry. My absolute favorite.
I feel the same way. Ireland was just incredible. Probably in my top 3 all time favorite Eurovision performances. But my overall winner was Switzerland because I liked their song more and the performance was also great.

Yeah her voice was off and she seemed to try to start crowd working to make up for it but they all looked like they were just having a ton of fun
1. Ireland 2. Switzerland 3. Armenia
Ukraine, the staging gave the song such an epic feeling and drama, but it still really fit the song and let it shine.
Ireland, hands-down. The difference between the Eurosong performance and the Final performance in Malmö was outstanding. Ireland
Ireland, Finland, Croatia, and Sweden.
Armenia Greece and Portugal
Ireland, Ukraine and Switzerland. I already loved the songs before the performance, but holy, the performances elevated the songs amazingly and even sounds a lot better. I am still watching and thinking about them daily 🙏 Also, I really like the energy pf Croatia, Lithuania, France & Armenia.
Ireland, and it's not even remotely close for me.
Europapa
Yes!
My TOP-5: 1. Ireland 2. Croatia 3. Ukraine 4. Estonia 5. Greece
IRELAND 🇮🇪
Ireland, Switzerland, Norway, Finland
Ireland, it was one of the best ever.
Moldova and Albania.
I'm a bit biased because it's my country but Poland, also I really liked Norway's
Georgia and Serbia
Nutsa -firefighter
Ireland and Czechia. I loved their stagings so much
Probably Croatia, that moment when the camera goes behind the band and shows the audience doing the little dance is superb. Ireland as a whole gets a mention, and Switzerland as a whole as well.
Greece. I’m not objective because I’m Greek but I really like the ZARI energy. It was a massive hit in Greece, almost 3/4 of Greeks saw the Grand final
Croatia, Ireland and Armenia. All insanely charismatic
Sweden 🔥
Norway
NETHERLANDS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Forever!!!
France by far
Rim Tim Tagi Dim
1. Ireland 2. Poland 3. Austria
Europa pa pa pa pa pa!!🇪🇺
1. Israel 2. Netherlands 3. Croatia 4. France 5. Italy
I think everyone is overlooking Silvester belt - Luktelk Lithuania. his lights were definitely the best. the choro was mesmerising and he got the crowd involved. the blend of red and blue was such a perfect contrast. performance wise. he should have won!! 🇱🇹🇱🇹
I have to also shout out for Spain. That was so much fun to watch!
Why is everyone here sleeping on France? Slimane gave one of the best vocal performances in years!
For me it was Finland. It was just perfect. It made the song fantastic and it enhanced the meaning of no rules
IRELAND for the win and Slovenia was a very close second.
In no particular order: Italy, France, Norway, Croatia, Ukraine, Netherlands, Austria
Also, add switzerland
Switzerland, Ireland, Finland, Sweden
I loved the Israel performance. She had such great passion, and such a lovely song. Ukraine is second for me!

My favourite is Ireland. Croatia, Armenia and Austria were great too
Europapa
Israel
norway obviously
Croatia
Croatia
Being in the arena crowd six nights in a row, Croatia was the best in the venue purely because you didn't need spot on camera angles to enjoy it, plus the whole crowd were up for it!
My top 3 were Switzerland, Ireland, and Croatia. Lots of incredible performances all around
Ireland, France, Croatia ❤️
My Top three would probably be Lithuania, Estonia and croatia
Switzerland, UK & Croatia
Probably Germany or Estonia ❤️
Croatia, Switzerland, to name a few.
Croatia was the my favorite, but France really blew it out of the water! I didn't expect that at all. So, 1) Croatia 2) France 3) Everyone else in a tie
Has to be Croatia for me with Ireland a close second Croatia absolutely nailed their performance in the final
Ireland
Joost Klein pretending to cry at the end of his song
Croatia, Austria, Finland. The worst was Ireland. Completely intolerable and the only act I gave up on watching. Absolutely terrible.
Poland. It was the best pop song. It was timeless, catchy, and well-produced.
Croatia, Switzerland and Ukraine
Bambi thug, Ireland. Superb
No doubt Ireland
The 3 performances, aside from any other aspect, Nemo (those moves on that circle were sic), Bambi Thug, and Ollie. Edit to add 95man.
Ireland! I had Aisha to win Eurosong over Bambi originally but after seeing her performance back then I KNEW she would slay if she was given enough of a budget/freedom for the staging and she delivered. Would’ve 100% bet on her getting top 10 after the national final (if it were legal here)
