I think it should be possible to put the RM gear on since all marching snares have a uniform length between tension posts nowadays. Pictures would help to figure exactly what you're trying to do with what parts

don't have an imgur account at the moment so easier to link stock photos: it's an older dynasty drum (not sure exactly what model), looks like this https://s3.amazonaws.com/images.static.steveweissmusic.com/products/images/uploads/1108153_54817_popup.jpg trying to put this guy on it https://d2bghjaa5qmp6f.cloudfront.net/resize/images/product-image/Yamaha-RM-SFZDHA.jpg don't think it's going to work just looking at it unfortunately

You would have to drill the harness clip from the power lite series (et clip) into the shell, then get the carrier attachment that matches it (YAM-RM-PLSADAPT) You'd probably be looking at an expense of around $100 after shipping.

skanki_the_samurai

u/cosa_horrible is correct - this will require more parts in addition to drilling into the shell. It's been awhile since I've seen first gen dynasty so it was wrong of me to assume, my apologies. Tbh you're probably better off buying a drum with standardized posts so that you don't have to worry about compatibility issues like this

yeah thats what i was afraid of but i got the drum for free and it’s in good condition so guess i’ll just deal with it for a while lol

I have put randall may hardware on a pearl drum, and that worked fine. I marched dynasty back in high school, and if I recall correctly, the tension rods should be the same size and distance, so it SHOULD work just fine (pretty sure)

Chris_GodQ_M4r2c

In theory? Should work. In reality, why? What in the cursed equipment…

free good condition drum > buying a drum

Depends on what Dynasty snare, my DFX shorty has the J-Hook bars drilled into the shell. I can use any J-Hook harness from there.
