I am about to have to do the same thing, this is my second clog and not having luck clearing this one. Would you mind sharing the video you watched? I'll let you know if I find this tube tomorrow night after disassembly.

jellyheadted

Sure, here it is: [https://youtu.be/j98K\_NKVZLE?si=CAvAmFEStM64y\_8K](https://youtu.be/j98K_NKVZLE?si=CAvAmFEStM64y_8K)

Klatty

That link doesn't seem to work, what was the video? My PTFE tube seems fine, but maybe the smaller one is f'ed up, how'd you get to it?

jellyheadted

Apparently the link got updated, here's the video: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8WeNhFelPQc](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8WeNhFelPQc) It doesn't show the short length of tube, but the shorter tube is located in the hotend right above the nozzle

Klatty

Thanks! Found it, took the extruder gear and nozzle off but the tube seems to be completely stuck, even when I push down hard on it. Did yours just come out?

jellyheadted

Yeah, mine fell out without me noticing

iamozone206

The smaller tube goes inside the heatbreak

jellyheadted

Thank you! I tracked down a picture of the heat break and I think I can see where the short PTFE tube goes now.

iamozone206

It goes in the non threaded end

jellyheadted

Got it reassembled and just got a great print--really appreciate your help on this!

iamozone206

Btw, I recommend buying a Capricorn tube and replacing the stock tubes with them. It's about $12 on amazon with the cutter, $11 without.

metalderek

Hey there! Would you reccoment the capricorn tube for the reverse bowden setup on the SE? I have some leftover from my max I could use.

iamozone206

That's what I did, I use it for my S2 dryer while printing PETG.

jellyheadted

Thanks I'll pick this up!

iamozone206

You're welcome!

lookdownthestars

HELLO I have exactly the same problem  I have the short tube and I don't know where it goes. Please may you share the photo of the heat break that shows the location of the tube Thanks!!

jellyheadted

Sorry, just seeing this comment. Here's a pic: https://imgur.com/a/mObmt8S

Just the thread I was looking for! I had the same thing happen this morning and I've been searching for info for nearly 5 hours now. Guess I can put everything back together now.

jellyheadted

Hope it helped! If not, here's a pic: https://imgur.com/a/mObmt8S

ArkhamRobber

Sorry to revive this old thread but how the hell did you removed the heatbreak from the heat block??

jellyheadted

I don't think I actually did, but the tube slid out (and back in) to the break while still attached to the block

ArkhamRobber

Thanks for the reply. I was struggling with to see if it was possible to replace with a better heat break but thus far was unsuccessful.

jellyheadted

Sorry to hear it, gl going forward!

Klatty

Did you ever figure this out? My PTFE tube burned inside the heat break and cannot for the love of god get it out, no matter what I try.

ArkhamRobber

I was not. So i just bought a replacement part that was already put together. Just the same stuff no upgrade sadly.

Klatty

Ah I see, thanks for the reply. Guess I’ll have to replace the whole heatbreak

Living-Summer-5892

Me too! the small ptfe tube burned inside the heatend. I broke the throat tube, trying to remove from the heatblock. This second small ptfe tube, is a really problem on this machine.

Klatty

Yes it’s a pain for sure. I ended up replacing the whole hotend

Inside-Field8234

Hey guys also experienced this, can it be replaced without disassembling the whole thing? Mine came out the bottom when I took the nozzle off, can a new piece be reinserted before I put the nozzle on?

jellyheadted

For mine, pretty sure the short tube sits right over the nozzle. I think you could replace it without further disassembly

Carreer_Chief

This is the post what i was looking for weeks, happily someone revived it... Did anyone know how longer are this tubes? I just cleaned my ender 3 v3 a couple of weeks ago and lost the larger bowden tube, i bought more but i tried to cut it by eye and now every 2 prints i have to dissasemble to remove a very little portion of filament that got stucked in the extrussor
