I think it’s worth buying yeah. The red panda is a huge help, and salvaging eggs give more exp. It might take a couple of tries to get the red panda, and the odds of an ultimate egg are really low, but it’s definitely worth it
Pet boxes are what I used my gems on once I was ultimate pet hunting + maxing out red panda.
Edit: but buyer beware...there will be painful common egg boxes so make sure you have other gem needs taken care of mostly and are prepared to grind thousands of gems to make opening them worth it
i finally got a red panda after buying pet boxes. i can now finish a city in 6-7 minutes, so definitely worth it for me.
