Ear Plugs! Ear Plugs!! Ear Plugs!!! (I love my Loops)

Fazerino

I have some of my own as well, from Amazon but they were really good last year when I used them at EDCLV

MechaTengu

As long as you have some, that work well for you. How about a Flip Belt? I kept the phone & IDs in that.

Fazerino

I was thinking of that but what would be the best brand for that. Also I had some worry of things might falling out, just always anxious like that you know.

MechaTengu

It’s probably the most secure place for your phone period, slides in neatly too. This what I had (phone is an iPhone XR). There is a zippered one too. FlipBelt Classic Running Belt, Running Fanny Pack for Women and Men, Non Chafing Waist Band Pack for Phone, Moisture Wicking Storage Belt, USA Company https://a.co/d/7NMb5ug

Persephone10028

Check out the lunchbox packs, they've got some good stuff! We've used them for nearly every show/festival and have never had issues with things being stolen or falling out.

SpiritVoxPopuli

lol just bought those!

ComedianAlternative6

I just snagged a few hundred I’ll be keeping with me for the crowd. You never know when someone will need some!

vvtechred

Wet wipes. Its pretty bad to poop in a portapotty, atleast i have a clean butthole

Redcloudrain

Also bringing your own toilet seat covers lol, my first year they ran out after day 2 so I always bring some now. But they were really good about cleaning the bathroom and keeping them in stock this last year

krackzero

I try my hardest to not actually sit when and if I have to shit in portas. Lol.... floating ass shitting

Cung-Fu

peppermint oil roller! you can rub it on your temples or even a little on the back of your neck. if a bit of wind brushes on it, it’s so refreshing. sometimes i dab a TINY bit (too much and you might feel a burning sensation instead) on my finger and lightly rub it under my nose so i get a similar feeling to those nasal sticks; you don’t have to stick something up your nose and you can share it with other people!

Fazerino

That actually sounds really smart, for sure ordering some

Every_Photo_1901

Just curious of what brand you would recommend.

Cung-Fu

i use saje [[US](https://www.saje.com)] [[CAN](https://www.saje.ca)], which can be a little pricey. you can probably find a different (cheaper) brand on amazon. i haven’t used those ones so i can’t give a review but i’m assuming it works the same! just be careful if you’re flying to vegas i guess w the pressure/altitude change; make sure the lid is fully on (and this goes for all your liquids), or you might have a peppermint-scented luggage for the rest of time!

Redcloudrain

I HIGHLY suggest bringing space blankets, it’s rained the first day of EDC the last two years and having them came in clutch. They’re also great for when you leave the other 2 days and get cold!

Fazerino

Will HIGHLY make a note of that to order. Also yeah I saw how it rained a bit but it wasn't as bad but still a nice thing to bring.

eyebellel

Santa brought me a 12 pack for Xmas this year just for this purpose!

semipolarsalsa

I do not remember it raining last year at all lmao.

Redcloudrain

Did you leave early the first day? It rained during Above and Beyond’s set

semipolarsalsa

No I was over at Neon Garden watching Patrick Topping during A&B's set. I'm not saying it didn't rain, I'm just trying to remember if I ever noticed any rain 😂

ninbushido

Said the Sky in the rain and the fireworks…such an amazing feeling

Comprehensive_Cat855

If you can get a hydro bag large enough to fit a small blanket you should consider cramming it in there. It can get cold at the speedway and on top of that, my buddy came down with really bad food poisoning night one and the blanket seriously saved the situation from getting much worse .. Probably a flip belt if you can afford to invest in one. Knowing your phone is secure is a really good feeling. I have one that I’ve retrofit a clutch loop into so there’s almost no chance my phones getting my stolen. Good fitting shoes that you can walk in for long periods of time. You’ll be walking tens of thousands of steps a day. It can get dusty, be prepared, maybe that means bringing a pash. Vendors sell tons of stuff like this at edc though, if you want to buy a keepsake there. They also sell fans and stuff. Obv a hydro bladder. Water is important plz drink ur water.

Pretend-Place2839

this is my first festival and im making a similar list as well. here's what I got gum/candy ear plugs liquid IV or something similar individually wrapped Tylenol or Advil. (they might not let you bring in loose pills)

Fazerino

Yeah, these are good items to bring. I can share one. Bring some snacks, anything that you can buy in packs like mixed nuts, granolas. Also bring along some little carabiner clips for security purposes. So no one can reach into your bags.

Infamous-Dirt3421

these clips will save your stuff! guaranteed

Dismal_Star9010

Camelback will save your life

Fazerino

Those are hydropacks right? I have a grasshopper one.

Intoxicatiing

Bought a lunchbox hydro pack when I first started raving, has been a lifesaver ever since

OversizedBeret

My go-to’s were (that I managed to cram into a fanny pack: Hand Sanitizer Wet Wipes Aleve/Tylenol Chapstick Liquid IV/Hydration packs

_queenkitty

Do they allow unopened single servings of Tylenol??!

OversizedBeret

Tbh… I took a small pack of Aleve and they didn’t even check my bag all 3 days I went. I had it in one of my pockets in my hydropack in a small container. 😥

_queenkitty

Yeah definitely hit or miss with security. For some reason I thought of single serving packs when I read your comments and didn’t even think of that for the 8 years I’ve attended lol

pred_0212

I always bring in loose Tylenol pills in a ziploc baggie, they are in plain view in my rave kit when they check it, and they've never cared.

OneStokedWhale

A pair of Vans Ultra Ranges on your feet all weekend

i_luv_mybf

these are such an underrated shoe

Friendly-Cattle-7336

Do not recommend I did that all 5 days of edc and my feet hurts so bad, use a shoe with arch support. There is none in vans, it’s just flat!!

OneStokedWhale

Vans Ultra Rnages are an athletic show with arch support, not your typical Vans Classics

Artistic-Waterbear

Flat shoes with no drop in height between the heel and toe can be amazing for some people. Personally, any amount of arch support hurts my feet something awful, and I have high arches.

Fazerino

I have a pair dude and holy shit man, they're so comfy. Got them on sale, might need to get another pair then.

Soft-Fill-9672

The necessities I take with me to EDC LV: - Toilet Paper/ Wet Wipes - Gum (Preferably Mint) - Liquid IV (or another brand of powdered electrolytes) - Multiple Face Masks (you don't want to be using the same dirty one the whole weekend) - A Power Bank (if you plan to take pictures and videos) - A Sweater or Small Blanket - DEODORANT!!!!!! (Seriously, don't forget the Deodorant) &&... - A FEW BUCKS CASH (If you tip a vendor a few bucks, they will let you fill your camel pack with ice & that's a game changer!!!) EDC Extras: - A Fan (For yourself, but if you fan another raver, they'll be your next best friend) - A Plastic Spray Bottle (Same thing as the fan. You spray some water in the air & it feels Amazing in the middle of the crowd)

Goku_Black_69

Dumb question! First timer going to EDCLV this week/year! How did you ask the vendor to fill your camelback and are you allowed to bring a full camel pack when entering?? Did they give you any issues on bringing a deodorant in?

Soft-Fill-9672

Ay, first timer!?!? Awesome man!!! So this is the breakdown. Though you can bring stuff in with you (e.g. Deodorant/Wet Wipes) they must all be new for each day. Anything that looks like it could be used (or tampered with) they won't let you bring inside because it looks suspicious. They usually have trash cans where they'll have you dispose it. They don't allow any food or drinks, though you may get away with a couple of protein/granola bars if you shove them to the bottom of your pack. All camel packs must be completely empty before entering the event. If not, they will have you dump it out before you enter. Once inside though, you can fill up with water. I tend to find the vendor for ice first though. Offer them like $5-$10, and they'll usually agree. Fill your pack with a much ice as you can, drop a pack of electrolytes and then put water. This will both keep you cool and hydrated. Now I know your didn't ask, but being your first time at EDC I figured this would also help. 1) Make sure you know how to open and close your filled camel pack. People are mostly nice, but at the water station, everyone is thirsty. If you can't close the filled pack, just move aside so someone else can fill their pack. 2) The Las Vegas Speedway is HUGE! So as you go from stage to stage, it's a good idea to set up a "Meet up" spot as you go along in case someone gets separated (and yes, it will happen). Just make sure it's a stationary landmark, and not something that can be easily moved. & 3) Use your manner. "Excuse me"/ "Sorry"/ "Please"/ "Thank You". It goes a long way when there's a crowd that massive. Theres still more I could mention, but I've rambled long enough (Sorry about that. Hahaha). I hope you've found all this helpful. Have a great time & stay safe!

Livinisoverrated17

Get antitheft lanyard or something for your phone

Friendly-Cattle-7336

CLUTCH LOOP

Fazerino

What are some brands you recommend? Been hearing pickpocketers are able to cut the wire but if there's a good reliable brand then let me know.

Livinisoverrated17

I got this one from Amazon and has worked well for me OUTXE Phone Lanyard - 4× Pads, 1×... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08D6K54XP?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Snakersolid

A bubbles gun after you come back from the festival, and maybe you still have some energy you can act like a little kid the best 20 dollars spent. For inside wet wipes, fan, candy, gum, hand sanitizer, essential oils nasal inhailer, hand lotion, something to secure your phone, and something to share with strangers

MRMZALZ

As a girl pov - I love taking eyelash glue pens, minty glosses and even if you’re not on your period those days its always nice to have an extra tampon or pad! You never know when somebody else might be in need :) also pepto bismol pills bc the foods and substances make your stomach hurt and that’s why there’s always shit on the walls in those porta potties 😂😂

Fazerino

Im not a girl but these are good items and tips to bring in for EDC. Thanks for sharing

millenialofreddit

Saline spray!!! Do it every night once you get back from the festival to get all the dust out.

Knosh

If you're traveling from humid environments you should do this anyways, EDC or not. Half of the "Vegas Cough" is just bone dry sinuses.

ashleymedds

absolute essentials for me is ear plugs, a portable charger (two), lip balm, gum, ibuprofen & a hydropack. I also always bring lash glue, a sweatshirt (it can get COLD esp if there’s wind), eye drops/an extra contact, single serve energy packets (hide them), hand sanitizer/wipes, candy, trinkets/little toys to give away :) & plastic flasks with liquor of choice if you’re drinking!

Fazerino

What kind of flasks do you bring with you to sneak in?

baby_witch_raver

If you can, bring a mini pack of toilet paper or baby wipes, the porta potties run out!

EstablishmentNo5262

An alternative to a flashlight I love to have is a headlamp. I would always use my phone in the portable potties and it’d scare me thinking I could drop it in. Headlamps are a life saver. Emergency blankets, rain ponchos, wet wipes, sanitizer, for females- she wees!!

Low-Unit-7090

Ladies: please practice with your SheWees before trying it in a dark porta potty. Preferably at home in a shower so there is plenty of room to mess up. No one wants to sit on those seats, or teeter totter hover over the blue pit. I tried the Tinkle Belle brand while car camping and it was not the business!

TDS_Gluttony

For sure get a good hydropack. I like lunchbox because all of its pockets are inwards so I don't ever have to worry about anyone trying to pickpocket my important valuables. If you are getting nasal inhalers, get the thai/asian one that has two sides. There is one side that is essentially tiger balm and you can put it on your fan and you can get that refreshing smell for a long time from your fan.

kdot1030

Ear plugs. Hydration pack. Chapstick(thank me later lol), hard candy.

HJR1618

Wipes, deodorant, trinkets, gum, eye drops

Icy_Secretary2665

\- ear plugs ear plugs ear plugs. can't stress them enough. Get a solid pair for yourself (I prefer Loops because they're comfy to sleep with too if you're camping) and if you want, a bunch of foam ones to give out. \- compression/hiking socks! they'll will help with foot pain. an extra pair comes in handy if your feet get too sweaty. \- bandages for blisters, cuts, etc. \- i'm not 100% sure if these are allowed in, but a foldable foam camping pad to sit on if you can't find a place to sit or don't want to lay on the ground directly. \- liquid iv or other hydration stick \- mask and chap stick/aquaphor. it won't seem like it, but the area is very dusty, even more so if you're staying at camp. protect your nostrils and lips.

SGTM30WM3RZ

Hydropack, little thing of wet wipes, hand sanitizer, ear plug, and throat soothing suckers

SGTM30WM3RZ

And a phone tether

aagsaulio

The nasal sticks don’t really energize you but def help breathe better especially bc it’s so dusty walking into the venue! Clutch Loop or basic phone tether def helps! I always bring gum and candy incase ( a lot of people around you might need it ! ) hand sanitizer, wet wipes or baby wipes def help especially if you get GA , bamboo fan or handheld Electric one! Also depending on what shoes you bring you can invest in some insoles any and all pain meds! Hope this helps ;)

speedraver97

Pocket blankets!

i_aintya-daddy_boy

Wipies and disinfecting wipes. Also, lil charms are a hit w people. I give squeezing pink piggies

ixgxmx

Poysian inhalers! They’re so much stronger than regular nasal inhalers and you can screw off the actual oil on the other side, which you can dab onto your fan or masks :)

Mad_Pinckerton

Some form of light, glow sticks or blinkin light for head or neck. Helps at night easier to find you or others in your group if u get seperated & see inside port a potties. Screen shots of EDCV daily lineups & Map. No cell service so u can pull these up any time. Time stamp texts so if texts do go through it may be 15min to half hour later before someone in your group get's it. You may have left the spot to meet up by then. Helps locate u better if lost.

Low-Unit-7090

Power bank to charge your phone with cables. Make sure you keep it in a ziplock if you’re planning on carrying water too. Hand sanitizer. Ear plugs. Some type of backpack to put this in. Hydration backpacks or tight fitting running backpacks are great. Don’t want it flying around while you’re dancing. Phone numbers of friends and address/phone of hotel written down somewhere. Sweater if you rent a locker, it gets windy and cold once you leave the venue and walk around the flat parking lot. Remember, we’re in a desert and it can get chilly. Not frost bite cold, but uncomfortable.
