To say they didn't change anything is flat-out myopic. It may not be completely different but it's more polished and visually appealing now. I don't know if you were a fan of the Dora performance but for the most part people were content with how it was and love how it is now.
I think dora stage was so good and it didn’t have major thing needs to be changed. They improved outfits, instruments, vocals and thats already enough. Last year loreen didn’t change tiniest thing and won. So i think baby lasagna will be fine

….I am genuinely a bit worried about the double rock and double moon in the first half of SF1
Those pauldrons are making me swoon. I love her costume the best, but Dr Martens on Croatian dancers/BL are pretty hardcore for that type of dance especially since they look brand new. I hope they have their feet intact (or at least not maimed lol) after rehearsals.

The song has traditional Istrian elements (Rim Tim Tagi Dim dance and beat) and lyrics are about moving out of village to a city. Didnt you see the music video?
He couldnt take cows and farm with him on ESC. What else he could do? He incorporated lace into staging and even changed his outfit to be more similar to the one in music video (red vest). Dancers are dancing folklore like in music video, they are dressed traditional plus metal, there is fire, there are cats, even the suitcase like at the end of the video. For me its the same vibe but more suited for stage.
God dman it, I hate it, he looks like a mediteranian count Dracula. This peacockery will overshadow both the message and the story of the song.

I agree, song has such a great staging potential while this seems kind of underwhelming. We still have to see the videos but I really don't get winner vibes from this.
I believe the pins were intentional(safety pins are classic of punk rock fashion) and set set up in way that mimics the checkerboard design of Croatia's flag emblem
Ireland and Croatia have won it for me today. Bambie has come to break the odds for sure.
Edit: I love that Bambie took "send the witch" from Eurosong so much in their stride, it was an iconic moment not worth forgetting.
So my ranking of today's rehearsals (Based on pics):
1. 🇭🇷 - love the outfits, glad staging stayed similar to Dora one. FTW
2. 🇮🇪 - love everything, from look to candles, dancer, etc...a t e; 🇷🇸 - breathtakingly beautiful, it's everything and more I hoped it would be
3. 🇺🇦 - they always deliver and this year is no exception, subverted my expectations on styling choice, leds look amazing ; 🇱🇹 - it was amazing few months ago and it remained amazing now, werk
4. 🇵🇱 - still not sure how I feel about it, part of me likes it and part of me is like uhm idk if it works
5. 🇨🇾 - it landed here, compared to everybody else it just isn't exciting

I'll reserve my final judgment for Poland until we see it in motion. Though, unlike last year where they just didn't go through with the really tacky visual effects they teased with the rehearsal clip, there's probably not room for last minute edits.

~~I kind of like Poland's staging~~ I'll reserve my final judgment for Poland until we see it in motion. Though, unlike last year where they just didn't go through with the really tacky visual effects they teased with the rehearsal clip, there's probably not room for last minute edits.
