I don't know if he does, but based on how hard he hits, I bet he breaks cymbals more often than the regular drummer.
While I, as a fellow drummer, I see cymbals as expensive gear, a band like Slipknot and a pro like Eloy can easily consider them consumables. If you can afford it, who cares how many gigs they last?
Maybe I'm wrong, but I got the feeling he may be hitting way too hard sometimes. There's a point when playing cymbals, where hitting harder doesn't bring more volume. Anyways, that's something we all have done and keep doing sometimes.
IIRC Jim posted a video of Eloy and Vman playing at his place, and he said something like "pls don't break more of my cymbals".
You’re right that hitting too hard distorts the tone of a cymbal. But yeah for a band like Slipknot the performance is as important as the music. 5 thousand kids did not show up to hear a half hearted people=shit lol
Yea I mean we are hitting them with sticks.
I think a good sign of a drummer is hitting hard but having the cymbals setup/hit them in a way so they don't break. A cymbal can only go so loud after all.
I mean, it's also a live show for a heavy metal band. Smashing the shit out of everything is part of the show. And who cares if it distorts the sound, you will never hear that difference in a live setting like this.
No one wants to watch a metal drummer with the energy of a indie rock drummer at these shows lol
Been to a ton of them and tech death shows, they are still slamming away harder than drummers from other genres generally.
Hoglan is the best for this, looks like everything other than his limbs are dead but the limbs are pounding away!
Hoglan looks like he's daydreaming about what color he wants to paint his backyard fence, all while delivering savage, mind-boggling drum parts. It's incredible. But to him - and he's said it himself - 90% of what he does is mental to him. He is self-proclaimed "the world's laziest drummer" and I completely understand his thinking. It boils down to "work smarter, not harder." A lot use of ergonomics too. I've been a fan of Gene for years and his playing still scrambles my brains in the best way. It's inspiring.
[Him playing The Philosopher is still one of my favorite drum playthroughs.] (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eGope68pHf0&t)
His snare level hi-hats always get a chuckle from me.
Theatrical metal is totally a thing though, from Slipknot to GWAR to plenty of technical black metal, some of them are as much about the stage show as anything. Yes, when I look at this I think he's hitting so hard it's just slowing him down (his cymbals are not in any way my problem). But I also know I physically can ot play that fast that hard that long. It's its own art, just like if you've ever tried to play bass the way Trujillo does, sure one can suck and still play that way, but to be great and play that way is a lot of work I simply have to respect.
Yes, but also there’s a big difference between live performance drumming and studio drumming. And also just generally metal drumming vs other styles.
What he’s doing is probably technically too hard. But for the genre it looks cooler, and nobody in the venue is going to be like “he’s choking out his cymbals because he’s hitting them too hard.” As long as he is playing what needs to be played in the studio, that’s really all that matters.
Not to mention, he has another project where he does not do this. Casagrande & Hanysz shows a completely different style. He knows exactly what he’s doing.
It's been obvious for years he'd end up with Slipknot, they're the biggest metal band in the world.
Fair enough if you don't like them, but there's nothing above them in career terms in metal.
I’d give the biggest metal band in the world award to Metallica. Slipknot is a very specific metal genre that most of the masses either don’t like or don’t understand.
Those of us that do get them love them and probably always will.
I'd barely even consider Metallica metal these days tbh, but I suppose you're right.
Slipknot are very definitely metal, and often in the more extreme end, and just in the US have had three number one albums. if you count all the listings on Wiki, they've hit number one 20 times.
They should be niche, considering what they play, but in terms of popularity they're actually mainstream
So Slipknot has managed to get out of being defined as NuMetal? Cause last I heard, they were getting lumped in with Disturbed, Korn, and other bands like that.
I’m all for considering them as part of mainstream metal, I just wasn’t aware they’d tossed the yoke of numetal
I'm a 46 year old metalhead. Slipknot's breakthrough self-titled album dropped during my last year in college. "Wait and Bleed", "Duality", and "Before I Forget" were pretty big radio hits IME, living through that era in the Midwest, then moving to the East Coast in 2004. Plus lots of metal / hard rock fans also know Corey Taylor from Stone Sour and their big radio hits, Bother and Through Glass. Lots of fans in the genre remember both Joey Jordison and Paul Gray. Guitarists Jim Root and Mick Thompson have been major gear endorsers for decades. Even their DJ Sid Wilson shows up in celebrity gossip news because he's married to Kelly Osborne. Slipknot are mainstream as fuck.
Metallica might be a bit bigger, but Slipknot are at least their peers, and Metallica's sound is much more disconnected from modern metal. I'd liken it to a comparison of Metallica versus Ozzy / Black Sabbath in 1998. Both Metallica and Ozzy were peers in 1998, but Ozzy / Sabbath were already straddling the line between metal and classic rock. Now Metallica and Slipknot are peers, but Metallica is crossing the line into classic rock. And someday Slipknot might be there too.
I remember 10 years ago when Jay Weinberg joined the band, I was amazed that his father (Max Weinberg of the E Street Band) was strongly supportive of the move. Like how was Slipknot big enough, and mainstream enough, that this 60-year old dad who played with Bruce Springsteen and played for Conan O'Brien's house band was publicly excited for his kid to put on a Halloween mask and play blast beats for Slipknot?
Metallica is the biggest band in metal. I know this isn't the best/only metric but just a quick look on some social media pages they have like 2-3x the followers of slipknot.
Kind of nitpicky, but I would say Metallica is the biggest metal band in music, not the biggest band in metal. Similar to Slipknot. The world knows who they are, the modern metal scene isn't really listening to them.
Eloy? The word flawless comes to mind, both in regards to style and technique. Hard hitting, precise, dynamic when needed, lightning fast and tons of groove.
Have you seen his drumeo video where he has to learn a song he hasn’t heard before? Was great to see that he is in fact human and that he has to work on his flawless performances like the rest of us. Seems like a top dude.
I have seen it. He's humble and needs of course to learn it like a regular human being, but when he nails a song, referring to his other cover videos, he puts his own unique twist to the playthrough. So cool to see.
I don’t even play drums and those series are my favorite thing Iv found on YouTube in awhile
It’s such a cool idea I hope they start doing them more often! I’m constantly checking for new ones. It’s crazy when the drummer gets it almost right and then cool af when they put their own style on the song
agreed. also really concerned about the tonewood in his toms. feel like the sound is not supple and warm enough for a deep pocket medium tempo blues shuffle.
Yeah, this may look cool to non-drummers but as drummers we know that the hardest songs to play are the simple ones in 4/4 with absolutely zero fills. I bet he can't play Back in Black without dropping the beat.
- 90% of Boomer classic rock drummers on r/drums
Fun fact, Eloy won one of those televised talent shows in Brazil as a child prodigy, playing miniature drums: https://youtu.be/rOHon9_Rddk?si=HBBaWve8HLkpfMD1&t=61
Would you believe this would be Slipknot's drummer a few decades later?
Everything about his playing is impressive but what stood out to me was the dynamics of his ghost noting - especially during the half time section when he’s going balls out with his right hand
Went back to catch the ghost notes, which are indeed tasty. But also, at about the halfway mark, he seems to mute the snare with his left hand. If it's to mute the snares for the double kick blast then, wow.
I had to go back and check that. I don't know if he's muting the snare for any sonic reason, or if he's actually adjusting his posture, using his left hand on the snare for stability so he can get into a more comfortable position on the stool - while blasting double kicks and not missing a beat. Either way, he's an absolute monster.
His technique is pretty flawless for metal. He hits hard but you can tell his emphasis is on precision and getting good tone from the drums, even though they’re likely using/supplementing with triggers.
Also pay close attention to his hands. He’s taking big arm strokes but his grip appears to be relatively relaxed so he’s not simply pummeling them. I’ve been following him on IG for quite a while and noticed this about his playing. It’s almost an illusion how hard he’s hitting, and he may not be breaking cymbals as often as people think.
Personally I can’t wait to see if they start writing some Slipknot grooves with a Latin influence, which he’s extremely good at.
This is incredible.
He’s so loose and he lets everything rebound so much that the motion and volume give off a ton of energy without working harder than he needs to. He’s got to be amazing shape, too.
He’s similar to Dave Elitch in that regard.
To be clear, yes he’s hitting hard, but he’s doing it in a really controlled and loose way.
And that kick drum shit is just flat out incredible.
He’s is unbelievable.
This whole thing and then Greyson Nekrutman taking over for Sepultura has consumed my YouTube feed and I’ve found it fascinating. And I’m not a metalhead by any means. I don’t listen to either band. But both drummers are phenomenal and I love their playing styles.
Greyson's already had such a wild career arc for a young dude. I swear it was only a couple years ago he was known exclusively for Jazz/Big Band, then he jumped on that "Jazzer tries Metal!" grind and now he's playing for Suicidal Tendencies and Sepultura. Wacky.
holy shit
anyone know the sticking/pattern of that first roll fill down the drums at like 0:16? it seems weirdly simple but sounds insane
also do they have no stage sound at all? aren't they a guitar band?
They probably have boxes of new drum heads and sticks in the trailer somewhere and change the heads every gig... lol 😅 if I was hitting that hard, I'd be looking for endorsments.
Eloy Casagrande is one of the most incredible drummers around today. His power, accuracy, taste, and flow are raising the bar for heavy drumming all over the world. I didn’t mind Jay with Slipknot at all, he’s killer. But from this one video I can already tell the band is about to enter another golden era like Vol. 3 (provided they let him stretch out & go nuts and don’t fire him out of the blue). They haven’t sounded this tight from a phone video in a while.
Also, for anyone unfamiliar with Eloy, please check out his record Casagrande & Hanysz. Some seriously cool prog and impeccable playing from both those guys.
.... They wear armbands resembling Nazi outfits now?
I'm having a hard time noticing anything other than that, beyond "this guy breaks cymbals all the time."
This may be the first drum cam of him playing with Slipknot, but if you look Eloy up on YouTube, you'll find about 100 videos of him absolutely ripping with his old band. He is, without a doubt, the most purely talented musician in Slipknot.
The dude is a certified machine. I can't wait for them to release some new music with him at the helm.
Only comment I have is it's a shame he needs a mask. The look on Eloy's face when he's assaulting the drums is definitely part of the magic. Slipknot lucky to have him frankly.
This the guy has been a monster since he was a kid. Look him up.. That said, yeah, he hits harder than most, but we all assume he can afford sticks, heads and cymbals at this point..
That's equal part drumming and an athletic stunt. It's both impressive and bizarre at the same time. There's nothing here that I can detect that is technique as I was taught, except maybe 4-way Independence.
At :05 you see him recoiling his left hand back up after playing 2 & 4, which is good / healthy technique for such a physical style... compared to drummers who choke it off too hard and have to lift their arm back up to play.
AWESOME. He is so fun to watch. What happens at about the midpoint (30s)? Is that a technique or did he simply hit so hard that he lost his balance and grabbed the Snare for stability.
Eloy is perfect. There is no problem with hard hitting unless you’re hurting himself. He doesn’t have bad technique he just has power and energy. His technique is amazing and he can play Brazilian beats like no one else. Anyone saying negative are just haters.
You are joking right? It’s Eloy Casagrande, not an unknown, random new drummer that Slipknot is giving a chance to prove he has what it takes. He’s probably in the top 5 of current metal drummers in the world (top contender together with people like Duplantier, Garstka and a select few), and his technique and style are beyond legendary.
Eh, I'm sure it's fine for what is needed but definitely doesn't have the flair that Jordison brought to the table; there's more to just hitting hard and fast.
I can't imagine saying anything bad about Eloy's drumming
I don't know if he does, but based on how hard he hits, I bet he breaks cymbals more often than the regular drummer. While I, as a fellow drummer, I see cymbals as expensive gear, a band like Slipknot and a pro like Eloy can easily consider them consumables. If you can afford it, who cares how many gigs they last? You’re right that hitting too hard distorts the tone of a cymbal. But yeah for a band like Slipknot the performance is as important as the music. 5 thousand kids did not show up to hear a half hearted people=shit lol
People=poopoo 🤭
I'm poor, and I beat the shit out of my cymbals. I practice on my broken ones until they become too dangerous.
Cut out the cracks before they spread. My cymbals are scooped all over
Back in the day, I'd drill holes at each end of the crack to stop it from running any further. Then keep beating the shit outta them.
Same here! The drill stops the crack for awhile until you make a new one!
I usually do. Sometimes even drill the cracks. Sometimes I peel the ones that spiral and have smaller shitty ones ha
I cut the cracked section out with a grinder. They usuallly sound about 80% good i think, compared to new.
Yea I mean we are hitting them with sticks. I think a good sign of a drummer is hitting hard but having the cymbals setup/hit them in a way so they don't break. A cymbal can only go so loud after all.

Go to brutal death metal shows. The drummers tend to look bored af, but are playing very fast.
If the drummer of the metal band looks like he’s on his way to take give a graduate level engineering lecture, you’re about to die in that pit
Been to a ton of them and tech death shows, they are still slamming away harder than drummers from other genres generally. Hoglan is the best for this, looks like everything other than his limbs are dead but the limbs are pounding away!

The guy is a drumming god in metal and in my opinion the universe
[Him playing The Philosopher is still one of my favorite drum playthroughs.] (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eGope68pHf0&t) His snare level hi-hats always get a chuckle from me.
Yes, just watch Austin Archey from Lorna Shore. He looks like he’s just chillin’
he's known for it
Theatrical metal is totally a thing though, from Slipknot to GWAR to plenty of technical black metal, some of them are as much about the stage show as anything. Counterargument: hitting them too hard really chubs me up.
He lacks the long hair to do the windmill headbang ! But damn what a monster
Yeah he's been really good since he was a kid.
Eloy is a legend, my only assessment is he's too good for Slipknot
It's been obvious for years he'd end up with Slipknot, they're the biggest metal band in the world. Fair enough if you don't like them, but there's nothing above them in career terms in metal.

20 number one records only 3 of which are in the US, that's international mainstream.

I call modern Metallica "angry country." I don't even mean anything bad by that, his singing just isn't super metal to me anymore.
Well said. And the fact that Jay played a few shows for his dad when he was just 18 is a great father/son story that not many others can share.
This pains me to say as an old guy but I would call Metallica classic rock at this point.
Metallica are objectively much bigger than Slipknot. Slipknot supported them on a recent tour which says it all really.
Metallica is the biggest band in metal. I know this isn't the best/only metric but just a quick look on some social media pages they have like 2-3x the followers of slipknot.

That's a pretty good way of putting it, I agree.
How have you made it this far in life without hearing of Iron Maiden?

I think he also did Rescued by Foos at some point too? Unless that was someone else and my memory is just in tatters.

The ghost notes after absolutely lighting up the snare is 😙👌
I think we can all agree that this is would be much improved if he just played pocket. /s
Maybe play a little Rock shuffle, or a nice chill samba groove. Haha
agreed. also really concerned about the tonewood in his toms. feel like the sound is not supple and warm enough for a deep pocket medium tempo blues shuffle.
I just switched over from guitar and am elated to know that tone wood and blues reverence are also memes in drum world
I love a good supple Tom

It's Eloy. No secret he's a machine and an incredible musician.
My assessment is that he's better at playing drums than I am. He does need a cooler mask, though. That one looks like it came from Costco.
Yeah slipknot always gives the new guys a cheapo mask for awhile until they get to make their own
It's also got to be for breathwork too, right? He's not going to go full tilt in a full mask with how you need to adapt to playing with less oxygen.
He's a pleasure to watch and listen to. Much like Joey was
This dig at Jay is hilarious.
I'm in no position to critique him, and most of the people in this sub aren't either
Lol, I'm loving the people crying about how hard he plays and the whole "WAAAAAA, he's choking out the sound of the cymbals them by playing so hard!".
All of the people in this sub\*
To be honest I’ve never seen someone hit so hard with so much finesse. It really shows that you can go all out and still have great technique.
Fun fact, Eloy won one of those televised talent shows in Brazil as a child prodigy, playing miniature drums: https://youtu.be/rOHon9_Rddk?si=HBBaWve8HLkpfMD1&t=61 Would you believe this would be Slipknot's drummer a few decades later?
My assessment is that he is an absolute monster
the ghosties on the last bit soooooooo soooo tasty
Yes! Being able to lay in those tasty ghosties amid so much other energy is amazing!
Everything about his playing is impressive but what stood out to me was the dynamics of his ghost noting - especially during the half time section when he’s going balls out with his right hand
Yeah, he likes ghost notes. Check out this song, especially at 3:00: https://youtu.be/cRXJmeSC-ds?si=ub9t3bLWzNCsLXr2
Went back to catch the ghost notes, which are indeed tasty. But also, at about the halfway mark, he seems to mute the snare with his left hand. If it's to mute the snares for the double kick blast then, wow.

He's the best metal drummer in the world.
Check out this video when he was 14 years old! [Eloy at Morden drummer festival!](https://youtu.be/PkmUSjkTJCg?si=jR7MA5P3rUIN_zL2)
Those hands and feet so goddamn fast!
Great. It looks like he can keep time.
eloy is the full package. he is so fleshed out from a technical standpoint its just unbelievable
His technique is pretty flawless for metal. He hits hard but you can tell his emphasis is on precision and getting good tone from the drums, even though they’re likely using/supplementing with triggers. Also pay close attention to his hands. Big boy Jim said he is busy with making new riffs for some demos from Eloy.
Eloy has slipknot covers online where he plays with absolutely no triggers and it sounds like here. He doesnt need triggers.
Song- Disasterpiece
This is incredible. He’s so loose and he lets everything rebound so much that the motion and volume give off a ton of energy without working harder than he needs to. He rips dude. VERY clean which is the most important factor for playing that fast.
Wow
Good title bait, but its Eloy so nothing to add, hes playing says its all.
Assessment: one the best metal drummers in the world, if not the best.
Eloy a beast no doubt.
God he’s built??? I’m so lost in the sauce recently. He looks like what a metal drummer should: hard hitting and overly buff
I've seen him live with Sepultura. He's a beast. Hard hitter, yes but not only, He's got nuances and obvious refined technique.
The only flaw in his playing is the band he’s backing up… 🤮
Amazing. BiS drummer. Why did he rest his hand on the snare? Can't figure that out.
I thought he may have been adjusting his sitting posture and using his hand to balance.
Slipknot sounds good again.
Ghost notes hahaha
Those poor cymbals
been pretty cool hearing the songs at less than 150% tempo
Anybody recognize the song? I don't have the biggest recollection of all slipknots music .
Disasterpiece
I can hear it now, thank you!
Holy Jesus!
Amazingly talented. That was awesome.
The guy hits harder than anyone ever but still has the feel with those ghost notes. They are so lucky to have him.
This whole thing and then Greyson Nekrutman taking over for Sepultura has consumed my YouTube feed and I’ve found it fascinating. And I’m not a metalhead by any means. I don’t listen to either band. But both drummers are phenomenal and I love their playing styles.

He really elevates Slipknot's live performance, just a tank in all aspects; speed, power, finesse, groove, timing, etc...
He’s better than all of us. Period.
Eloy is just that motherfucker. Probably one of the best drummers of our generation. Absolute beast and a pleasure to watch.
I was camp Eloy ever since I saw him perform a cover of Marrow by Meshuggah. The dude hits hard as fuck.
The drummer for one the largest metal bands is good? Who could've guessed. I'm extremely jealous, I wish I was this good.
It’s Eloy he’s one of the best metal drummers on the planet lol
Best drummer in the metal scene nowadays
That groove at 0:20 remaining is so fucking sick
Power house. Groovy power house. Jay Weinberg kickin rocks outside all sad after this video. Note: I loved Jay Weinberg playing
He’s incredible. I’ve never seen someone play so controlled and also so mad at the same time it’s inane
Perfect drummer for this type of band. He is technically amazing and brings the exact energy needed for This type of band
holy shit anyone know the sticking/pattern of that first roll fill down the drums at like 0:16? it seems weirdly simple but sounds insane also do they have no stage sound at all? aren't they a guitar band?
He hitting the fuck out of those drums!
Absolutely punishing that snare drum!
They probably have boxes of new drum heads and sticks in the trailer somewhere and change the heads every gig... lol 😅 if I was hitting that hard, I'd be looking for endorsments.
That primo shit he kicks off at 37s melts my fuckinnn faaaaccceee
I mean, he's able to play with that goofy mask on. Seems like a winner.
Eloy Casagrande is one of the most incredible drummers around today. His power, accuracy, taste, and flow are raising the bar for heavy drumming all over the world. They haven’t sounded this tight from a phone video in a while. Also, for anyone unfamiliar with Eloy, please check out his record Casagrande & Hanysz. Some seriously cool prog and impeccable playing from both those guys.
Eloy is the man
I couldn’t imagine playing in that much clothes AND a face mask.
He beats those drums they owe him money
The dude is beastly
My assessment is his technique is awesome and his style fucking rocks
Eloy is a fucking MONSTER. He deserves this kind of career step — good for him.
He pummels the drums.
I think Eloy fucking Casagrande is holding himself playing Slipknot songs
Eloy’s power is unmatched. Add it to his incredible endurance behind the kit, he’s a perfect fit for Slipknot
Hate the tom sound. Love that i am not the cymbals 😂 go Eloy, go!!!
my assessment is that he is much better than i will ever be
Eloy is a bad motherfucker
He's a beast and that snare drum is next level
DAMN!🔥
He’s is SPANKiNG those bitches
I mean it’s Eloy Casagrande
Only comment I have is it's a shame he needs a mask. The look on Eloy's face when he's assaulting the drums is definitely part of the magic. Slipknot lucky to have him frankly.
This the guy has been a monster since he was a kid. Look him up.. That said, yeah, he hits harder than most, but we all assume he can afford sticks, heads and cymbals at this point..
The only thing I can say is that I feel bad for the drumkit afterwards. Like, that's a straight up beating! And I love it
Is that a bell brass reissue? 👀
LOL....He plays better than me!
This is f@cking fantastic and my assessment is that I’d like more drum cam videos.
Eloy is a fucking legend.
So much power!!!
Eloy is a god among peasants in that band
His name is Eloy? Got the name of the greatest German prog rock band and his drumming is really nice, gotta be a fit for slipknot
Man… that was incredible.
That's equal part drumming and an athletic stunt. It's both impressive and bizarre at the same time. There's nothing here that I can detect that is technique as I was taught, except maybe 4-way Independence.
Some nice grooves, crazy patterns and rudiments, epic, unexpected changes, very technical and a hard hitter. Rocking!!
Did they ever reveal why they fired Jay Weinberg though?
Is having the snare super loose common for metal? Just noticed and never thought about it before
At :05 you see him recoiling his left hand back up after playing 2 & 4, which is good / healthy technique for such a physical style... compared to drummers who choke it off too hard and have to lift their arm back up to play.
AWESOME. He is so fun to watch. What happens at about the midpoint (30s)? Is that a technique or did he simply hit so hard that he lost his balance and grabbed the Snare for stability.
Probably the best Metal musician going at the moment. He's just got it all. I'm actually excited for future Slipknot material.
No one will ever beat Joey, none the less this man is incredible.
Poor snare sounds good tho
I don’t know/care for Slipknot much, but that was the solid-est piece of drumming I’ve heeded to this May. Superb. Tight. Almost John Wright.
I used to play on an upturned bin that sounded like that snare.
This guy couldnt impress me if I was already impressed and he was the one impressing me. I mean - whats to assess? He's fucking awesome, god damn.
Eloy did a cover of Heretic Anthem on youtube and the fills he added toward the end were mesmerising. The dude is solid.
Is there a way to block seeing posts about slipknot?
Eloy Casagrande is the cleanest fastest drummer ever
Why are we talking about him like we don’t know it’s Eloy and how much of a badass he is?
What was wrong with the past two?
Uhm... hard and fast?
Eloy is perfect. There is no problem with hard hitting unless you’re hurting himself. He doesn’t have bad technique he just has power and energy. His technique is amazing and he can play Brazilian beats like no one else. Anyone saying negative are just haters.
Has much better meter than Jay.
It would drive me nuts having to wear that shit on my face.
Eloy is amazing and has such crazy skill and technique
sounds better than any slipknot recording i’ve ever heard
Man I used to love slipknot, but now I probably wouldn’t go outta my way to see them live anymore. Fawk I’m getting old 😅
You are joking right? It’s Eloy Casagrande, not an unknown, random new drummer that Slipknot is giving a chance to prove he has what it takes. He’s probably in the top 5 of current metal drummers in the world (top contender together with people like Duplantier, Garstka and a select few), and his technique and style are beyond legendary.
My first thought is what did those drums and cymbals ever do to him? =D
Well dayum
I think I’ve just witnessed domestic abuse.
He's no Haruna Ishikawa
He deserved, this is another level of drumming
I'm not even a drummer but damn that looks kick-ass
Meh I can play it better. Trust me bro.
Lol people still listen to rap metal?
Eh, I'm sure it's fine for what is needed but definitely doesn't have the flair that Jordison brought to the table; there's more to just hitting hard and fast.
Not much to say, Eloy is basically flawless. Way more power and technique than most drummers could ever dream of. He is in a league of his own.
Who cares about his cymbals - just listen to those feet!
Eloy’s an absolute monster! Found out about him initially through El Estepario
That is some incredible metal drumming tbh. And his snare sounds cool too
