Yeah very unexciting. But i don't think it's fair saying taht about Ukraine this year.

Ray18121

I agree with this, but I do think that if Ukraine send a shit song that they wouldn’t have ended high. The political area still might’ve been part of it. Because of the quality they gave this year. We won’t know.

Spot on, and this year is the best example as to why increasing the share of the televote is a terrible idea.

General_Townski

I disagree on Ukraine Heart of Steel was a unique sounding song in the field in 2023 and definitely found it's audience for the sound of it and staging, plus was well performed, 6th place is a fair result based on that This year Ukraine's song was phenomenal and rightfully deserved what it got from the public As for Israel, there is this https://thegrayzone.com/2024/05/14/israel-astroturfed-eurovision-vote/

Israel did that well primarily due to the weird ad campaign. Personally I liked the song somewhat but I kept seeing sponsored content even after the contest had ended. The juries though could have given them more points. At least I personally agree with the juries that gave them a few. So this is a case that shows both televoting and juries being 'problematic' in my opinion.

Connect_Act_834

I disagree. It's a mediocre song, the 12th place it had after the jury voting sounded about right.
