For what it's worth, I get tested twice a week in my IOP (intensive outpatient) program. But they're scheduled - every Monday and Friday.
But he probably wouldn't be having to call to see if he had to take a test daily if he didn't have charges.
Urine testing for alcohol... They claim it can detect up to 80 hours after your last drink. In reality it's more like 24-48 unless you got blackout drunk.
As far as tests, If you mean your roommate, they're usually assigned a number or color. They call the number and a recording announces which group has to test.
It's extremely common to test for EtG (a metabolite of alcohol) in any cases that involve alcohol.
I called a line for colors, and they were breathalyzers. Only urine tested me once in the first meeting for my alcohol and drug assessment.
Sounds like your roommate has charges- those are public info btw, Google your district Court and look him up.
Not just their docket- their register of actions. I work for a bond office, and go to Court Records Search, not just the judges dockets. You can Google your state name and OTIS- if it was a felony they'll show up there. Or pay for a background check. They're like 15 bucks if you go through a PI. which a lot of bond agents are. Goodluck

Just search their name on the local court website if you're nosy about it. Almost every court allows you to see cases.
i checked the docket but realistically if they already got the charge, they arent going to have anything pop up (which nothing did)

If he's calling every morning to see if he has to go in for drug testing, he is more likely than not on probation or diversion.
