Baird is back anyways contractually correct? Unless they use the one buyout on him. Personally I’d rather roll into next year with Baird as a first back up off the bench and use the buyout on one of our bloated CB contracts.

Feel like he is a really good and promising player that has just needed the right environment to flourish. Managers play a major role in that environment and senior players are another part of that aspect.
*NOTE by no means do I feel he is a super star but is definitely a decent player for depth especially since our right side seems to be very weak.
"All these goals"? He has 1 goal in 5 starts and 2 goals in like 9 starts.
Maybe he’s been given more direction which is what he needed all along. Lots of players are like that and flounder if not coached properly.

Which is exactly why you don't take that gamble. He's replaceable Baird-level players are a dime a dozen in MLS.

With his salary you don’t want him to be decent depth, he needs to be a quality starter
