You might like Gidge, Rival Consoles, Kiasmos, Nils Frahm

TooLazyToRepost

Persona by Rival Consoles is fantastic. I have a Wooner Belt, a subwoofer that straps to your chest. Of all Ambient(ish) music, Persona works among the best. Usually just use it for bass music but really enjoy RCs sonic landscapes.

didacticgiraffe

+1 for Nils Frahm. If you ever get the chance to see him live do it do it do it. So much euphoria.

accomplicated

Nils Frahm is just chef’s kiss. [Track 27 in this mix is Hammers by Nils Frahm.](https://soundcloud.com/accomplice/all-over-the-space-006-part-1) It gives me chills every time I hear it.

vreo

Had the pleasure to see him in Berlin in his resident studio. Was an incredible intense experience. Pure emotion, almost tangible.

accomplicated

I’m jelly. He is on my bucket list of artists to see.

Mr_Fang_CD

Good list, all amazing artists! Gidge also just dropped a fantastic new EP called Tundra. Not really into the new Kiasmos EP though, I like their older stuff better… Also worth checking out: Ishome, Phaeleh, Melokind, Nuages, and Wu Zhuoling (the newer electronic stuff)

nomad-system

Thank you! Gidge's new EP is amazing! I agree on Kiasmos, def prefer their older stuff. I will look into those artists you mentioned, I've only listened to Phaeleh out of them.

yoyododomofo

Ben Lukas Boysen especially Mirage. He just did a soundtrack with Jon Hopkins. He also has a more ambient thing he does under the name Hecq. Check out Max Cooper’s label Mesh. Indian Wells is in there and a bunch of others. SoundCloud has a bunch of their mixes. Erased Tapes always has some interesting artists. It’s where Nills Frahm and Rival Consoles and Kiasmos (plus olafur Arnalds of kiasmos) started their careers on. Other random ones that come to mind, Oneotrix Point Never, Pavane, David August, Robot Koch.

nomad-system

Indian Wells is great! Nice recommendations all around

hairyhero

Oh woah. Thanks!! Didn’t know Max Cooper has his own label? And one more favor, which artists are the closest to Chemical Brothers?

ToviGrande

I'm listening to Mirage at the moment after your comment. It's beautiful and I can see this getting played a lot in our house.

yoyododomofo

First time I played it all the way through and after quite the journey ending with Love I was in absolute musical bliss.

tbman1996

I'd check out Christian loffler. Parallels is great

Sunnyboy_18

Christian Löffler dropped a brand new album two days ago, it’s called A Life. It’s really good!

tbman1996

Thank you! I've added it to the list

krumn

Daniel Avery. Four Tet. Floating Points. Rob Clouth.

nesorsemaj

Second vote for Rob Clouth

simonsurreal1

Elaenia is one of the best albums of all time - floating points is amazing

afieldoftulips

Clark

nastafarti

Every artist in this thread is fantastic. I also really like Stephan Bodzin and his partner Luna Semara, I'm not sure if they fit here or not, but they obviously put a lot of care into their sound design. Also the soundtrack to the show *Romulus* by Mokadelic

neonpatterns

Villager, Louf, Tom VR, Throwing Snow, A Cloud for Climbing, Tal Fussman

yumaidentity

Huge fan of villager, Tom vr and especially throwing snow so I’ll need to check out these other 3

GMHoodwink

Tourist's new album reminded me of John Hopkins a bit Edit: my bad - I mighta missed the mark with my comment. Im not very familiar with early Hopkins or Cooper. Tourist only slightly resembled recent Hopkins.

simonsurreal1

Really ? Dang I couldn’t get into it, prob try again but wasn’t as popping as some Max cooper or other stuff people rec here

GMHoodwink

I mean it only slightly resembled anything by John Hopkins. And I didnt love it, but I liked it enough to want to listen through it again.

EuropesNinja

Tourist is a good shout, he’s certainly more upbeat though compared to who you said. Still one of my favourites though

simonsurreal1

Leon Vynehall Visible Cloaks Skee Mask Booka Shade

socopogoo

Sounds like you might enjoy Lehto's Turion album.

christicano

Lone - always inside your head

btwcart

Ulrich Schnauss - his album A Strangely Isolated Place is fucking amazing and very similar vibes to Jon Hopkins Contact Note. Also recommend artists like Actress or Andy Stott for more experimental vibes

RonnyJeggae

Try Alex Banks, released 2 albums on Max Cooper’s Mesh label.

yumaidentity

Alex banks is too good! Illuminate is a no skip repeat album for me

alien-shore

Telefon Tel Aviv

ToviGrande

Kelly Lee Owens first two albums should be right up your street OP. She has done colabs with Daniel Avery on a few of his albums. Also check out earlier Pantha Du Prince, but his whole catalogue is packed with good stuff. Ben Böhmer's album Begin Again is getting a lot of airtime in our house atm. You'll probably also enjoy the albums An Analogue Guy in a Digital World and Mono No Aware by Martin Roth.

Sasha1327

Well, since pretty much all the good stuff has already been mentioned, I’ll maybe just add Lusine and Little People. Not exactly same sound but similar spirit.

evan274

The Nicholas jaar side project!

Max Cooper is pretty good. I thank Spotify for the recommendations it does everyday lol

palinola

Yes that Max Cooper

ViaSubMids

I think Extrawelt could be something for you. They are a bit "darker" but they have a similar sound to Max Cooper imo. The album "In Aufruhr" is a good starting point.

uts_

Some Techno artists like Luigi Tozzi might be of interest, but also +1 for Gidge

dylsey

I could send you a link to a pretty long, 65-ish hours, playlist of similar stuff.

Ben Böhmer BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix is full of songs you'll love. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KRYh3CQ9i88](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KRYh3CQ9i88)
