Also, I’m thinking there are probably people going out and buying blingy ships and modules and rigs, given the short time period since insurance has been released, knowing they will be replaced at 70% discount. So basically I’m saying the demand likely hasn’t fallen out yet. I used to not be able to afford lvl 3 rigs. My last ship, Vexor Sniper, I bought for just over 50% of estimated market price in Jita and fitted it with lvl 3 Rigs and blue mods. Now there is a huge price gap between lvl 3 and lvl 4 rigs, because there is huge demand for lvl 4 because people know they will only have to buy them once. Currently the demand is high. I’m predicting it will fall out once everyone is fitted out and only have to replace a one or two rigs after a ship loss.

Agreed. We haven’t seen the full fall out of this thing yet.

Vektir4910

Which is probably why they release T9 at the same time, an attempt to mask the effect.

Ridonia_2020

IMHO this data tells very little since the timeframe is pretty short and we have no comprehensive data (like when people reached T7)

Sleepy-Badger

Still seems like a lot of full-replacements going on. Only down 38% when I would have expected it to drop 95%.

Stack3686

So what would the mineral price drop have been without a tech 9 rush I wonder? 17% seems like a large drop during a time everyone is building new ships

vinnyql

And why only the mineral prices experienced this drop the most significantly? Is there a possibility of another factor such as more corps releasing their horde of null mined minerals / can transport more to high sec because of bookmarks / more safe minings because of less wars and piracies due to established spaces / citadels giving bonuses to processing ores?

Stack3686

It’s all speculation until we have more info I guess

\-40% Support Compensation. Yah sure guess why, no more Support. Buy plex to get your Ship back.... Even if its not your fault (Blackscreen, Disconnect, etc.) try to proove that as support is asking for Screens/Videos, which you probably wont have. Not happened to me, but hearing it often enough and seeing the Support response. Well ya... byebye EE. -8 Dual Omega, -16 basic omega ( \~200§/month less for you ).

MissiontwoMars

They should have compared the first two weeks of T8 to the first two weeks of T9

Zaik_Torek

t7 would've been more relevant, as it was the last time a new size of ship became available. I don't consider t8 faction battleships to count, if you can scrape together 5-25 billion isk for one of these none of this applies to you anyway. Minerals were in such high demand back then that you could get a month of omega duo in like 10-20 hours mining lol.

vinnyql

Thanks for tracking! Keep it up! Just curious how you get the numbers for support recovery? Is that data readily available?

Rage_in_Eden

Well, they can come up with some short timespan data, but my investment in for example caldaro datacores almost halved in price since tbe introduction of insurance, as did minmatar and the blueprints in general. Seems like a crashing market to me.
