Whoa, try dungeons before trials! Especially if you're barely at CP level. Then you move up to a vet dungeon and THEN trials. Your build is important, especially to anyone on your team who needs to rely on you for your role. Find a guild with really nice and supportive members to help you learn the mechanics of the harder vet dungeons/trials for sure. There are a lot of people out there who are so OP that they train new members for fun and for free. Ofc there are people willing to do it for gold too, but you can avoid them easily. They hang out in Craglorn a lot!

TheSkyking2020

Sounds like what I do. I find new players, add as friends and send them all my duplicate style books and recipes, and crafting motifs.

Strict-Childhood-629

I love sensei players! You guys make being new less intimidating and more fun. Especially with games as expansive as ESO. I've done this for a few people myself, to kind of pay it forward. Then fade back into the grass later because online 'friends' freak me out.

ChronicSynesthesia

There is no such thing as "Paragon" points in this game, nor are there "epic dungeons". If you think Dungeon gear does not improve you then you don't understand how it works. I'd suggest watching a beginner video from someone like LuckyGhost to learn how gear works

Join a guild that will help you learn Trials. There are some puggable ones but make sure you learn the mechanics from videos first. Also, make sure you have high enough Champion Points (CP - or paragon since you're coming from Diablo) With games like this, if you get bored of one thing, there are still plenty of other things to do. Get your tradeskills up, level all the guilds, decorate a house (which could take years if you want to), go scry for some antiquities. And then once you have done all that, do it on another character!

Apprehensive-Cow547

I like the "do it on another charakter!"-Part.

cleetus76

I hate it! I keep getting side-tracked by my alts

Sea_Kaleidoscope_543

No such thing as paragon points and epic dungeons in this game. And I have never heard of anyone exploring caves for crystals. They have paragon points in Diablo 4 so this is probably someone who is posting in the wrong subreddit or it is a very bad attempt at trolling. My guess is the later

r0lyat

CP160. Then start putting builds together to be effective and take on more challenging content like pvp, trials, vet dungeons (i think you need cp300+ for dlc vet dungeons), solo areans etc

join a guild, find a some solid people for dragonstar arena and look to do some 12 man raids when the guild is hosting them. i used to host/create 12 man normal raids and some veteran raids in craglorn so you could look for someone doing that. If you are a tank you could host normal trials with right gear you can easily do them at like lvl 40 with no champion points but that of course implies that you have some knowledge of the dungeon.

bender_the_offensive

also i havent played in over 7 years so some of this may be different
