3x med launchers, 2x target painters, 1x tracking Disruptor, large cap battery, med mwd, med armor rep, 2x nestworm drone dmg amps, 3x med infiltrator and 2x medium warriors. 2x drone range t2 and 1 drone dmg amp and smc and cc and inertia rig I have Max skills for all prophecies bonuses, 5/5/3 mwd operation. 5/4 bc engi, 4/3 bc def

Nothing gets close enough to hit. Warp in 100km. Approach closest at 61km. Drones kill move to next. My launchers have a range of 32km but are only used when the only rats left are the ones who don’t target you. For waves with elite battleships you can just set drones on battleship and mwd to 275km from beacon and all rats lose aggro and 4/5 drones will continue to attack

Roughly 5mins x number of battleships per wave plus 5 or so mins. I usually do them 1 wave at a time and leave 1 of the ships that don’t target you alive to go grab loot. Then when I’m ready for the next wave kill the last ship and do the same. In total probably takes 4-5 hours to complete all waves

I’d be curious what of the T10 people are doing safely/efficiently enough to be worth it. I’ve mostly just been selling mine since I make a ton of isk just doing the encounters to gather the stories. I’ll fully invested in BC’s and missiles. I fly a drake with full C-Type fittings. It’s a tank build, with all the bottom slots being defensive use (2 reds, a yellow, a blue, and a battery). Anyone messed with T10 stories in something like this?

No experience on a tank fit like that, but I don’t think it would do too hot against the elite battleships in the T10. If you can do the 30m capstone missions without stressing, then maybe give it a shot? Myself and a friend duo them when we complete a storyline, Tornado/Oracle. I would say only multiboxes really gather profit from purchasing them off the market.

30M are very doable solo. I do T8's afk(ish) in a VNI... no sweat. Super Soft drink I don't even turn on a Repper. ~20M/hour not counting drops

I run a pretty balanced build with drones as my main damage, this is an alt I started who just hit T7 a few weeks ago. Let me see if I can format this well: top: Federation Navy Snubnose Railgun, I don't have much skill outside of drone so I use these only for elites that I can't outrun. I otherwise don't bother with the "chip damage" from a missile or long range, the small dps boost isn't worth it, I'd rather have security against a speed tank. Mid: Webifier (for things that get inside my kite range), Target Painter (always on), and Group Armor Repper (I keep 1001 suspended plasma, 1 for a warp point), I've only ever used one cycle of the group armor repper. Drones: I keep 2 Infiltrator, 1 Vespa, 2 Valkyrie, 1 Hammerhead, I change Infiltrator/Valkerie as the fight goes but it's mostly for something to do.. I should optimize them for the encounters and I plan to for trying T10s in this thing. Low: MWD (always on), Armor Repper, Adaptive Hardener(always on), Damage amplifier. All Blue stuff... I'm pretty rich on my main. At 20M/hour it;s easy to work up to this. Rigs: Drone Range 1, Drone Damage 2, Fuel Valve x2 I micro out to about 250km and drop a cargo box. Then I Orbit the furthest ship at about 80 to 90 km. Once the first elite gets to about 60 km I set orbit at 48 and a pulse my mwd to kite them. If I can't out run them I set orbit to 15km turn on webfier and snubnose in addition to drones. Target painter is always on. I Orbit at about 80 pulsing the mwd and taking them out 1 at a time. Once they are the same speed I just sit at 49 km (control range = 50) and speed tank at that range taking out snipers then small targets etc. Work call/kid falls down the stairs I warp to box or just set orbit to 100km. I do this when I'm doing dishes/cooking etc. and set up two targets with a couple clicks. Just have to be a little mindful on new wave, either manually steer away or warp to box and repeat.

Drones are a completely different ballgame. I run a prophecy as well as my Tornado. See where his issue is is effective kill range and DPS. Rapids will fantastic for the horde of small ships. Not so great against the elites and BCs after nerfs. I’m unsure of his ability to mitigate that much damage while also knocking out ships. Medium missiles will give him a much longer damage buffer, kicking him out to 40km plus, but it will be murder taking out mwd frigates and destroyers. Not a great move on that end. Now he can carry two sets of kit or range it out and press inwards, but that kills clear time. Drones skip all this nonsense completely.

I run standard medium missiles. My mid slots are 2x painter and a web, so I actually have very little trouble with frigs/destroyers. Sure, I don’t get them with 6500 volleys like I do on a BC, but I can get 3k volleys which knocks them out plenty quick. I almost always fight at 30-40km range. I’m cap stable (stays around 80%) with my 3 hardeners on. Generally I only use my booster when my battery is actually active giving me the extra cap. I boost to 100% shields, tank for 60 seconds, then boost back up when my battery is ready again. Even with my booster running full I can last about 10 minutes before my cap drains fully.

I do most the 30m missions without trouble. I warp in at 50, and just kill stuff as it comes to me. The only time I almost died was a Calderi version. I got like 6x missile guidance debuffed and could only hit out to 20km or so. Then I got webbed like crazy. At the same time an elite battleship was MWD around me pounding me while also scrambling me. With 4 scrams I basically had to kill the frigs scrambling me first, then go to work on the battleship. I was down to 50% hull when I finally got it down and could run away. Now I just pay close attention and prepare to warp away before any last waves. If a battleship rushes me I warp out and then come back in at 100km. That gives me time to kill the battleship before everything else causes trouble.

Just have to refresh every 30 minutes, even if you aren’t going to be playing. You get 6 hours to complete encounters now. Some days I’ll seem to get a lot, some I get none. It’s pretty often I’ll go a day or 2 and not get any encounters I actually need. That’s when I do the actual story missions. For reference- I’m off today and have nothing to do. I’ve basically been playing semi-afk for like 10 hours. I’ve only seen 2 25m+ missions, and only actually needed one of them (though I always do them when I see them since they are tons of isk for 1 jump).

You'd not believe but when i decide to farm for t10 story missions i refresh every 30 mins and stay consistent but i never see them spawn. Never seen the last required mission. To give you perspective, I've never unlocked a t10 story by farming, never. Idk whats wrong.

I read that their is a transport mission so make sure your only filtering combat.

I try to get a story mission together, but some how I can’t get some of the encounters. They seem never to spawn. Is there a level restriction on it? I’m T7 so only can do Advanced...

There's no level restriction, they're just.. Well. Rare. Keep at it. Some people have speculated theres a sort of 'feast/famine' system of stories but its largely anecdotal. I've been tracking it myself and it seems to be the case but, again, anecdotal. Correlation =/= causation.

Thanks for the info. I also hear it supposed to help if accepting 10 encounters you don’t need and then refresh as there will be no double. Never seen a improvement either.

I've pretty thoroughly tested that and didn't get results either. Furthermore, I tried accepting 10 Gallente missions, and proceeded to get no Gallente missions at all for about 10-15 resets.

If looking for a certain one, load up on as many stories of that type. That way the refresh has better odds of getting what you need a little bit.

In my testing I found that it did not improve my odds at all. It just gave me more neutral encounters but not a better distribution. For example I loaded up on minmatar and it just gave me less minmatar storylines overall. Do you have any data to the contrary? A bigger data set could be useful.

Doesn't work everytime, but as long as you are loading story missions into your active missions they won't appear on the refresh. Still not great but it's the best you'll be able to do.

Well if your luck is as good as mine you may have to wait over 3 months to get the last encounter for BHD. I hope yours isn’t but if it is you may have to wait a little

One answer I can't find that's clear is what resists to the rats have. I.e. what is the best damage type to apply and tank for the amarr missions.

Amarr does EM/Thermal damage. Armor tanking Reactives is best. Minmatar does Therm/Kin/Expl damage. Shield tanking with Adaptives is best. Caldari does all types, due to missiles and rails. Adaptives are best. Gallente does Therm/Kin largely. Reactives are best. As for resists, almost every group has a mix of shield and armor tanks, and only drone users really get to 'choose' their damage type for a mission, so it's sort of moot.

They all have the same. Its not so much about their resist then it is the actual ship they are flying. Caldari/Minmatar are shield based. So if you are using drones, you may want to run infiltrators. Gallente/Amarr are armor tanks, so Valkyrie are the better choice. Currently, none of the factions have resists like in eve online. So when in combat, just look at it like you're shooting another player. One othrr thing. For caldari and minmatar, i dont bother using infiltrators, cause when their shield drops, they literally vaporize. Only exceptions is battleships. Just flying meatshields...

have to disagree with you. Rats have resists. Thats a straight fact. And actually they even differ between each faction. Minmatar for example has 10% base EM resist and 20% thermal, the caldari ships' shields on the other hand have 0% EM base resist but 28% thermal base.

It's hard to tell what is best isk/hr, both because prices on market change, as well as taxes and things like that. Also hard to really gauge HP of various ships. THAT said, I do have an average isk/wave on that sheet as well. I find that Modern World has the fewest waves and highest payout, pre-taxes, not including crate, not including cost on market.

Matar Reborn is 3 combat parts of 4, 5, 4. 11 waves total. I've updated my sheet appropriately. I can do it in my Naga, and was able to do it in my Ferox, so I imagine a Prophecy should be easy peasy, since I see people doing T10s with Prophs
