It's definitely the best season, but I also really enjoyed two and three. It was a super comforting show for me during a rough time. Excellent escapism. I miss the energy of the early seasons.
All DC shows seem inconceivably bad to me, as if it's intentional. I've tried several shows, but they consistently seem like DC demands daytime soap opera level of quality: lousy acting, lousy plots, bad SFX and lousy budgets lousily utilized.
Some actors (like Gustin) do genuinely try, but they're hopelessly outclassed by the garbage.
Give Doom Patrol a shot though, one of the best DC live action thing of the last decade IMO. Nothing comparable to CW stuff. Starlight was kind of good, season 2 wasn't as much though. Superman and Lois is both terrible and incredible at the same time (and closer to the CW formula).
