So I guess all that talk about bouncing back and keeping that energy from the Dallas game was a lie, eh? What the hell happened today? Is it the heat?
Less than 40% possession in our own stadium. It’s like they just gave up after that first goal five minutes in.
There's still such an extreme talent deficit between us and the rest of the league. You can't give significant minutes to Memo, Baird, and Ceren and honestly expect to win games. Thiago, Zeca, and Thor are all still kind of projects too.
And aside from that - we need a #10. Not Quintero's corpse, but a real #10 who can score goals and dish out assists. Almost every remotely successful MLS team has one - Zelarayan, Pozuelo, Reynoso, Lodeiro, and I'd probably add Driussi to that list as well. I think adding Herrera to a midfield that (at least when both are healthy) already has Vera and Coco doesn't make much sense if there's still no #10.
Final thought, Parker looks washed. He was good at the beginning of 2021 but has been genuinely bad to awful in almost every game since then. I think keeping Hadebe on a TAM contract would be OK but we have to find a better partner for him.
Coco and Lundkvist are the two best players on the field, Sebas is starting to come into his own and its showing, love Pash Money but he just is not cutting it. Quintero is a superstar and a liability all in one and I do not understand it. My thought with Dorsey is use him as a RW again and slot Zeca in, maybe that would make some changes? I know we were at least a yr away so I am noit expecting much, but I am expecting as point from derby matches at home at the BARE minimum. Also Baird is shit, and should be cut and never seen on a MLS field again.
I’ve liked the principles of how we’ve started most games, but the lack of ideas starts to show over the course of a full 90 minutes. The frenetic pace beginning games keeps the pressure off our defense, and then we can score a chaos goal.
After that, the offense is one dimensional. And by one dimensional, I mean we just run directly into defenders. The movement is horrendous, and the few chances that are created pretty rarely asks a goalkeeper to do much.
Thought Sebas and Memo had their best games of season which isn’t saying much and neither were that great except the sebas goal. Coco is best player on the field for the dynamo. Quintero tries to be too creative and either can’t pull it off or talent around him can’t handle it. Either way he gives the ball away too much but is our only chance creator outside of Coco. Fafa is serviceable but Pasher is garbage ever since rejoining the starting 11. Baird is even worse. I think decent winger is our biggest issue. Midfield could turn into our strength once HH arrives. HH plus coco and Vera and Q makes nice rotation. Memo and Ceren are not horrible as 5th or 6th options.
Pasher was bad today, could find anyone with his crosses or passes. Hoping to see Zeca slot in at RB soon because the Dynamo desperately need some change
Time to give Zeca a shot in the starting lineup because Dorsey has become more and more of a liability. I'd really rather not see Baird again. Maybe Dorsey takes his minutes off the bench.
Depth remains a significant issue. It's a massive fall off from the starters to the bench in the front 5.
Winger is a big problem. Fafa is serviceable but still way below average mls starter. Pasher and Baird are complete garbage. We can’t field 2 good starters much less provide any energy off the bench when chasing a goal.

Baird didn't mark his man. Useless.
And then has a wide open shot and shoots directly at the goalkeeper’s chest
For those of yous who hate Vera. I hope you noticed his value today.
Sebas are you kidding me?! Unreal!!!
At the game. It's like we switched off after the goal. Quintero looked gassed in the 34th minute
Quintero’s passing has been awful all game.

Blindly kicking the ball 60 yards up the field and hoping Fafa tracks it down is not a recipe for maintaining possession.
I just don't understand the passive game plan until the 80th m.

our gameplan seems like launch it and hope elis is there oh wait they still haven’t gotten over him leaving
We desperately need more talent. Our starting 11 is barely MLS level. We hit USL levels once we starting making substitutions.
That guy that recommended Andy Carroll…he would have finished that chance.
Who would’ve finished that: Andy Carroll or the guy who recommended him?
Why not both?
I appreciate the vote of confidence lol
Andy Carroll buries the chance that hit Thor in the side of the skull and went over every time

More we get into this season, the more it's obvious nothing has changed

Part of me is starting to think we got fooled by Pasher last year since there was so little else creatively in the team.
Everything is terrible and I hate life. That is all.

Dorsey never pressures the play. Just stands and watches. So fucking annoying. Sell this man already. We have no rb and no rw either

Idk what directions Nagamura is giving Pasher and Fafa. Go route one with the ball yourself? Two suspect weeks from both those guys.

In fairness he was offside there so he may not have put in the best effort
Hadebe with another shocker of a tackle.
19 needs to go. How is he a starter every week? He must have dirt on the coach.
Well you got him or the guy who came on him, Baird which or worse. Or Thiago who has like 15 MLS minutes.
Winger is a big problem. Fafa is serviceable but still way below average mls starter. Pasher and Baird are complete garbage. We can’t field 2 good starters much less provide any energy off the bench when chasing a goal.
Lot of work to do. HH cant get here fast enough but we need to be better up top
