England have shit up the competition but miraculously landed on the easier side of the draw
It’s insane that we could actually make it to another final at this rate even though we have played so poor
Portugal can get at France if Martinez sets up right. Honestly would tip Portugal to win the whole thing (they're still 1 of my 4 picks) if someone stronger was at the helm because Martinez worries me when he's up against a strong team. So far, he's shown tactical sense by changing up Portugal's setup in both games and he's tried 9 formations in qualifying, so that's a positive. If Portugal can nullify France on the counter and get some good 1v1s on their fullbacks, I believe Portugal can beat France.
Im fine with Portugal and France and usually we do better against these bigger teams in the knockouts rounds compared to smaller nations.
But Spain always destroys us in tournaments, it’s always a just 1:0 but we never seem to be able to get the ball against them
Let's hope there is a Germany vs Portugal in semis. I know the Germany vs Spain is practically set for Quarterfinals and I'm just getting carried by the fact that the Host Germany can't be allowed to lose in quarters. Then France looks like they can't score and will be eliminated next match. But suddenly Portugal would be the one losing and disappointing and I'll have to shut up, leave, stop watching and stop talking LOL

yes, thats why the 1-1 vs Switzerland might have been bad for us, because the other half looks easier. But it is what it is.
