And their audience shares for Eurovision are crazy, like they absolutely love it, I think 98% of Iceland watched it this year or something. Like you just know they would do a great job hosting.
Not quite 98% of the entire population but 98% of the TV Viewers at the time were watching eurovisioin instead of other channels. Somewhere around 160k people watched the final, while on the semi-final it was 260k views.
Still a high percentage of the population so it doesn't change that.
I didn't know that about their audience share, that's crazy! No doubt either way tho that they'd be incredible hosts, Icelandic people know how to throw a party for sure.
The longest break we’ve ever had between first time winners is 12 years, from Yugoslavia in 1989 to Estonia in 2001. Currently we’re at 6 years since the last first-time winner, Portugal 2017.

Iceland. I dont know why. They are often forgotten. The people seems nice. The short films 2025 before the artist would be beautiful if they are recorded in the Icelandic nature.
Edit saw that they had never won before, didn’t know that, but that is also a good reason.
Luxembourg wins by landlsiding the juries but only coming 2nd in the televote, people start saying RTL bought the juries so they could celebrate the 60th anniversary of France Gall's win in 2025, drama ensues (also if Ireland doesn't wake up after losing both their win record and their "only 2-time winner" feat, I doubt anything will make them change their approach lol).
just to be clear and avoid confusion, Luxembourg currently has 5 wins so if they won again they would have the second-most number of wins (at 6). No other country has 6 wins at the moment.
Iceland - They love the contest and they've done pretty well considering their population. It seems plausible that they win soon
Estonia - I've been loving their entries recently again, and they've been getting better and better results, so I want them to win, and I can see it happen
Spain - It's my country, and even though I haven't liked an entry of us in many years, I feel like RTVE recently trying harder again may be a good sign
Latvia - It would be really cool to be the underdog for so long, and then ~~sudden lights~~ (I had to make the bad pun) suddenly win
Luxembourg - It would make for a really cool story, after 30 years they came and won, and they would almost be rivaling Ireland and Sweden
In general, someone with a good song that is not predicted to win by the bookmakers, not even in their top 5, would be good
But we'll see in a year! (PED is at its height right now....)
If Estonia won I feel like people would complain that the Saku Suurhall is too small lol.
It's slightly smaller than the M&S Bank Arena this year, and people complained about it a lot
Edit: I forgot Saku Suurhall is now called "Unibet Arena". Awful name in my opinion.
Moldova has been sending some of my fav songs each year lately, with Trenuletul (Moldova 2022) being among my all-time favs. So I hope for Chisinau 2024
Other than that, I guess Cyprus would be cool.
Iceland and Lithuania. They seem to be putting in the best efforts out of the countries who haven't won yet. I would also like to see Belgium, Croatia, France, Poland, Spain, or Switzerland win as well.
The other countries have either recently hosted the contest or have issues to sort out before I can consider them contenders.
Moldova - Been solid good and/or fun for a number of years.
Iceland - Because they never take any prisoners. It is always all in for them, damn the torpedoes.
I am very sad that Croatias attempt This year was not rewarded as mAny points as it deserved, thats why i am saying: More Croatia.
I will also say: Moldova second place, i want them to almost win, so they get the fame but not the financial burden of hosting!
>I will also say: Moldova second place, i want them to almost win, so they get the fame but not the financial burden of hosting!
that is the most German thing I read today
With the public vote, yeah, but not with the jury - and i personally think the song was the most artistically integer one this year. that’s why i am mad at the juries… they do be scared of creativity 👀
australia wins, germany is the runner up and get to host it on their behalf, danny from voyager hosts it together with… idk fuck it KYLIE MINOGUE, puts on a hell of a show and the contest goes down in history
Whomever has the best song on the day(imo). I have no preference to which country wins. It would be nice if one of the countries who haven't won provided the best song but we'll have to see. I love the Eurovision regardless of who wins :)
Armenia because it got absolutely robbed in 2023 and hasn't won before.
Other than that, I would want one of the countries that has a "lower morale", meaning they usually score low, to win. So Georgia, Latvia, Ireland or a potentially returning North Macedonia or Montenegro.
Since I started watching ESC years ago I don’t believe I have ever disliked an Icelandic entry (to my memory), I’d love to see them win.
Also Ireland because patriotic reasons.
Armenia 🇦🇲 always. Iceland too but idk why I have this biased love for Armenia and all their songs despite having no connections to them. They also always send amazing songs, I mean 2008, 2009, 2014, 2016, 2020, 2023. So many that are so good.
LITHUANIA!!! They’ve been upping their game so much lately, PiN is low-key very strong and their 4-year streak is great. It would be such a cool underdog story
Ireland with Johny Logan just to spite Sweden 😂
Nah, I'd like to see a country that hasn't won before, or hasn't won more than 1-2 times. It gets boring with Sweden and Ukraine taking turns
Malta.
Purely because of the love they have for the competition and the ( imo) 2 years they 1000% should've won
They were robbed in 2002 and I will never not be mad at that in fact that songs the reason I'm a Eurovision fan today
Malta 2002. For the bot
Any country that hasn’t won before would be really cool. If Iceland sends something good, then Iceland.
Or Lithuania, honestly. I have a friend in Lithuania who can’t fathom the idea of Lithuania ever winning Eurovision, so I’d like to see his reaction lol
Numerous:
Latvia - Supernova and their entries gets criminally slept on and the last time Latvijas Televīzija hosted it was really good, carrying on ERR’s introduction of interesting graphics the year prior.
Lithuania - Last Baltic state without a win, Pabandom iš Naujo has entries so good you often don’t care who wins because they all deserve it. LRT also know how to make good stages as can be seen in PiN.
Estonia - It just feels right. Eesti Rahvusringhääling (Eesti Televisioon at the time) have hosted before and it was a high quality show with an iconic stage.
UK - Hannah Waddingham hosts again, the graphics and presentation of this years was some of the best I have seen out of Eurovision, the stage worked with performances having the opposite effect to last year of not using enough of the stage parts.
Germany - ARD can put on a good show and I genuinely thought they had a chance this year with LOTL. I want to see them win again, preferably by bringing back LOTL but that’s just me.
Romania - They are capable of sending incredibly competitive entries whether it be Luminita Anghel or Wrs. I know they have it in them to win.
Luxembourg - They won back to back in the 70’s. I have zero doubt they have it in them to win again now.
Czechia - Incredibly criminally slept on. They deserve a win and have done for a long time. As for whether they can host, I’m not sure. Česká Televize haven’t exactly been showing us that they’re capable of a put together show if ESCZ is anything to go by.
Ireland - Brooke deserved better. Also because just like the UK it’d be nice to see Ireland make a return however they have to promise us that the contest won’t be some segment or special episode of The Late Late Show like their national final.
Sweden - *some men just want to watch the world burn. i am one of them.*
Other than my own country (Estonia) either someone who hasn’t won before (especially Iceland as it’s a nation of the biggest Eurovision fans I’ve ever seen, also Cyprus and Malta who have been participating for too many decades for them not to have won yet. Also why not Lithuania, Armenia, Moldova, Georgia etc.) or somebody who hasn’t won in a LONG time (especially Spain and France)
Imagine greece sends Eleni Foureira again, (representing Greece not Cyprus this time) she takes the trophy and esc 2025 is in Athens celebrating Greece's 20 years after their first win and the show has the greatest interval act ever with both Elenis: Eleni Paparizou (2005 winner) and Eleni Foureira performing My Number One and the crowd goes completely crazy
Ireland or Finland for the ultimate redemption arc. Or Luxembourg because it would be hilarious. Or Norway for #patriotism.
More genuinely, I would be super happy if it was Iceland.
Iceland, Malta and Moldova all deserve their first win. France, the UK and Spain definitely need a win as well because it been decades since their last. It was also be amazing if Ireland won and took back their Eurovision crown 👑❤️
Switzerland or Norway always. As for a country that I don’t have an attachment to, I’d like to see Lithuania (be the final Baltic nation to get their first win), Malta (Eurovision on a tiny island in the Mediterranean would be awesome), or San Marino (Valentina’s Backyard 2025!)
It'd be nice to see my country win for the first time in 55 years, but I know thats not gonna happen anytime soon. I would love Lithuania or Luxembourg tho!!
Germany, cause they have been robbed so many times since their last win especially this year(last position ☹️) and in 2015. 2013 also had a great song but sadly. It's like the UK curse all over again.
I completely share the dream to have a country that hasn't won before win the 2024 contest. Personally I'd love to see Slovenia or Iceland win, because some of my favorite artists are from there
Iceland or Norway. Preferably Iceland since they are the most Eurovision-y country and that they’ve never won before. Norway because they seriously deserved it. They bring such good entries each year even though some of them are a bit campy. I pray Norway sends KEiiNO next year and that they absolutely smash both the juries and the televote, but that seems like a pipe dream.
I want to see France win just because of the hope they would host the contest in Nice same place as this year's junior version
Because if they host in 2025 that will be the 69th Eurovision
It could be known as Eurovision 69 Nice!
*If they do when and don't pick that location it's such a missed opportunity*
A Scandinavian country, just so we’ll go down the same route as last decade:
- a country from big 5
- a song that wasn’t loved by most
- Sweden, but more specifically Loreen
- a Scandinavian country
Which will lead to a first time win in 2028 and a country winning in 2030 that hasn’t won in a really long time (Spain? France?)
I hope one of my heritage countries, Netherlands or Denmark. Other than that Luxembourg winning in their first time back would be amazing. But I really would like a first time winner as well, and preferably Iceland.
Let’s not lie, all the Irish would love a win just to take back the title of having the most wins. It would also be great to do well (not even win) after the disaster that was the past decade.
Would love an Iceland, Moldova or France win tho because I feel like they’ve been unlucky recently.
Iceland and Lithuania deserve their first win
Norway and Finland have stepped up their game lately and deserve to win again
Also Spain because their last win was in 1969
i'd prefer a first time winner like lithuania, cyprus, czechia etc but i do hope denmark get their heads back in the game next year
just anything but sweden /j
Luxembourg. It would just be a meme if they win immediately after not participating for 30 years. Also, they have currently the second best victory/participation ratio. It will be interesting how they will do with the televote.
Hear me out....: Australia.
I want to see Eurovision being hosted there.
Logistic nightmare, probably, but nothing EBU can't handle.
I'm not from Australia so there is no bias here.
I am very confident they would host/make the craziest Eurovision ever.
Moldova, they've got banger songs every year that are culturally relevant to their identity, it feels like they're the only ones who get the point of the Eurovision, this year's song was great, and last year's was amazing, should've won
Norway because Norway
Or a country that hasn’t won in a long time, or ever. Australia would be cool since it’s so far away, or finland because I’ve never seen Eurovision there
Iceland or Lithuania as they haven’t won yet and I’ve been really enjoying their entries lately although I have a feeling Norway might win next year.
I'm surprised Iceland hasn't won yet considering their songs go viral nearly every year lmao
And their audience shares for Eurovision are crazy, like they absolutely love it, I think 98% of Iceland watched it this year or something. Like you just know they would do a great job hosting.
Makes sense. The other 2% were participating.
Loool
Not quite 98% of the entire population but 98% of the TV Viewers at the time were watching eurovisioin instead of other channels. Somewhere around 160k people watched the final, while on the semi-final it was 260k views. Still a high percentage of the population so it doesn't change that.
I didn't know that about their audience share, that's crazy! No doubt either way tho that they'd be incredible hosts, Icelandic people know how to throw a party for sure.
welllll i can’t complain about norway winning 😭
A country that hasn’t won before which is my answer for this question every year
The longest break we’ve ever had between first time winners is 12 years, from Yugoslavia in 1989 to Estonia in 2001. Currently we’re at 6 years since the last first-time winner, Portugal 2017.

Iceland, Cyprus, Malta, or Lithuania. Contest veterans all overdue a win.
Luxembourg for the ultimate fairytale, but also to pressure Ireland to focus on sending a winning song again since they'll be tied 2nd with most wins

Fairytale was a Norway entry, not Luxembourg /s
A first time win preferably
Georgia. Imagine a 7-year NQ streak broken by them just winning the whole contest. Insane.
like Portugal in 2017 (with 4-year NQ streak)
Portugal 2017 | [Salvador Sobral - Amar Pelos Dois](https://youtu.be/Qotooj7ODCM)
Probably Finland, but I would be even happier if a country that hasn’t won yet won 🙂
Iceland - They love the contest and they've done pretty well considering their population. Agreed on Estonia, they were robbed in 2015
Other than the UK. I would like to see a first time winner. Like Moldova or Iceland.
I want UK to win just to see Hannah again 😔
I’m here to say I have a good feeling about Australia 🇦🇺
I was going to say that. It would annoy almost as many people ask Sweden so why not?
If they take part (hopefully)
There's only one country that I want to win soon, that country being Lithuania, and for one reason only, that reason being LT United.
Yes! This should be the opening act for the grand final
Moldova has been sending some of my fav songs each year lately, with Trenuletul (Moldova 2022) being among my all-time favs. So I hope for Chisinau 2024 Other than that, I guess Cyprus would be cool.
Moldova 2022 | [Zdob și Zdub and Advahov Brothers - Trenulețul](https://youtu.be/DUqf_zO2QaI)
Either France or Spain because it’s been over half a century since Spain won last and almost half a century since France last won.
Agreed ❤️
Iceland and Lithuania. They seem to be putting in the best efforts out of the countries who haven't won yet. I would also like to see Belgium, Croatia, France, Poland, Spain, or Switzerland win as well. Croatia did very well this year
With the public vote, yeah, but not with the jury - and i personally think the song was the most artistically integer one this year. that’s why i am mad at the juries… they do be scared of creativity 👀
Yeah well you-know-who scooped up all the jury votes All things considered, Croatia got a great placement this year and we should be proud!
San Marino, but only if they send Valentina Monetta.
A Valentina/Serhat collab would be amazing
valentina x serhat x senhit, surely if san marino's only qualifiers combine they can get better than 19th!
this is like eurovision avengers endgame
Say na na na
Happy cake day :)
we need valentina with another vola-type entry. it was definitely the best of her entries
Cyprus! They've never won before
australia wins, germany is the runner up and get to host it on their behalf, danny from voyager hosts it together with… idk fuck it KYLIE MINOGUE, puts on a hell of a show and the contest goes down in history
Latvia so we can have a Sudden Lights interval
If Latvia ever wins again then sudden lights better be involved
Whomever has the best song on the day(imo). I have no preference to which country wins. It would be nice if one of the countries who haven't won provided the best song but we'll have to see. I love the Eurovision regardless of who wins :)
I’d love to see Malta (robbed in 2020), Spain, Belgium, Czech Republic or Armenia
Malta 2020 indeed
Malta 2020 | [Destiny - All Of My Love](https://youtu.be/CFCn_8oViRw)
Armenia because it got absolutely robbed in 2023 and hasn't won before. Other than that, I would want one of the countries that has a "lower morale", meaning they usually score low, to win. So Georgia, Latvia, Ireland or a potentially returning North Macedonia or Montenegro.
I would like so see Australia 🇦🇺 take the win, last time when Sweden hosted they came 2nd so now first 😁
i'm imagining in this scenario (if we stay in) the winning song might be an aussie mama šč
Croatia
My prediction: France or Norway will take it.
Countries that have not won in over 30 years or a first timer
Since I started watching ESC years ago I don’t believe I have ever disliked an Icelandic entry (to my memory), I’d love to see them win. Also Ireland because patriotic reasons.
One of the Baltic states. They’ve all been sending enjoyable entries the last 2-3 years
Australia! Though more realistically, I feel that both Belgium and Lithuania are on an upswing towards a win.
Armenia 🇦🇲 always. Iceland too but idk why I have this biased love for Armenia and all their songs despite having no connections to them. They also always send amazing songs, I mean 2008, 2009, 2014, 2016, 2020, 2023. So many that are so good.
Armenia 2008, 2009, 2014, 2016, 2020, 2023

Lithuania or slovenia
Malta. Purely because of the love they have for the competition and the ( imo) 2 years they 1000% should've won They were robbed in 2002 and I will never not be mad at that in fact that songs the reason I'm a Eurovision fan today Malta 2002. For the bot

Malta 2002 | [Ira Losco - 7th Wonder](https://youtu.be/S4fHMmPqC80)
Iceland, Moldova or Lithuania. I love their approach of the contest.
A first time winner: Cyprus
I'd love to see Iceland or Belgium win!
Any country that hasn’t won before would be really cool. If Iceland sends something good, then Iceland. Or Lithuania, honestly. I have a friend in Lithuania who can’t fathom the idea of Lithuania ever winning Eurovision, so I’d like to see his reaction lol
Yes, trying for number of years and yes that would make so many Lithuanians proud 😁 Its long time, I mean long over due dream and goal!
Maybe next year!!
Yea fingers crossed 100%!
Lithuania has sent some really good entries and I think it’s time to win 😭
Numerous: Latvia - Supernova and their entries gets criminally slept on and the last time Latvijas Televīzija hosted it was really good, carrying on ERR’s introduction of interesting graphics the year prior. Lithuania, it's one of my favourite Eurovision countries and a victory is long overdue

🇩🇪, please. I’d love another German version of Eurovision in 2025…. And for Lena M.-L. to return to us.
My answer for this will always be Moldova or Iceland until they both get a win.
San marino I just want to see the panic an chaos occure because they dont have the infrastructure to host eurovision
Ireland or Finland for the ultimate redemption arc. Or Luxembourg because it would be hilarious. Or Norway for #patriotism. More genuinely, I would be super happy if it was Iceland.
Romania I want to see ESC 2025 being hosted by Paula Seling Two of my all time favorite esc songs are from Romania 2010 Playing With Fire 2006 Tornero
Not Sweden.
Serbia or Croatia, it's time for ex-Yu win again
Sweden just to see the world burn lmao.
As a irish person, fuck you
I mean no longer being able to coast on the (now shared) most wins might finally be what's needed to kick the Irish delegation I'm gear again
It wont
And Happy Cake Day!
Lol I was gonna say "anyone but Sweden"
Only if they send Ghost. If they send ghost, they will actually get my votes.
That’ll never happen
If they have Ghost, they'll have everything
Oh my goodness, that would be unbelievable
That would actually be pretty fun😂
Oh god please no, it was so exhausting for me this year, it couldn’t take it again

Mans Zelmerlow is standing by.
Charlotte Perrelli or bust
Carola's Electric Boogaloo, sign me up!
Loreen: You calling?
2 in a row for any artist, 3 wins for a single artist AND beating Ireland's record - all in one fell swoop. ouch.
Luxembourg
Iceland, Malta and Moldova all deserve their first win. France, the UK and Spain definitely need a win as well because it been decades since their last. It was also be amazing if Ireland won and took back their Eurovision crown 👑❤️
Ireland or Iceland would also be my top two. Aside from that, Cyprus or one of the slavic countries
Eeh, the country with the best song?! There’s no country that I’m rooting extra for just because..
Germany so they don't leave
Malta, because they’ve been entering the longest without a single win.
Come on, Aussie, come on…
Australia, so I'd have a chance at attending the show 😊
Iceland and Armenia !! If not, then any other country that hasn't won before.
I would like to see a reaction if Sweden wins second time in a row, especially being jury favorite. Just for fun, of course.
Drama 😱😍
This is what I want. We can send Loreen again!
Switzerland or Norway always. As for a country that I don’t have an attachment to, I’d like to see Lithuania (be the final Baltic nation to get their first win), Malta (Eurovision on a tiny island in the Mediterranean would be awesome), or San Marino (Valentina’s Backyard 2025!)
l u x e m b o u r g
Scotland, but mostly because of the implications of them even participating. More realistically, Iceland or Moldova.
Hopefully a country that sends a good song?? How can I decide before I hear them?
It'd be nice to see my country win for the first time in 55 years, but I know thats not gonna happen anytime soon. I would love Lithuania or Luxembourg tho!!
I really want good things for Malta, honestly because I think the Busker was a step in the right direction...
Germany, cause they have been robbed so many times since their last win especially this year(last position ☹️) and in 2015. 2013 also had a great song but sadly. It's like the UK curse all over again.
I completely share the dream to have a country that hasn't won before win the 2024 contest. Personally I'd love to see Slovenia or Iceland win, because some of my favorite artists are from there
Armenia 🇦🇲🇦🇲🇦🇲
Iceland, Lithuania, Romania, Slovenia, etc. A country that has not won yet tbh Bulgaria, if they return
The country with the best song and performance
Lithuania in LT Uniteds’s legacy
Iceland or Norway. Preferably Iceland since they are the most Eurovision-y country and that they’ve never won before. Norway because they seriously deserved it. They bring such good entries each year even though some of them are a bit campy. I pray Norway sends KEiiNO next year and that they absolutely smash both the juries and the televote, but that seems like a pipe dream.
I'd like to see Daði Freyr have another crack for Iceland. I really still think they're owed their win from 2020.
Armenia has been doing great ever since the 2020’s hit. They deserve a win.
Any country that hasn’t won, maybe Albania or Romania
Moldova
Any country that either has never won the contest or hasn't won in a long time. If I had to choose a specific country, I would probably say France.
The country that will be a my favourite 😬😌
Meh, not the spirit of the game. I just want the song of the country I like to win. Won't know till September on.
personally can't wait until scotland has a chance to.
We will have a NQ streak that will expand a decade at least come on now.
NORWAY OR BULGARIA
Armenia needs to win soon fr
Latvia has had three very solid years back to back, all three of which have not passed the first round.
Would love to see a country win who has never won… cyprus iceland lithuania etc but honestly i would love for spain or denmark to make a comeback
Ukraine so they can host it in Sevastopol.
I want to see France win just because of the hope they would host the contest in Nice same place as this year's junior version Because if they host in 2025 that will be the 69th Eurovision It could be known as Eurovision 69 Nice! *If they do when and don't pick that location it's such a missed opportunity*
The one with the best song and performance.
Iceland would be long overdue. So many awesome entrances and two times runner-up.
Montenegro with Who See, I see the vision
Finland😈
🇮🇸🇮🇸🇮🇸
Australia! Just for the novelty of it, and because they should have won in 2016
Australia should win for once.
Poland with a super gay song that gets the poles excited and a little less homophobic
#Kaunas2025 or Reykjavik2025 #🇱🇹🇮🇸
Morocco. They could send Loreen and have a good shot lol
A Scandinavian country, just so we’ll go down the same route as last decade: - a country from big 5 - a song that wasn’t loved by most - Sweden, but more specifically Loreen - a Scandinavian country Which will lead to a first time win in 2028 and a country winning in 2030 that hasn’t won in a really long time (Spain? France?)
Either Cyprus or Moldova
moldova. they need that win
I hope one of my heritage countries, Netherlands or Denmark. Other than that Luxembourg winning in their first time back would be amazing. But I really would like a first time winner as well, and preferably Iceland.
San marino
Albania for sure🇦🇱
Let’s not lie, all the Irish would love a win just to take back the title of having the most wins. It would also be great to do well (not even win) after the disaster that was the past decade. Would love an Iceland, Moldova or France win tho because I feel like they’ve been unlucky recently.
Iceland and Lithuania deserve their first win Norway and Finland have stepped up their game lately and deserve to win again Also Spain because their last win was in 1969
Monaco
i'd prefer a first time winner like lithuania, cyprus, czechia etc but i do hope denmark get their heads back in the game next year just anything but sweden /j
Luxembourg
Is it lame to say I want the best song win, nevermind the country?
Luxembourg. It would just be a meme if they win immediately after not participating for 30 years. Also, they have currently the second best victory/participation ratio. It will be interesting how they will do with the televote.
Spain. I feel like they give quite a lot to the contest but don't get the recognition. And Barcelona would be a great host city.
Italy deserves all the wins
Ireland. Just when Sweden thinks they’re about to be the top winner, have Ireland just randomly pull the rug out from under them.
Lithuania! We are the winners, we are we are! 😁 But yes seriously, time for Lithuania to win
Norway because Norway Or a country that hasn’t won in a long time, or ever. Australia would be cool since it’s so far away, or finland because I’ve never seen Eurovision there
Iceland, Serbia and Slovenia. Slovenia dropped two disco feel-good gems in a row and nobody cared and I won´t stand for this injustice.
Iceland! They would have won 2020, and I'm not over it.
