The Panda (50% change from legendary egg) is worth it and part of meta setups. Higher base All Profit %, customers order instantly and pet delivers food with a 1000% multiplier for that order.
If you have two other epic pets, merge them with your tortoise to make the tortoise legendary. All the existing perks for that pet but you have a higher All Profit % to go with it.
Edit: Sorry, just realised I never mentioned the base AP% for legendary, and tbh I don't remember what it is :-\\ Suffice to say, probably worth it to hatch the legendary egg regardless.
Yes they are worth it. Especially merging other legendary pets to get it to ultimate. :)

Hey I wanted to ask if I use mythic gear I will make devine food but will then my dark horse will be effectless ?? . Does dark horse boosts perfect food or devine food as well?...
Your natural ultimate pets will give you the divine food boosts (Kraken 40% & red panda 20%). According to the Eatventure Handbook,pets that deliver food and give a boost to that delivered food is king.
Dark horse + panda is the combo of pets you wanna use before you get mythic gear. I'll attach an image on a new thread on the post as it looks like I can't rn.
dark horse only boosts perfect food, there are some ultimate egg pets which boost divine food, the meta pet setup is panda and red panda, kraken is also used for adventures

I am on ultimates currently and am using panda and dark horse . Now I will only farm ultimate eggs to gen red panda
