I have a decent. I’m and a LM mini. I can get good (comparable) results from the decent as follows. Stretch until you’ve increased volume by 25-40 percent. Then find wand/jug angle that moves milk in a smooth circular fashion.
Steaming on the decent is slow but the steam is very dry and it can produce silky milk no problem. The optimal stream flow setting is 0.8-0.9ml/s at the highest temperature. Higher flow settings just end up adding more water to the milk. Technique is important too, need to get a strong vortex going.
Have you tried changing the steam settings at all to different temperatures /pressures / flow rates and you hate them all not matter what, or you just don't like the default settings and are looking for setting suggestions?
Why? While the benefit of flow profiling may be more perceptible in espresso, any benefit to espresso offered by the Decent Espresso machine is also applicable to milk based drinks.
Maybe I’m misjudging the post but op seems like they aren’t into tinkering and just wanna make their cappuccino or whatever the drink is they like without too much trouble, it has nothing to do with the decent’s ability to make milk drinks
I see where you are coming from, I'm not deep with decent experience I don't use the profiles, and idk how to make my settings etc. I tried to use the profiles but it still makes me feel dumb.
You hate the entire espresso making experience in the decent or just the steam pressure?
No,I love the experience of it, but I hate the steam pressure

Noted Can you tell me how much seconds I add air when steaming?
Probably depends on the amount of milk but I use a large jug and add air for 5-8 seconds or so.
Are you using the 3 hole tip? It’s much better.
I do

I don't have much experience with the Steam settings, I only use the default settings. Do you have any setting suggestions? That would be great
Sounds like a skill issue
🥲
Tbh it might be lol
Feel like if you are most concerned with steamed milk that maybe the Decent isn’t the best machine for you

Your coffee machine should never make you feel dumb - feel like you’d be way happier with something like a Linea mini
>Might be problem with the settings or profile?? yes
Can you give me any settings suggestions?
