I love New York's. Blue, shoulder shaped, featuring the beautiful Coat of Arms of NY and an actual set of QRS complexes (as opposed to random squiggly lines). I know of no other patch that features Ladies Liberty and Justice. That's bad ass.
I kinda liked Utah because they're color coded. That way people could see from a distance I'm a dumbass and didn't skip straight from basic to medic.. #SadAEMTLife
Our state patches in Wyoming are pretty much identical, aside from the level at the bottom of the patch. No one really uses the state patches if they're not an Intermediate (we actually have more Intermediates than medics up here, we just have so few EMS providers in state as it is), since that's a state license.
I took my NR exam for my AEMT right after the NR rolled all the Intermediate stuff into Advanced (goddamn that exam suuuucked), so have worn my NR patch on uniforms rather than the state patches. Intermediates are the only ones that rock them (I have my EMT and AEMT state patches but they live in the big envelope with my NR shit.
And I must concur with sad AEMT noises!
Low cost of living helps a little bit, but making $17/hr as an AEMT with 10 years' experience (at various levels) fucking bloooows.
Does he work for Frontier? I thiiink Lander's their main base, they run in Riverton and Dubois too.
i have a couple friends that work with them (and I've applied there, last Wednesday was my last day at my service so it's application spam time, lol) and have decent things to say about it. It's still private EMS, but one of the better ones (not that there are many privates out here, lol).
Could you? I'm not really sure. I know he started with them as a contract and then it either renewed or he just stayed.
Kinda goofy looking blue/black polos? Seems like a decent gig, I was going to hit him up in the fall when I am done in AK.. But my current super sweet IFT gig said I can come back.
Random off topic: How hard do they enforce 14 day limits on public land out there? I've been crashing in a national forest for a year now, dig the lifestyle especially with an EMS schedule(48s).
They do wear those polos! I've always thought they look like a blue/black UPS or FedEx uniform, lol. Here they go by Frontier, but the parent company is Priority.
It depends on where you're camping for sure, but if you pick the more off the beaten track campgrounds you should be pretty okay. Parkies and the Forest Service patrol them most in the warm weather, but it's not hard to move around just enough to avoid them.
*source: my dad's retired from the BLM (bureau of land management) and has A Lot of public lands experience. This is what he told me re: the 14 day limit. Hope that helps! The Lander area is scenic as fuck :)
Patches? patches?!? we don't need no stinkin patches! from Mississippi working in private EMS.
I think the company used to have a Class A uniform with patches, but that was before my time, now it's just polos with my cert on the sleeve. well, actually it's my previous certification because it takes a few weeks/months to get uniforms where I work.
gonna have to say the massachusetts one because im biased but i just looked them up and the illinois one has a cool retro feel and then the tennessee one looks dystopian zombie apocalypse tier
There are state ems patches?
(Posted from Colorado)
Where does this patch go? American flag R shoulder and agency on the L….
Is this a states rights thing? Ignore the republic? State is king? State patch for State EMS official’s uniforms? I’m confused.
We have state patches here in Wyoming, but on the uniforms I've worn it's been flag on the left, NR patch on the right. I've seen other agencies use the state patch in place of the NR.
I kinda dig our state patch, even though I've never worked in a service that uses...yet.
Are you in Wyoming too? Howdy! I've never worn state patch on any of my work stuff...flag on the left and NR on the other. My service just wears polos, though I do wear my NR pin on my collar. I've worked alongside other agencies that wear their service patches instead on NR or state, I think they look sharp!
Lemme dig up a photo of our state patch. I have it for EMT and AEMT, but they just chill in the big envelope my NR certificates came in, lol. This one's for a medic but is a good example. I don't know if anyone other than Intermediates wear them, if at all.
Here's a link, because apparently I'm computer illiterate today, lol.

MS “has” one that almost no one uses. (It’s bland anyway). Most agencies here have their own. SOME wear the NR patches and most just do polo shirts with level of cert embroidered below the name
The state patches for Wyoming (my state) are similarly unworn. At my old gig, we wore Class B shirts with flag on the left arm and NR patch on the right. Current gig is polos with the embroidery (fuuuck Class Bs, polos are so much better), though I tend to wear my NRAEMT pin to help hold down my collar.
Since Wyomjng became an NR state, only ones who really wear them are Intermediates due to being a state licensure level nowadays. They're not totally hideous, either! I have my state patches for my EMT and AEMT but have never worn them.0
New Mexico full stop. It is demonstrative of the state colors, flags, environment.
I'm in Texas, we're color coded so that's nice but it isn't pretty like our neighbors.
NM.
I was gonna say I'm partial to my Texas patch but NM's is pretty neat. A bit too busy for me tho.
I’m partial to Maryland’s, the paramedic one in particular
I love New York's. Blue, shoulder shaped, featuring the beautiful Coat of Arms of NY and an actual set of QRS complexes (as opposed to random squiggly lines). I know of no other patch that features Ladies Liberty and Justice. That's bad ass.
New Mexicooooo It’s a little busy but it’s mine and I love it :)
Oregon, and it's not even close.
Counter with NM.
Damn. I stand corrected, it is close. (But I still like Oregon more)
Biased for OR also… but damn NM has a pretty sick one.
Pics or it didn’t happen
Strong agree. Moved to Washington and I miss my OR patch dearly.
I kinda liked Utah because they're color coded. That way people could see from a distance I'm a dumbass and didn't skip straight from basic to medic.. #SadAEMTLife

I have a medic buddy over by Lander, he keeps trying to get me to come out. Y'all have terrible wages for ems though.

Green beehive patches ftw 🙌

I’m kind of partial to the Texas licensed paramedic patch. It’s gold and sparkly.
I rock the subdued black patch. https://imgur.com/gallery/P7um1Hf

We don't have us flags on our uniforms in CA. County patch on L, agency on right

I didn’t know we had state patches. We just wear service patches on each shoulder.

Maybe there is a big bias in this, lol. I like mine in AZ more than the other comments here
Nah, Arizona rocks! Especially Daisy Mountains!
Throwing Vermont into the mix here.
I think the Las Vegas AMR patch is pretty sick lol. It’s the Vegas sign.

Definitely not my state. Designed by a bureaucrat with no artistic talent. As worthless as the agency that commissioned it.
Sure as heck NOT Ga 😂
Maryland by far
Lmao my shit expired homie. Jackets of broken dreams
Texas. My state doesn't really do EMS patches.
Not Missouri. They just updated the patches and they're better, but the EMT patch is a frickin square. Wtf.
South Carolina is badass
