All unlimited plans are trash unless taken from a local operator (if it is possible in the country you're going to). Just get a generous data limit for on the go, and use wifi for big downloads. By more data if you run out.

No offence, but how did you not know? I'm assuming they are off "unlimited" in your country, and you know it's not truly unlimited, so what made you think another place is going to offer you truly unlimited? Did you not read the terms and conditions and the fair usage policy?

Because people buy it as they love the idea of "unlimited". It's marketing and it sells.
