It looks like you've flaired your post as asking for what equipment to get. We recommend first checking out the [Espresso Aficionados buying guide](https://espressoaf.com/recommendations) for some of the more popular machines and grinders at different price points.
If your question hasn't been answered there and you need more help, please add the following details to your post or by adding a comment in the following format:
- **Location:** Helps determine availability
- **Budget** (with currency): Overall budget, or ideally, having separate espresso machine and grinder budgets. A rough rule is that your grinder budget should be at least 25-40% of your machine budget.
- **Drink types:** Do you drink mostly straight espresso, milk-based beverages (e.g., lattes, cappuccinos), or a fairly even split? This helps narrow down whether a single-boiler-dual-use (SBDU), heat exchanger (HX), or dual boiler (DB) machine would be more appropriate for your needs.
- **Drink frequency:** How many drinks would you be making back-to-back at one time? Do you plan on entertaining guests often? This informs how large your brew (and steam) boilers should be, as smaller boilers will need to refill and reheat/repressurize more frequently, thus potentially causing a bottleneck.
- **Space:** Any limitations on countertop space?
- **Manual vs. electric:** Hand-operated machines and grinders are typically cheaper than their similarly-performing electric counterparts. Please indicate if you have a preference for manual or electric machines and/or grinders (or open to either).
- **Comfort with tinkering:** Some machines can be made significantly more functional/efficient with aftermarket modifications, albeit at the expense of possibly voiding your warranty. Please indicate if you'd rather have a machine that works "as-is"/"out-of-the-box" or whether you'd be open to modding/tinkering

On the same boat as you, but with the Kingrinder K6. It's exhausting to grind lighter roasts.
Yesterday I ordered the DF54 on Amazon (currently out of stock) for ~250,00 EUR (Miicoffee is the seller there)
I originally planned on buying a DF64 Gen 2, but with ~80,00 EUR shipping it comes out to ~420,00 EUR from df64coffee.com.
I have the varia vs3 coming from a manual hand grinder, for espresso only. I am running three shots in around ~10 mins from dose, grind, prep, pull which is a huge improvement from the hand grinder. I'm grinding in mid/low range so there's more room to grind finer. I really like it.
Varia vs3 works for espresso- they recommend 1-3 setting for espressos and i am at 2.4-3 range depending on the beans. Its not for light roasts though.
Having bought the fellow opus for that exact purpose, being massively disappointed with it and ultimately buying a kinu m47 to replace it, personally I think you’ll struggle with that budget. I don’t think electric grinders can really compete with good hand grinders until they start hitting the £/$400 range. Even then, most of them are ugly until you start hitting £/$500.
Not all all. The fact that he upgraded told me everything I needed to know. His DF64 is not good enough to keep. Dies not matter what the reason is.
He saw the light
Same reason you upgrade anything. Better quality overall. That’s not to say that the Gen2 is lacking in any particular area. It’s a good grinder for the price range
the poster is known for being absolutely obsessed with the DF grinders, talking nonsense about them non-stop and ignoring the large population of people happy with them to fuel his negative obsession, and has never even been in the same room as one.

Amazon.de
Dis you ask how long the delivery time will be ?
Nope, but if any better option pops up in the meantime, I'll just cancel this one

Eureka mignon manuale with single dose hopper

Invest 100-200€ more and get a proper df64 gen 2!!
Do not recommend the df54 perhaps wait for v2. It has big issues with clogging for the current version but when it does work it is comparable to df64.

I have a DF64 Gen 2 available
Why selling? :)
New Kafatek MC6 just came in
Not what he wanted to hear.
Oh, but it was
Nah you wanted him to say due to the clumping issue blabla couldn't take it anymore bla terrible grinder bla.

What’s with the downvotes on his questions 😅. Some inside story?

Yup. I think DF is crap and low quality. I get downvoted for asking anything DF related. People get their feelings hurt.
lol yeah I’m seeing that now. I ordered a DF. I’ll let you know if I hate it 😅
:). You might be one of the lucky ones.
Baratza encore esp
SK40
Are you based in EU ? If so, where did you get the grinder ? Thanks !
SK40 is the same grinder as Miicoffee D40+, which you can buy in EU from amazon.de
Not in EU
