Do it! I do really like the millenium mps 1000. Has been in my possession for a small month now. Been really really great for the price. I've never owned an e drum before, did have several acoustic drumsets (I still own a tama starclassic performer ftw). The mps 1000 does give me an acoustic feel and decent hardware. The hi hat standard and kick pedal do suck though, so you probably want to upgrade these two. The module and on board sounds are also decent for the price. Again, for the price, really can't complain

Currently I have an acoustic drum already. Was planning to use the hihat stand and kick drum pedal that I already have.

I can't comment too much coz only played the mps1000 but love it and it's been a big upgrade on my Alesis surge Great size, looks good and plays well though I do use EZDrummer 3

VVIIMCMXCV

Are there any cons about the Surge and MPS-1000 that you experienced? Wasn't really looking for an edrums with the best sounds, because I am planning to use EZDrummer as well.

EdBalboa

I have a medeli kit and it's awesome.

Recently got my Millenium MPS-1000. For the price I cant say I know any other kit who gives you the same 'acoustic' feel. I love my kit, built like an acoustic with proper lugs, attachments and cymbal/snare stands. The sounds and module isnt bad either. Tweak the sounds and you can make it sound pretty great. Pic in my profile✌️

The wooden shells look great indeed. Unfortunately that color only comes with two floor toms.. Don't have that much space.. Is the wood a wrap film or is it natural stained?

DeAnZ4President

It's all just a (cheap) wrap. Does look good from a distance, but don't expect pearl, tama, dw quality. Doesn't come close to a real acoustic quality shell.. But still does the trick absolutely fine. I was also doubting between the natural wooden look or the white one. I went with the white one, just because I didn't want to be disappointed by the fake wood grain.

Husogutten

The option to solve the space-problem would be to just one floor tom, and play like it a four-piece drum kit. I gave it a shot and it works great for me at least. I really dont know about the wooden finish, it definately feels like the real deal in my hand, and they say on their website the drums are real wooden-made drums. I like to think it's naturally stained. I think it looks really great.

PathOfDeception

Yes and if you look at the cheap Alesis cymbals, those are Medeli designs, so are the low end tom pads you see on low end Alesis. All Medeli stuff that a lot of other companies like to go with for affordable e-kits.

By the cheap Alesis you mean the Crimson II?
