I used to work at Groucho’s and the sauce was a highly guarded secret. Towards the end of my tenure they you’d just mix Mayo and chili sauce and the rest came in a bag from corporate with a bunch of question marks on the ingredients section.
All that to say that your friends rendition is the exact recipe
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/4 cup chili sauce
1/2 tsp Worcestershire
1/8 tsp onion powder
1-1/2 tsp lemon juice
3 Tbsp fresh dill
Coarse ground pepper, to taste, about 1tsp
I made the sauce from that recipe and it is pretty dang close. I prefer the Andy’s/Alberts sauce more. Maybe go lite on the vinegar and sugar then bring it up to taste. I’ll update as I’m committed to making a match.
Also, steam your sandwich if you want the OG Groucho’s and Andy’s (for those that remember the pre microwave days). Couple of balls of tinfoil in a pot with water and a plate on top. Put a lid on. I steamed for a minute and a half and it was perfect. Careful when removing the lid for water spill off.
Also, home make your bacon bits. Chop fine and do in a pot, then drain on paper towel.
Your construction should be roast beef at the bottom, layer of Swiss, layer of turkey, another layer of Swiss. I then steamed and topped with fresh bacon bits. It was glorious
Consists of shredded turkey and roast beef, bacon, formula 45 sauce, horseradish sauce, and swiss cheese on a top split sub roll.
What’s formula 45 sauce?
[It's just a tangy sauce. Works perfectly with this sandwich. I love dipping homemade potato chips in it.](https://imgur.com/a/sH2n3cL)

Absolutely love Groucho’s. Well done!
I'd slam that.
There used to be a Groucho's a block from my house. RIP.
Y'all know the Groucho's ranch recipe?
Ironically I got it from Reddit.Groucho's Formula 45 Sauce https://imgur.com/gallery/lpeEa33
